Thank you for the reviewsss
Clove POV:
I trudge to the interviews in the wedding dress that I was forced to wear. I tripped a few times, but Cato caught me. We stand in a line, waiting our turns for the interviews, just like last time.
"Cato, Clove, come here," Brutus motions us toward him.
"What is it?" I ask, this dress makes me feel really annoyed, the sparkles are too itchy.
"Tonight, the tributes will try to get people to stop the games," he says.
"A little late for that, don't you think?" I say, Enobaria gives me a look.
"Thank you Clove, anyways all the tributes will say how upset they are about going in and stuff, so I suggest that you two do the same," he says looking into both of our eyes.
"Now off you go, be spontaneous," Lena says, clapping her hands like a seal. I roll my eyes and turn to Cato.
"You okay Clove?" he asks me. I decide ignore his question and start to fix his tie even though it looks perfect. "C'mon Clove, answer me please?" He gives me these sad puppy eyes, and I can't not ignore him.
"I wan't ignoring you Cato, I'm just stressed and annoyed about all of this," I say motioning around the room for emphasis.
"I know Clove, but trust me this will all be over soon," he says, rubbing my shoulders, but I can't relax.
"But that's the problem Cato, this will never be over, the nightmares will never cease to exist," I say, turning around to watch the interviews. I feel Cato hug me and I lean into him. First is Mags, I can barley hear what she's saying but she's smiling. I see that after the interviews you go up the stairs and stand on a pedestal. Slowly, tributes go on for interviews. It's Cashmere and Gloss's turns, they're really cheesy calling everyone "their brothers and sisters."
"Do people actually believe this crap?" I whisper to Cato motioning to Gloss's interview. He just points to Lena who's tearing up. I roll my eyes and continue watching. The only person that seems upset is Johanna Mason. She's complaining about how after we win the games we're supposed to live in peace, and to make sure that everyone understands that she's mad she sticks up both middle fingers in the end. Even though it feels like forever standing here, it's my turn. I stand up near the stage ready to be announced.
"What are you wearing?" Johanna asks, looking at me in disgust.
"I didn't want to wear it, the president forced me," I say.
"Well make him pay," she says, a smile going to her lips. I smile back.
"Now, the previous victor of the Hunger Games, Clove Sevina!" Caesar yells. I walk onto the stage, putting the cheesiest smile on my lips. "Hello Clove, how are you?"
"I'm great, yourself?" I say politely.
"I'm fantastic," he says. "Now how are you and Cato doing?" he asks.
"We're doing great, the victors village is a great place," I say.
"It sure is, my Clove, is that a ring?" he asks, holding my hand out in front of him.
"Yes Caesar, me and Cato are engaged," I say smiling and showing everyone my ring.
"Clove you look gorgeous this evening."
"Why thank you Caesar."
"Is this your wedding dress?" he asks me.
"Yes, I was so sad because me and Cato were planning to have our wedding right before the games, but I guess we couldn't," I sigh dramatically.
"Well I'm sorry, we should have a wedding here!" he laughs and I laugh along with him. I look at the timer, I have about 30 seconds, I look at my newfound stylist and he gives me a nod.
"Well would you like to see me spin?" I ask him.
"Yes, we would wouldn't we?" he asks the audience, who cheers. I spin and spin. Black comes up and I'm tearing up but I keep spinning until I stop. I look down and see a new black dress. Cinna is a genius. I raise my arms and it's as if wings were there.
"It's a bird, it's it's..." Caesar starts.
"It's a mockingjay," I say to the microphone. The time goes off and I walk up to my pedestal.
"Now, the last but not least, Cato Ludwig!" Caesar announces. Cato comes out and sits down next to Caesar. He looks nervous, I just hope that this will work.
"Cato, how are you?"
"Caesar, I'm great," he says.
"Well congratulations on the engagement," Caesar says, Cato just nods.
"Yes, well I've wanted to marry her for a long time," he says.
"Can we hear the story about how you met?" Caesar asks.
"Yes, well we were in kindergarden and it was our first days. I saw her sitting alone, wearing a blue dress and I decided to sit next to her. I asked her if I could sit and she said that no one else was sitting there. I said their loss. We became friends since then and I asked her out when we were 13. We were dating for 4 years until we volunteered," Cato recounts. His interviews almost over.
"That's great, are you ready to go into the games? Are you willing to risk your life for the life of Clove?" Caesar asks his final question.
"Yes, I will sacrifice my life to save them," he says. He said it, everyone looks confused and is looking at me.
"Are you saying that Clove's pregnant?"Caesar asks.
"Yes, Clove is pregnant with my child," he says, standing up and walking towards me, I hug him. I hear the crowds screams.
"No Hunger Games!"
"She's having a baby!"
"It isn't fair!"
Everyone was yelling. Then something miraculous happened. Finnick grabbed ahold of Johanna and Mag's hands, then they held hands with everyone else. We were united together, we held our hands in the air. The crowd got crazier and crazier. I heard Caesar yell cut to the cameras, and then the interview stadium turned dark.
Next chapter is the gamess. Reviews please.
