2. Schlag: We're all living in America!

Hey there, I'm back! Here's the second chapter. Again if you see any mistakes feel free to point them out!

Thanks for all the comments on the first chapter! As there was nothing about the German, I'll just leave it German. If someone figures out the connection between the lines though, I'd love to write you a little something as a present ;)

Guest: thank you for repeating the rules of the board. I'm painfully aware of them and since this story is labeled T you won't have to worry at all. Oh and Romano and Feliciano are twins in this version because otherwise Romano would have known their loving mother, which just really can't be. I can't have any happy characters Muhaha

Rising from the Ashes YOLT: Thank you for your comment. I actually have quite a few tutor students in both age ranges. And yes. There certainly are 14 years old acting like that. But please if you don't like it there's no one keeping you here ;)

Yo-senpai: Thank you for your comment. As you see I'm finally continuing :)

Nebula Galaxies: Thanks so much for your praise! I'm trying my best. I hope you'll continue to like it.

"Glory be to you Michael, as you managed to rid earth of evil" the lower choirs sang as said angel returned to heaven. "Praised be God as she made your sword all powerful and our light everlasting."

It was a good day for heaven because a battle had ended and it's soldiers had returned with victory. However Michael, followed by his troops, wore no smile, but a grim look. His eyes shining as bright red as the blood on his angelic robes, he allowed the melodies to wash over him and his soldiers to dwell in the healing music before he dismissed them. Their battle was over; for now. Michael knew that the war had just began all over again.

It was an everlasting war and he as the commander of all heavenly forces had seen every last bit of it. He and his forces couldn't die, not like the beings they were fighting, but they could return wounded, unable to fight again for decades, sometimes centuries. There were 333 soldiers at his command. All assigned by God herself on the universes first days. All of them had been fighting ever since.

The forces they were fighting didn't rest, they got bigger and stronger every day, and already outnumbered them for longer than he could think of. The only reason they still had the upper hand was the fact that all their enemies, demons, horrific beings, witches and wizards were mortal. They could be killed and were killed in the hundreds each day. But there were always more.

"Brother, you're back" spoke a familiar voice right after he entered heavens headquarters, ripping him out of his dark thoughts. With a smile he regarded the around his thirties looking blond man with the blue eyes.

Wir sind Brüder dir

"Hello Gabriel, how was your day?" he greeted and took him into a short hug. Gabriel had never minded the blood on Michaels robes and had always welcomed him with an open heart. They were archangels.

The four rulers of heaven while God tended to the souls of the deceased. Ever since the split she hadn't bothered with any of the duties. That's what she had created them for. Once five, now four, they were responsible for everything.

"It was a wonderful day Michael. Lots of new souls returned to heaven. But I heard you had an even better day! You managed to kill Pride after all!" he exclaimed with excitement.

Michael just nodded tiredly "We managed to kill one of the kings, yes. The demon formerly known as Chao Wang was killed and sent back for a new try. Let's hope that he finds his way to heaven this time" he made a short break to think of the soul that had been purified and would be born as a human again.

"But the victory is only short-lived as others will try to gain Lilith's favor and the position as one of the seven kings of hell. This war is everlasting until every last soul has found their way back to God. Only then can paradise be on earth." Michael stated, the grim look back on his face.

Gabriel sighed with an frustrated look "You're right. And even then Lilith will still be there. At least she wont be alone…" he wanted to continue but was stopped by the scowl on Michael´s face.

"You know we shouldn't speak of him. Like Lilith he will never be part of heaven again" with that Michael turned and left the room, deciding that it was time to clean himself up and reach for new energy.

Gabriel was left alone and felt a twinge of sadness at his brothers stubbornness. After what had happened so shortly after the beginning of time Michael refused to so much as acknowledge Lucifer.

Lucifer was their brother but had made decisions different from what God had expected of them. In the end he had left heaven of his own free will and had become the first and only fallen angel. Ruler of hell next to Lilith herself.

Before though they all had been close and Gabriel knew that especially Michael and Lucifer had shared a special bond, but that laid in the past. Michael vehemently denied any aspect of Lucifer and only God knew why he reacted in such a strong way to Lucifer's fall. With a sigh Gabriel left his brother alone to brood and went after his own business.

Feliciano sighed. He hated the time between classes, or before classes, or after classes. Why? Because that's when they got to Lily. Little beasts; like insects the students would stab at her with small words at first, circle, group together and then they always went in for the kill, making her cry at the best days and wanting to kill herself at the worst.

