Jenny returned to the apartment around sunset Saturday. Things weren't great in her marriage, given her and Rupert's mutual drug-induced adultery. But she wondered if time apart was best. Perhaps it would be better to stay and fight. Then she walked in, she saw the mess. Even as a bachelor Rupert was neater than this. Jenny became worried and called for her husband. Then she saw Rupert's body. She ran over to him, tried to revive her husband. But it was too late, his neck was snapped. A part of Jenny wanted to put a gun in her mouth. But she knew why Rupert had been murdered, if not who exactly. The First evil murdered Giles because he'd been on to something. Jenny would not let Rupert's death be in vain. She found Gachnar in his cage, he'd seen everything. It was the fanatical preacher Caleb who'd murdered Giles. What Giles learned precisely, Gachnar didn't know. Only that the location of the final Chalice piece greatly frightened him. Caleb most likely took his research. Gachnar could sense that his spirit had already moved on to the next dimension. They'd have to contact him personally. Gachnar knew of a way, but warned they might not survive.
