Chapter 484
Much of Wolfram and Hart were at their stations on the night of Saturday, May 11th. The stories claimed that the Beast would bring a new world order. Holland wanted to help with that, and reap in the benefits when it was successful. The Circle of the Blach Thorn was here. Holland, Dracula, Adam, Virginia Bryce. President Wilkins wasn't here, he'd sent vice-president Lliah Morgan as his personal representative. Lilah wanted to be on the Circle, but with her position they feared her having too much power. Holland brought Gavin Park and Lee Mercer, two up and coming attorneys, along with Hamilton and Hauser. He wanted to show the Circle his influence, having his employees treated as equals to the Circle. When the Beast arrived Holland introduced him to the circle. They seemed a bit frightened. Holland enjoyed having this much power. He delivered his lecture, that the Beast was his ally, but they need not be Holland's enemies. But as he was speaking the Beast grabbed Holland's neck. Before Holland understood what was going on the Beast snapped his neck. Then he began with the others. For all of Hamilton't strength he was easily killed by the Beast. The others tried to flee, but the dark priests used magick to keep them trapped. Dracula knew that with his strength he could escape. He still viewed Adam as a valuable ally, together they were able to flee. The guards tried to kill the Beast, but they were killed. Although the Beast spared Hauser. He killed Lilah, Gavin, Lee. Virginia grabbed a dead guard's gun and tried to shoot the Beast, but she was soon killed. The Beast then turned his attention to Hauser, the last man standing.

Hauser: I don't understand.
Beast: These fools thought they could control evil, use it for power. These mortal instruments, their time is over. The days of compromise are over. The end is close, all that remains is to choose a side.
Hauser: You're talking about total destruction of all life.
Beast: Yes. I know that you are a true believer in evil. Your life will soon end, but I will give you the chance to be a part of this evil.
Hauser: All my life I've dreamed of this, I'm honored. I'll do whatever you require of me.
