Chapter 12: John, Joss and Lauren have a little talk.
John was a little pissed at Lauren, but he didn't really show it. He was pissed at the fact that she left her hockey practices with out Joey, Pissed because she broke in to Zoe apartment. So what he was a little harsh towards her, her as in Zoe. Lauren was HIS daughter. And he was going to make sure everyone who comes across Lauren to protect her or else. Lauren knew she was trouble but it was soo worth it. When they got home Taylor was still at the park playing Basketball. Joss waited for them to come home.
"Let me guess our Lauren decided to break into Zoe's apartment, just to tell her off." Joss asked getting a nod from the teen.
"Yes, we're going to have a little talk. Right Lauren?" John said as his teenage daughter just shrugged her shoulders.
"Hey gotta let her know you ARE OFF LIMITS! Besides the look on her face was priceless. So how long am I grounded for marking MY territory?" Lauren said to a simi shocked Joss not so shocked John.
"Your still grounded for a week and Joey will be going with you everywhere just to make sure you come home from hockey practices. I want the hockey coach to make you do Herby's after practices." John said to highly pissed off Lauren she hatted doing Herby's now her daddy is making her do them as punishment. Oh well as Herb Brooks once said "Legs feed the wolf gentlemen."
"Fine anything else?" Lauren said and she watch John and Joss share a look. She knew what that looked meant. Nope not gonna happen they can't take her Ipod away.
"We're keeping your Ipod for a few days. Starting now. Hand it over." Joss said Knowing she was going to get it from her instead of letting John take it. Lauren would have put up fight for her Ipod if John tried.
"No fair. I need my music." Lauren said knowing she had a back up one.
"Also we want the one you have hidden in your room." Joss said nothing was going to get by this mother of one teen. She knew all the tricks.
"How did you know she had two?" John asked he knew but was wondering how Joss knew.
"I've been at this for to long to know when a teen has two of one item. Right Lauren? Let me guess Finch gave you the newest version but in black instead of the white one you had when we first met." Joss said getting another nod from the teen. The black one had 36 gb on it while the white one only had 16 gigs.
"Yeah he did, I'll go get it." Lauren said with her shoulder slumped but she was happy that the Zoe women knows her father was off-limits so what her music was going to be taken she can draw to let off some steam.
"When you come back we'll be talking about your Language Younglady." Joss said in the tone that all mothers uses. She may have John and Finch already wrapped around her teenage fingers hell she even has Joss sorta wrapped around them but she knows she was wrong. She wants John and Joss to last. They never did talk to her about her Language.
Lauren came back in ten min with the Ipod in hand. She was pissed but understood that she can't go breaking in to someones house regardless how much she may hate the person.
"Here you go Joss. Sucks too but I learned my lesson no breaking an entry. No running off i feel like I'm in prison. Why cause of the Russians? So not fair." Lauren said to Joss. John agreed Lauren shouldnt have to go through all of this as a teen not now not ever. He's going to put a stop to Peter one way or another.
"We still have to ground you for the Zoe incident but we forgive you. I understand why you did what you did. Marking your territory. She knows that John isn't free anymore." Joss said hugging the teen.
"Lauren you have homework?" John asked the teen nodded not wanting to upset her dad anymore.
"Yeah ap everything. I started some of it at school." Lauren said John knew she wasnt lying Lauren is a straight A student.
"Go finish it if you need help as me or Joss." John said as he watched his teenage daughter go finish her homework.
Lauren went upstairs and did as she was told to do. She understood her place but still it was fun breaking into Zoe's apartment just to tell her off. So worth it. She hopes that Joss and John would get married. Joss would be a cool stepmother. John is her father and her favorite person right now. She wants the Russians to know he's off-limits but putting her self in harm's way will hurt everyone. So she decided to keep to herself.
Authors note: Another short one... this one had to be done for whats coming up... The whole point of Lauren talking to Zoe and John dressing Zoe down a notch was part of something major that's going to happen... The whole talk about Lauren swearing and calling Shaw and Zoe bitches well its Lauren we're talking about she s a Pint Size version of Reese.. Possessive is one word to describe her.