This Feliciano was a cheerful angel, his lips mostly smiling and his heart full of love and care. Lily didn't know of him, but she was everything in his life. His duty was to make sure she at some point in her late 80's, maybe 90's died happily in her sleep. It wasn't just a duty though. It was what he lived for. He wanted to see her happy and cheerful just as he was. Which was why it bothered him so greatly when she got hurt so badly.

But there was nothing he could do.

We're all living in Amerika,

Amerika ist wunderbar

He knew that when she had been nine her brother had died in a car accident and that soon after her family had moved to America from Switzerland. He had been there when they had packed everything and left. Feliciano had always watched and had done his best to keep her as happy as possible. He knew that she blamed herself for the accident, but since he hadn't been there yet he really didn't know. He knew though that her brother probably wouldn't have wanted her to blame it on herself or hurt too much over it. He was sure her brother would have wanted her to have a happy life, so he tried to help with that.

By now Lily was sixteen, a young woman, caring, polite, and a real blessing to humankind. Despite her being lovable she didn't have any friends though. She was alone in this world, too shy to interact with others of her kind and bullied for it.

The kids hadn't liked her from day one and it pained Feliciano to see her being treated badly, however he couldn't help no matter how bad he wanted to. He had to watch all of it. He hovered above her in the air, trying to calm her tears and take her pain... but otherwise powerless.

His powers, like any guardian's angel, were very limited when it came to interacting with the human world. He wasn't visible and his power was small. He could summon up a bit of wind on a hot day, make the rain just a bit warmer on her skin or straighten her hair just the way she wanted it. After all morning hair was a terrible illness. But beside those small things and his gentle arms wrapped around her at night, keeping nightmares at bay, he was powerless.

Only in grave danger would heavens power help him to help her. He would summon the elements and manipulate minds. But oh? What was that worth in the daily face of misery?

Class had just ended and Lily was quickly packing her things into her schoolbag. She knew that it would start as soon as the teacher left the classroom. She felt helpless and small like everyday and just a glance at the smirk on Damiens face gave her the chills. He was the head of her bullies and while not very smart he was strong and scary looking. With his 1,90 meters he was the tallest of their class and due to his rough upbringing he was known for streetfighting. No one wanted to get on his bad side. So when he had picked her in sixth grade as his prime target for being "tiny" as he had called her, nobody disagreed with him. The two friends that she had had back then, had left her and avoided her like the plague since then, afraid to catch the bully's attention and become targets too.

Strangely it had never really bothered her to be alone. She actually never truly felt alone. Lily couldn't describe why that was, but her secret theory was that her brother was watching over her. She could swear that when she was little she could even sometimes feel hands holding her at night.

Of course when she had told her parents they hadn't believed her and had actually sent her to a psychiatrist for a while to deal with her brother's death. So she had stopped talking about it. But it didn't change the fact that she wasn't alone.

While the thought comforted her in her worst moments it didn't help with the bullies. She felt small and insignificant compared to them, like a bunny caught in a trap.

Lily had finally finished packing her bag when a hand slammed down on her desk with a bang. "Hey Lily, what's up?" sneered Damien who stood in front of her.

Recht wortlos

Lily panicked and quickly glanced around, trying to get out of her chair, but she was pushed back down by one of Damien's friends standing to her left. They locked eyes and the boy just grinned "Damien asked you a question, Lily. Why don't you answer it?"

"I-I'm on my way home. Please let me go, I have to do my homework!" Lily desperately tried, feeling surrounded.

"But Lily, don't you want to hang out with your friends?" Damien spoke with a grin. "I know you don't have any others." "Yeah, Lily, you're all alone!" another guy spoke up. "You only have us, don't you, Lily?" a third started.

Ich will, Ich will eure Stimmen hören

Lily just nodded her head in defeat. They were right after all. Nobody else would even talk to her… "I know… but... but please let me go today. I really need to go home." She tried again. Today she needed to be on time, her parents were finally coming back from another of their business trips.

Nothing had really changed since Vash's death. If anything it had only gotten worse. It felt like her parents were never home anymore. They were also constantly fighting when they were around and it mostly felt like Lily was living all on her own in their big house. There was the house keeper who'd come by twice a week to clean and get groceries, but otherwise she was on her own.

"Lily, Lily. You should really know better by now, shouldn't you?" Damien just smiled, before spitting in her face. "You're worthless and there's nothing that's gonna change that. Silly bitch." The other boys just laughed as the first tears collected in Lily's eyes. She was used to it, but it nevertheless hurt.

"Why don't you just die, Lily? I think you'd spare us all so much." Damien said with a sweet smile, the sarcasm making the words hurt so much more. "Not even your parents like you, Lily. They're never home after all" the boy continued as he starred down at his target. It just felt so good to make her cry. She was almost cute like that.

