Xander and Willow grieved for Dawn, as they had grieved for Jessie. Xander couldn't judge Buffy, after all he'd let Jessie go. They hoped that Buffy was right, that Dawn could control her instincts. But they had their doubts. Ever since Buffy came to town a lot of people had died. Xander and Willow knew this wasn't Buffy's fault. Buffy fought against death on a nightly basis. This was the Helmouth, these things had happenned before Buffy came, they just hadn't noticed. Xander and Willow knew each other from before this madness, they needed each other. With so much grief surrounding them they needed this friendship, this love. And on this night Xander and Willow took comfort in each other's arms. Xander and Willow lost their virginity together.
