Chapter 515

Willy the snitch had been suprisingly helpful since the Summers women fled Sunnydale. Buffy had called Willy, he'd told her where she could find people selling blood. They were running low, and Buffy didn't want Dawn getting too hungry in the middle of the night. Buffy found one such capitalist, who worked out of his home. This was smart, vampires couldn't enter. Buffy knocked on his door one night, he talked to her from inside. Buffy wanted to buy some blood, but he was charging twice what Willy said the price was. Apparently he'd been doing well since the sun began dissapearing, felt he could raise his price. Buffy didn't have enough to pay, and he wouldn't budge. Buffy considered the possibilities, Dawn dying, Dawn attacking Buffy or their mother in hunger. Buffy decided to go with option C. She entered the home and pulled her gun on this man. Buffy threatened to kill him if he didn't give over some chilled animal blood. This man gave in, not willing to die for money. He offerred human blood, Buffy said no. She knew she wasn't much of a slayer, but still didn't want Dawn drinking human blood. Protecting Dawn was requiring more and more bad choices like this. But she was a big sister long before she was a vampire slayer. This was who she was.