Feliciano scrowled and wrapped his arms around Lily, trying to shield her from the mean words. It hurt so much to see his charge, his Lily, like this. "Please Lily be strong, I know you can be. Don't listen to their words" he whispered, not that anyone could hear him anyway… if anyone it was he who was useless, not even able to do anything for Lily.

Lily shuddered and tried to wipe her tears away, she always cried silently, but no matter how much she tried she couldn't stop the tears. By now the classroom was empty and they were the only ones in here. "please let me go" she quietly tried again. "my parents are coming home today. I really need to go home"

"They are?" Damien asked, he had almost missed the girls words due to her quietness, he was genuinely surprised and looked at his best friend with a raised eyebrow. Damien knew that Lily's parents were almost never home due to the fact that he lived next to her. With a sigh he stood straight and removed his hand from Lily's desk. "I guess we can make an exception today then." He said with a shrug and turned around. "Come on guys, leaver her alone" he said without looking back. The others had just starred at him with a surprised look at first, but quickly scrambled to follow him at his words.

Lily was just as surprised as the other boys though. This was the first time Damien had let her go so quickly. "thank you!" she quickly said, unsure if they or rather Damien had heard.

She knew him since they were in fifth grade when her family had come to the States. At first it had been so hard. She hadn't spoken the language well, nor any friends to practice with. The boy next door had seemed nice at the beginning though. At some point it had even seemed like they might befriend each other, but somehow it had changed and Lily had no idea why.

To some degree she still blamed herself, wondering what she had done to deserve this treatment….

For now she got up though, not wanting to test her luck and hang around. She quickly hurried out of the classroom and towards the exit. Only when Lily was out on the street, a block away from school was she finally able to relax.

Feliciano followed Lily wherever she went. He watched her and sometimes gave report to heaven when it was convenient or his boss yelled at him for not turning anything in regularly. His life was pretty boring since he couldn't really talk to anyone, but he was filled with love for the world, for humans and especially for Lily. She was his everything. His charge, his human, his world.

Feliciano just like Lily looked forward to this afternoon. Her parents made her happy, so they made him happy too. But once they arrived at home the light that had shone in Lily's eyes at the promise of her parents went away. While their cars were both sitting up front, neither her Mom, nor her Dad were around. A small note greeted Lily telling her that her parents had went out for the afternoon and dinner, happy to see each other again after being away on separate trips.

With a small sob Lily crushed down on one of the kitchen chairs. Finally fully crying. It was all just so unfair. Didn't they miss her too? Couldn't they have waited for her to come home? Eat together as a family? She couldn't even remember the last time that had happened…

'Get up, Lily! You´re stronger than that' she told herself after a while though. She was sure her parents had their reasons for dismissing her. Surely they had important work related things to talk about and thought they would just bore her if they brought her along. She was sure they just wanted to spare her the boredom. That must be it.

Quickly Lily made herself some lunch, being very efficient around the kitchen, and then went up to her room to eat and study. She wanted to make her parents proud with the constant good grades she brought home.

Feliciano watched Lily with a sad smile. He knew how much the girl was hurting despite her attempts to lie to herself. He laid down on her bed while she was eating and then watched over her shoulder while she was doing her homework. He didn't really understand what she was studying, but he somehow always knew which pages would help her understand a problem if she was stuck. So when she was stuck he always used a bit of wind to change the pages to the right ones for her to read up on the problem once more.

She would just smile at the magically changing pages and silently thank her brother in her head. Lily knew she wasn't alone.

Later when it was almost getting dark Lilies parents finally returned. They greeted her with short hugs and they said that it was already late and that she should probably sleep… Lily never one to disobey just nodded with a small smile and said her good nights. Hiding her broken heart at being dismissed yet again.

She went to bed as told and silently cried herself to sleep. Feliciano wrapped himself around the girl and kept her warm in his arms. Trying to take not only the cold but also the pain from her.

Wirf ein warmes Licht

Feliciano couldn't sleep. He was an angel and always watching. So when she was fully asleep he got back up and started singing a silent song. It was a melody out of this world and no human being would be able to describe the mesmerizing way it rang in the air.

As soon as it ended though another being appeared in the room. Hovering in the air just before Feliciano's form. The male was tall, maybe 1,88 meters, with blonde, almost white hair and bright blue eyes. The hair was combed back in a strict way and the eyes, while gentle had a stern look to them.

"Ludwig!" Feliciano smiled and wrapped his arms around the other male in a hug, pressing him tight. Said Ludwig stiffened up at the contact, his muscled body tensing before sighing and barking "Let go of your superior Feliciano! I've told you about a million times that you shouldn't hug me!"

