Freelancers ch. 13: Pasts reveal hidden gems

As he felt the woman he had fallen madly in love with right next to him, Chris rolled over and saw Ritsu smiling before he quickly stole a kiss. Quickly getting dressed, he didn't realize how far his life would change, and thus he put his weapons in the bag before Ritsu saw a look in his eyes and remarked
"you seem like something is bothering you" and Chris just quickly made up a lie stating
"N-no I am fine and I am just worried because we have a school trip today" and Ritsu just gave him a look before not pressing the issue and getting dressed, making a mental note to tell Irina-sensei that he was acting differently than usual. Quickly seeing him getting ready, Ritsu was in aww as he looked into a nook he had set up in their home and as Chris hopped onto the bike feeling Ritsu reaching behind him, he sang quietly
"they say mother earth is breathing with each wave that finds the shore, her soul rises in the evening for to open twilights door" and Ritsu sang, her breath gently rolling on his neck as they pulled up to the school,
"We know not why we are fighting or what we are dying for. Death is waiting for his dance now, fate has sentenced us to die" and both walked in to class holding hands, locking eyes with Korosensei,
"Just a look to say goodbye. I draw a breath the night is broken as I scream our battle cry. I am reaching out won't you take my hand, I'm coming home Ireland" and the class saw Chris walk forward and swing around two handguns, firing at Sensei before, having tracked sensei's movements, Chris threw his rubber knife scoring a hit on his tentacle. As he watched it, Chris instantly shifted to his regular knife as he sat down. As he dropped into his chair and started falling asleep, he started to play a game that caused Korosensei to go blue with shock as Chris drove his combat knife into the table between his fingers, before smiling and looking at Vitch-sensei and started using the knife to shave his face. Seeing the whole class going quiet as he played the game, Chris looked at Ritsu and Richard before remarking, his voice as cold as ice
"This building is a cleaner version of hell" getting everyone looking at him before Richard remarked, glancing at his brother
"You are just bat shit and I think I straight jacket would work for you" and they all saw the look in Chris' eyes that they all said reminded the class of Karma, even the hair color tipping the scales and the others all saw Richard, laying on a plush pillow, with his sea-foam hair making everyone remark that him and Nagisa could be related. Hearing the mutterings of the class that Karma and Nagisa had brothers sitting in class, Korosensei called to the class
"We are doing reviews for the midterms and class we are also getting a new student" and as everyone started trying to decide what the girls name was, a knock on the door put everyone on edge. As Sensei opened the door they found a girl who looked no older than 16, and Chris obviously knew her sending ritsu into search mode for any scraps of information on the new girl, as he called out
"Eva, Eva Patronova come in come in I will kill you if you don't" and the rail thin girl with the tattoos of spetsnaz on her arm, and she hugged Chris before smiling saying in Russian, "why hello cousin it has been a while hasn't it" and the two shared an embrace before Eva smiled passing over a jacket and patch, remarking
"Grandma Hetty and papa Grisha send their regards" and Korosensei saw him smiling before asking, wanting to get answers just like everyone else
"Who is she and who is Grisha?" before Richard looked at her and said, smiling
"Eva is my cousin on my dad's side and is Chris' sister. Her aunt is Vitch sensei and I am also related to Nagisa through my mom's side" and Chris said chuckling,
"Karma and I are half-brothers and I guess you could say our brothers got the brains of the family" and Eva dropped down looking at Triela before remarking
"I was a Russian operator, former GRU and Spetsnaz, trained from birth and who would have thought a 16-year-old was a killer and this is how I earn my freedom" with her eyes starting to glass over with tears. As she felt a pair of arms wrap around her, a plush toy was tucked under her head as two voices sang a Russian lullaby. As she fell asleep feeling safe, Korosensei started to pass out the grades before looking at the students saying
"I need to see your fighting styles against each other and me" and as they started to pair off, Chris drew Okuda and Richard hollered out
