First day at School
Authors Notes: Okay so its been a minute since I've updated. A lot has happened I have been dealing with my mothers death for a month or so back in May. Then I was rushed to the er for clustered headaches. Turns out that the headaches I've been having for over a year was caused by a Sub-Ependymoma a tumor that was removed on the 6th of May 2014, the day of surgery I also found out I was 2 ½ weeks pregnant. I'm now 5 months pregnant and absolutely happy that they found the tumor when they did and that my baby is fine. I've been wanting to update but also couldn't; no computer and no true time until now. I will be due on January 10th 2015 or around that date. So on with the story.
"Why don't we eat and talk about it later. Lauren you still need to sleep and drink plenty of water." Joss spoke up John had left to get Laurens Orange Chicken meal with Dumplings knowing that
its his daughter favorite meal.
They all ate in Laurens room made small talk. Joey and Lauren were talking to each other through there eye's hoping to pour their love into each other. Joss and John saw this and knew they made the right choice in letting Joey protect Lauren still. He still needs to recover from the gun shoot womb. John notice the teen getting sleeping again. And motion Joss to leave the room with him. They watch Joey kiss her cheek as she laid back down and he tucked her in. She fell a sleep looking at him knowing she was safe.
Present day: September 4th 2014
Its been three months since Lauren was taken and nothing has happened. Though Team Machine, was still on high alert. Lauren was set to attend the school where Taylor was going to. Finch had manage to get Lauren on a scholarship at Marbury High School, just like Taylor. The only difference she was on a Hockey Scholarship. Lauren was dress in her Ralph Lauren's Khaki colored pants matching the rest of the student population.
She was wearing the traditional Ralph Lauren's blue polo shirt that had the schools logo on it. She opted for the skirt for the first day back to a school she didn't know. She wanted to get a feel for the students there. Hockey was after fifth period. So she had her gear with her. Joey parked the car and watched Joss and John escort the teens up to the door. John was caring Lauren's new hockey gear bag that had the School's logo with her name and number on it.
"Will you stop it? You're embarrassing me on my first day daddy." Lauren said in her winny fourteen year old voice. Taylor couldn't help to laugh. John was way worse then his mum was on the first day of high school. John the Team went over evacuation plans just in case someone tried to take her from inside the school.
"John sweetheart, she'll be fine. Besides Joey wont be far and Taylor will be in almost every class with her." Joss said as she remembered Lauren testing out of the freshmen regular classes. John shoot her the she wont be fine look until she's home.
"Taylor, protect her." John said in his fatherly voice. Taylor nodded his head and went into the school.
"I don't need 24/7 protection." Lauren said as she rushed into the school disappearing in the crowed of kids. Some of them were the hockey team that she was going to be on. They all greeted her with such awe. Their teams have played before in the national high school tournament in Saint Paul, MN.
Shortly after fifth period, Lauren and a bunch of the hockey girls met up for the first time at the Marbury newest hockey facility thanks to Finch anonymous donor money. Joey was already there with Taylor who just got done with his first basket ball practices. Lauren was already rushing to get on the ice. Its been almost 7 months since she's skated.
Kristin the captain of the team decided to have them stretch out before the new coach came to greet them. In addition to getting the school an new facility the girls team got Jenny Brooks the granddaughter of Herb Brooks, to be the hockey coach. After stretching the girls decided to do some laps before Jenny and the rest of the coaching staff came out on the ice. They did some drills and went over some major plays that included the pint size fourteen year old Lauren.
After practices Lauren showered and got dressed in her Victoria Secret boyfriend pants and a white tank top and a black zipped up hoodie. True to his word Joey was waiting out side for her along with Taylor. Lauren walked up to the car and Joey grabbed her hockey gear. His hand lingered on hers for a few seconds longer and they locked eyes together wanting to kiss but couldn't not just yet. He rushed the teens home to get started on homework.