Feli just giggled, but heeded the words and let go. "I thought you'd want my report Ludwig? Didn't you tell me to call you more regularly?" Feli smiled, happy to see Ludwig. The day hadn't been all that good and talking to Ludwig, no matter how sour the other angel sometimes was, always brightened his day.

"Ja, Ja. You're supposed to report. You're right." Ludwig sighed, always taken over by the happy guardian angel.

Ludwig was one of the higher angels, in charge of 42 guardian angels and their charges. He was to look after them and help if anything arouse. He was aware of the dim situation Lily was in though and worried. Even he wasn't really allowed to help, which is why he had asked Feliciano to report to him more often than once a month.

He listened to the small angel talk on and on about Lily's problems, her parents, that stupid Damien and her strong will to live. Feliciano while sometimes a bit touchy and overemotional, was very dedicated to his work. All angels were.

God's pure love touched all of them and allowed them their happiness in spite of the worlds despair. Angels were pure and light. Nothing dark could touch them. Even lost souls were harmless. "Feliciano!" Ludwig interrupted his own thoughts. "Before I forget about it!"

Feliciano looked up with a curious look. "The Garrisons last battle was very victorious. One of the seven kings of hell was slain. But be careful! All heavenly groups are to be extra careful for the time being as now the lower demons will try to gain power and Lilith's favor. There's no more dangerous thing than a demon trying to be king!"

"King."

A snicker in the dark. Alfred couldn't help but laugh. "Come on, don't be ridiculous." He was a medium sized man, 1,78cm, with wheat blonde hair that had a redish touch from the reflection of the flames surrounding them. A grin spread across his beautiful face as he sat cross-legged in the air across from another, much taller and standing man.

Alfred was around 150, not very old, but quiet powerful for his age. He was a Succubus, a sex demon, and not any one, but one of the knights of the king. Hell was divided in seven kingdoms. And each king had three knights, their most loyal and powerful subjects.

Alfred as a succubus was subject to Francis, the king of Lust. But the demon he was currently talking to was subject to Greed. He was a knight too and just overly excited for the recently opened up position. "Don't you think I'd make a wonderful king?" the gray haired man was asking with an eery smile on his face. He was sweet looking. Too sweet looking.

To be here in hell meant that there was nothing sweet left in him… So Alfred had to giggle again "You? King? My ass, I bet Francis would like you even less" he sneered with a smile, highly amused by the proposition.

"You know he's only jealous that you're fucking me, Fredka" the other demon smiled and used Alfred´s pet name, before pulling the succubus into his arms.

Alfred just purred and rubbed his head against the demons strong throat, before leaning back to bare his own in surrender. He loved when he was taken care of.

Alfred´s companion, a very prideful demon, took the chance and bit lustful into the blond's neck, drawing blood with a purr.

"You're such a tease, Fredka" he giggled and bared his teeth, showing of the blood. "There's no reason to be mean, I already have a plan. And there won't be any real competition anyway."

"Oh?" Alfred actually looked up at that "Don't you think Allistor will try to gain the crown?"

"Him? He's barely able to stand from the wounds Michael inflicted on him. He was certainly trying hard to protect his Pride." Alfred just rolled his eyes while the other demon laughed at his own joke.

"No. It's finally the time that my hard work bears its fruit. I've been here for over 400 years and while your cute mind was twisted and wrapped, I managed to get here all on my own." The tall demon smiled.

"Just means you were fucked up from the beginning" Alfred snickered, but was silenced with a quick glare "You know how rare it is for a wizard to become not only a full fledged demon, but a knight. I worked hard to be here.

And now I will stand as a king, at Lilith's side."

Ich stell mich in die erste Reihe

"Come on, maann there´s no way. I mean, yeah, you´re like strong, but so am I, and I wouldn´t try to get Yao´s crown. You´re missing waaay too much power!" the blonde demon argued. He loved to be held by his companion, but he was sure, that the other wouldn´t manage to gain enough energy.

"Well, little Fredka, that´s because you don´t know of a little boy, with a dead mother, a drunken father and a brother who´d do everything for him." The demon, former wizard paused, "A little boy who lived 400 years ago and is now a guardian angel!" he finished with a smile that sent chills down the backs of everyone who was close enough to feel the malice that emanated from him.

Alfred looked at him with a raised eyebrow, shivering and also surprised that the gray-haired man seemed to have a plan. A plan that evolved an angel nonetheless. He was sure Francis would be highly interested in this~

The archangels will appear as non Hetalia characters. Some other minor characters will also be original, like Damien, but they won't really be important.

Allistor is Scotland btw, but who's our ambitious demon?~

Thanks for reading and till next time.

Comments are my blood.
