Chapter 500
Caleb walked around Sunnydale on Saturday evening. This town reaked of guilt and bad consciences. Caleb knew how they sinned and fornicated last night. In the end they were just as weak and sinful as Ms Holt, his guardian when he was a child in the foster system, had taught him they were. Soon the cleansing fire would wipe away these sinners. Then would come the pure church, free from sinners. God rewarded Caleb, came to him in visions, showed him the way. And God seemed to transcend all of this preacher's expectations. Surely it was his will that Ms Holt, the only woman Caleb admired, was still alive to see judgement day. Caleb presented them with the temptation, the water, and they all revealed their true selfs. But right now, the Lord required a task of Caleb. Debbie killed most of those heathens, but some survived. One of them had to be eliminated. Caleb didn't know exactly why God wanted Rupert Giles dead, but he wasn't about to argue. Caleb went into this watcher's apartment. Giles tried to defend himself, but Caleb had his rightous strength. Caleb snapped Rupert Giles' neck and simply left his dead body in the apartment.
