After the pain wore off Drusilla was the first to leave. Spike missed how she could simply dissapear into the darkness like that. Darla and Angel stayed to find out what happenned to Coner. When they saw Conner helping Holtz they left. By sunrise Conner was at Spike's crypt. Spike, Darla, Angel and Conner tried to think of a plan. Dru had claimed that the Master ha the Pergamun Codex. This book of prophecies was reputed to have the most accurate predictions of the slayer's role in the final days. If this was true the Master would most likely follow these prophecies like a blue print. Thus the Codex could be the key to stopping his plans. Clearly they had to get this book from the Master, learn how to defeat him. This posed certain problems. How to find the Master, worse was how to get the Codex away from him and return alive. He would no doubt have it heavily guarded, kill anyone who tried to steal it. Thus this foursome tried to come up with a plan.
