Forrest understood that Adam was a neccessary ally. And he knew that the group, the Circle of the Black Thorne, had resources to help stop the Master and the Order of Aurelius. So Forrest followed Colonel Mcnamara's orders. As Adam wanted to infiltrate the circle Forrest went along with him. He claimed to be Adam's lieutenant. This made sense, Adam got into this circle by claiming he had followers, resources, was valuable. Forrest had been briefed about what to say, but he never got the chance. As soon as he introduced himself as Adam's lieutenant Adam drove a wooden spear through Forrest's heart. As Forrest lay dying none of the Circle seemed suprised. He didn't know that to join the Circle required devotion, murdering someone loyal to you. Adam had embraced the Circle by betraying anmurering Forrest.
