Chapter 516

Boone thought Sunnydale was the place to be for vampires. No sunlight, no slayer anymore, plenty of folks to eat. But all the humans were fleeing, food was becoming more scarce. Those humans who stayed were often old and/or sick. And there were no more humans to clean up their dead bodies, Sunnydale was developing a stench that offended even un-dead Americans. Brad was part of Boone's gang, he grew up here, but no sun wasn't as great as he might've hoped. Then Absolom found this gang. He claimed to speak for the Master, the supreme vampire that others only talked about with frightened whispers. If Boone's gang wanted to stay, they worked for the Master. To work for the Master, they had to prove themselves. Boone respected the Master's power, he wanted a part of that. He didn't want to just pick off homeless people and live off pig'sblood for eternity. Absolom talked about great darkness, total destruction. Sounded good to Boone. Thus Boone agreed to Absolom's task.
