Cato POV:
"It's time to get ready!" Jacob comes in with another man trailing behind him, I vaguely recognize him.
"Hello everyone, this is Cinna," Jacob introduces the man.
"Wait, weren't you Katniss's and Peeta's stylist?" Clove says suspiciously.
"Yes I was," he says, smiling at both of us.
"Cinna helped me design your interview outfits, so you should thank him," Jacob says.
"Thank you," me and Clove say in unison. Clove still seems suspicious.
"Well if you can follow me, Clove? Cato, go with Cinna," Jacob says while walking away. Cinna walks to the other room, and I quickly walk after him. I need to find out why a stylist for District 12 would even want to work with us.
"Why are you helping us?" I ask as I shut the door.
"Because you're the rebellion," he says calmly.
"The rebellion?" I ask. What the hell is that?
"Yes Cato, District 13 wants Clove and you to be the faces of the rebellion," he explains as if he were explaining a simple task.
"Me and Clove? Why?"
"Because ever since you two defied the capital, the rebels decided that this was the time to strike. Cato, are you okay about going against the Capital?" he asks me. The first thing that pops in my head is no, but then I think about it. The Capital has killed so many innocent children because of revenge, they almost killed the love of my life, and without them our children will grow up happy.
"Yes," I say, "And I'm sure Clove will want to too."
"I told you too much, you can't tell Clove," he says.
"And why is that?"
"Because if our plan goes wrong, and she is captured, she will be safer," he says, "Now be quiet." He puts me in a black tuxedo with a white undershirt and a black tie. While he does this, me head is spinning. There's going to be a rebellion, and me and Clove are going to be part of it.
"Done," he says, stepping back and letting me look in the mirror. I look the same, except my hair has the looks like I just walked out of bed, which I like. I nod my appreciation and I walk outside.
"Where's Clove?" I ask him.
"She's going to come out soon, and Cato, if you tell anyone, that will risk the safety of someone you love," he says. Just then Clove walks in.
"Wow," my mouth drops open and all I can do is stare. My Clover walks over to me in a beautiful wedding dress, and her makeup is dark, which highlights her eyes.
"Close your mouth, it's rude," she says smiling.
"You look beautiful Clover," I whisper in her ear. I kiss her cheek and she smiles.
"Don't mess up the makeup!" Jacob says, pulling me off Clove.
"Okay, so they'll call up the victors from hunger game order. So Mags will go first, then Clove, then Cato last," Lena announces.
"Okay, so Clove, before your interviews about to end I want you to spin, okay?" Cinna asks.
"I'll fall if I spin, this fat ass dress is too big," Clove complained.
"Trust me," he said, she just shut her mouth. I look over Clove's dress, it's white, with a lot of bling. It is the complete opposite of Clove.
"Why do I have to wear this?" she looked at her dress is disgust.
"Because the president basically forced me to put you in that dress, just remember to spin in the end," Cinna says.
"But, that's what Katniss did... will the capital people think that I'm trying to mimic Katniss?" she asked concernedly.
"No no, don't worry. I announced to the whole capital that I was switching over to work with District 2," he explains.
"But why?" I can practically see the gears turning in her head.
"Because I wanted to," he said, shooting me a look.
"I saw that look," she said, looking suspiciously from me to Cinna.
"What look?" I decided to play dumb.
"Cato, you're a terrible liar, whenever you lie you start to crack your knuckles," I look down, I never realized that I did that. "Goodbye." She walked out, I glared at Cinna and ran after her.
"Clove, do you want to know why I lied?" I asked her, she kept walking so I caught her arm and held her there.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because it was to protect you," I said looking deep into her eyes.
"From what Cato?" she looked as if she didn't believe me.
"From the Capital."
"Listen, I know that the Capital hates us, but they won't harm us," Clove says, trying to understand what I'm trying to tell her.
"Clove, there's a rebellion," I say looking at her.
"A rebellion?"
"Yes, it started after we defied the Capital and they want us to be the faces of the rebellion," I explained, I saw that she understood because she relaxed in my hand.
"Fuck Cato, this is fucked up," she says, I can see that she's worried.
"Don't worry, but I kept this from you because if something went wrong the Capital would probably want to punish us, and what better way to punish star crossed lovers than by taking one and killing them, so just in case I didn't tell you," I need her to believe me, I'm telling the truth.
"Okay Cato, we can get through this, but next time, don't lie, tell me right away," she says, kissing my cheek. I smile, we're back.
"Can I announce the baby?" I ask. It would help us.
"Yes," she says, putting her hand on her stomach, she's 5 months but not showing yet.
"Let's go, better not be late," Lena says, ushering us into the elevator to bring us to the interviews.
