After Ben realized that the Quellar demon had come to Sunnydale he called Doc.

Ben: Did you summon the Quellar demon?
Doc: Yes. When you said people were losing their minds I wanted to end their suffering.
Ben: How could Glory be back? You said she was banished into the void.
Doc: I researched the excorcism. It was reputed to have been used by Jesus Christ himself. Christ was confronted by a man possessed by demons. This demon called himself "Legion" for he was many. Legion begged Christ not to kill him. Instead of killing these demons Christ banished them into a herd of swine.
Ben: So Jesus was such a nice guy he couldn't even kill demons. What's your point?
Doc: The excorcism didn't destroy Glory. Instead, she possessed someone or something else. I'm sorry Benjamin, I should've known this before I performed the excorcism on you.
Ben: Yeah. Is there a way to destroy her?
Doc: I don't know. You were her Achilles heal, now you're both free of each other. I'll do more research on her, but I don't know if Glorificus can be destroyed. And what she might be planning, God help us all.