"Boy you hurt my girlfriend, Ritsu will become scrap metal" getting both blushing as Richard just revealed the fact they had been dating all year. Nodding, Chris saw her throw a tear gas bomb at him, only for him to grab a mask, and launching into a move. As he moved they all saw Richard getting involved and Chris twisted his brother into a painful standing arm bar saying
"It's practically a rhapsody, who would've known beneath classy jacket Id be packing heat" and shoved him out of the way pulling out his revolver and squeezing off two shots taking her out, leaving him with blood shot eyes from the gas before turning the gun on Karma. Giving him a nod, Chris shot three times, each round hitting his intended target in the chest, before feeling getting grabbed by the class only for him to twist free, wrenching on joints and using his boot to ease the pain, until Richard grabbed him saying
"You really oughta watch your back you got a stalker" and as Chris spun he pulled a revolver before thumbing the hammer remarking coldly
"Six shot revolver lets see who can draw first, but if you draw last your gonna drop fast" and Chris pulled the trigger dropping onto his back as Richard sent a knife sailing through the air. Quickly avoiding the blade, both boys started to fight before Nagisa ran at Sensei with another grenade before Chris ran with a claymore BB strapped to him like a suicide vest before shoving Nagisa down and hoping to hit Sensei before Nagisa did and Ritsu saw, her sight full of worry, Richard setting off the vest, knocking Sensei's arm off. As everyone went quiet, Sensei muttered, marking down the attack,
"He is a martyr if he needs to but I wonder what else he can do" and Richard wandered over and laughed before saying
"he can fuck up your shit from any distance" and naturally Chris had to prove it, lashing out and grabbing Richard's left arm and starting to twist. As Richard moved, they all saw Chris starting to become unhinged and he yelled out, startling everyone except for Eva and Ritsu, who started to talk him down,
"My name is Victor Resnov and I will have my revenge!" and they all saw the knife was digging into Richards throat. Quickly being disarmed by Korosensei, they all heard the door open and a familiar voice chimed in,
"Well there is a pupil in need of more discipline" and naturally, Chris spat back, shifting the knife off Richards throat,
"Really Akira, you tried to kill nagisa and the others and then think you can calmly waltz your fat ass in here and all will be forgiven? Holy fuck you are stupid as shit and crazier than me and that is saying something" before tripping Richard, guiding him to his girlfriend as Triela and Karma followed his lead, throwing their blades, before henrietta grabbed his arm, eyes flashing a sadistic smile. Seeing that, Chris launched his attack, restraining himself from hitting etta and lashing out at Akira, who panted out as Chris was speaking fluent Russian,
"Your pretty good for a greenskin, it'll be a shame you have to die here" as he pulled a pistol. Seeing that, Chris grabbed the pistol and forced it to his forehead growling
"Come on, you can't be all blubber and no balls. Well I have been wrong before," and Akira snapped out, his voice stammering at what he was witnessing, "It is all your fault, had you freaks just killed him I wouldn't have to come back and Nagisa would be dead!" getting Chris remarking, chuckling as he could sense Eva moving,
"If that's what you believe then shoot me!" and as Akira started to pull the trigger, Eva smiled, her sea foam green eyes twinkling callously, before remarking, thumbing back the hammer of her Taurus model 66, feeling like dirty harry
"Now you do know that I will kill you, it will be painful and I will enjoy every single bloody minute of it, or you can drop the gun and maybe live to see tomorrow" and one of his accomplices ran up only to have his knee vaporized in a flash of light as a .357 hollow point tore his leg apart. As the man screamed, Chris twisted the gun free and smashed Akira in the face before wrapping a rope around his neck and tied him to the wall waiting for the police and as the wounded screamed, Korosensei went one with the lecture, only stopping when Eva cut off Akira's ear to use it for a necklace. Seeing his sister starting to take care of the project, Chris just laughed before remarking
"Damn that is some real van Gogh type shit" before kissing Ritsu wondering if his bloodlust would ever be satiated.
