Chapter 419
When Buffy returned to school on Monday April 15th she asked Willow how many days until graduation. Willow said 52 days. It was becoming less neccessary for Buffy to ask. She was having a better idea as the number of days became shorter. Willow and Xander caught Buffy up on some of the developments since spring break. All five groups had retrieved their pieces of the Chalice. Gwen Raiden, a burgler with electric abilities was now their ally. Apparently, so was Adam. Whatever Adam's longterm plans he didn't want the world to end anymore than they did. Xander compared Adam to the T-Rex at the end of "Jurassic park" saving humans by eating the raptors. Xander admitted the analogy wasn't perfect, except that he'd seen "Jurassic park" again during vacation. Willow also confied something personal to Buffy. That she and Tara had broken up. Willow didn't want to hurt Tara, bu she couldn't deny her feelings for someone else. At first Buffy thought Willow meant her, and was trying to figure out a way to gently let her friend down. Then Willow admitted she had feelings for Xander. Willow said she wasn't being trendy or loose. She had real feelings for Tara, and Xander. Maybe things wouldn't work out with Xander. But for now, she had to follow her heart.
