The Heartbreak
(Chapter 14)
How can this be happening?! Inuyasha thought angrily to himself as he ran through the forest with blinding speed. I love her and she turned around and betrayed me like this, Inuyasha cried inside his head. "I never want to see either of them again." Inuyasha screamed into the air "Inuyasha please! Stop I just want to talk to you!" Kagome yelled from the back of Kelala. "Go away!" Inuyasha growled, "I know your upset with me right now but please stop this. It's not like you." Kagome tried to reason with him, Inuyasha stopped dead in his tracks and Kelala floated to the ground not too far from him. Kagome hesitantly slide from Kelala's back, Inuyasha watching her every move.
"How could you?" Inuyasha whispered and when Kagome didn't answer he screamed, "HOW COULD YOU?!" Kagome flinched at his words, "I love you Kagome can't you say that? Well apparently you can't because you've already run off and conceived with another." Kagome hung her head and spoke, "I didn't mean for this to happen. You have to believe me Inuyasha, I didn't mean to become pregnant it just happened." Inuyasha saw the tears well up in her eyes and start to spill over but for the first time he didn't feel bad for her. He was being consumed by pain and anguish inside and he didn't have it in his heart to confront the person who had broken his heart in to many ways to count. "Do you see now Kagome?" Inuyasha muttered and Kagome looked up
"Do I see what?" she questioned never taking her eyes off of him as she watched his every movement "Do you see now that I truly do love you? Does my pain and torment finally prove to you that I am completely in love with you?" Kagome's eyes went big as she stared at Inuyasha's hung head. Inuyasha laughed slightly, "Even though you should be the last person I want to be with right now all I can think of is wanting to pull you into my arms and keep you there. But yet you have no thoughts of that running through your mind do you?" Inuyasha lifted his head and met Kagome's eyes straight on "If you knew what was good for you. You would turn around and head back to your mate."
Kagome's eyes widened, "Inuyasha…" she whispered and her hand slightly went toward him. "Don't." Inuyasha spat and that one word let the flood gate of his emotions come spilling out and he turned around and took off. Took off from all the pain and sorrow and took off from the one person that he wanted to hold dearly.
