The Heartbreak
(Chapter 15)
As soon as Inuyasha's figure disappeared into the distance Kagome broke down in tears. Kelala nuzzled her with her head and whined quietly. "When did my life become so complicated Kelala?" Kagome said through sobs. After a while Kagome crawled onto Kelala's back and whispered into her ear, "Let's go after him girl." Kelala nodded in understanding and leapt into the air. Kagome was looking this way and that searching for Inuyasha but she was coming up short. All of a sudden she saw rustling in the shrubs below, "Down there!" Kagome yelled at Kelala before a figure shot out of the shadows and knocked Kelala sideways. Kagome was thrown from Kelala's back and quickly fell toward the ground. Someone caught her out of midair and once they both reached the ground he through her over their shoulder and began to run.
"Who-who are you?" Kagome stuttered out as the person carrying her proceeded to keep running. "Hush wench." The husky voice said, Kagome flinched at the hostility in his voice "Let me go!" she screamed hoping that he would either listen or someone nearby would hear her struggles and come to her aid. "I warned you girl." The strange man sent shock waves throughout her body and she quickly passed out. The strange man smiled and kept running to his destination.
Koga was sitting at the edge of the forest where Kagome had disappeared into riding on Kelala's back. "Sitting there with that look on your face isn't going to bring her back any faster." Miruko said from his leaning place against the tree nearby. "How would you feel if Sango ran after a guy that she still loved by herself." Koga spat out and then felt regret "I'm sorry I'm just very worried about her." Koga said looking away, "Which is to be expected Koga. Don't worry about it." Sango started to approach and a hasty rate with Kelala running after her. Koga was on his feet and on red alert before she even got close. "What's going on?" Koga asked impatiently "Kagome has been taken and Inuyasha is no where in site." Sango said a little out of breath "Has the mutter taken her?" Koga said with hostility dripping from his voice. "No he hasn't, Kelala said that she did not recognize the scent of the person that abducted Kagome." Koga clenched his fist together and torn off into the woods. "Koga!" Sango called after him, "Don't worry about him let's take to the sky and look for her." Miruko said and they both jumped onto Kelala and headed in the opposite direction of Koga.
Kagome groaned and pushed herself into a sitting position while slowly opening her eyes. "Where am I?" Kagome said to herself, looking around she realized that she was in cell. She pushed herself to her feet and carefully walked toward the front bars of the cell and peered out. There were many other cells lining the adjacent wall but they seemed to be empty. Kagome heard footsteps coming toward her and instinctively took several steps back. "Finally you're awake." The husky voice from before said from the shadows. The door to Kagome's cell creaked open. "Come." Was all Kagome heard and she stayed right where she was "Now." Kagome was shuffled out of her cell and was lead down the hall into a bigger brightly lit room and forced down on her knees.
"Thank you Toki." A women's voice came from the front of the room, Kagome turned her attention to the beautiful women standing in front of her. The women had long black hair that spilled down all the way to her thighs, she kept her bangs pinned back with charmed barrettes. Her kimono was dark blue that was just the right shade to bring out her forest green eyes. A young man walked up to her and knelt in front of her fisting his hand over his heart. "You are welcome my lady." After paying his respects to her he stood and took his place at her side. "What do you want from me?" Kagome asked glaring at the two that stood before her "Why your baby of course." The women said with great evil in her voice "What?!" Kagome exclaimed
"You posse the jewel sight and great power. Which means so does your baby, and with the proper training from birth the baby will become even stronger than you." The woman said and Kagome gasped, "You will never lay a finger on my baby." The women let out a laughter that would scare even the heavens. "You do not have a choice." The man took a few steps toward Kagome and she took some steps back throwing her hands over her stomach in protection. "Anko what will you have me do with her." Toki asked never taking his eyes off of Kagome "Restrain her." Toki took hold of Kagome as she thrashed in protest, "What are you going to do with me? Keep me locked away until I give birth? My friends will find me and recuse me before that happens, I am newly pregnant if you don't know." Kagome said challenging Anko with her eyes, Anko laughed loudly and raised a hand palm out toward Kagome. "No I'm just going to use my powers to speed along your pregnancy."
Dark light shot from Anko's palm and hit Kagome in the stomach, Kagome fell to the floor after Toki released her and screamed in pain. "My magic is that of older magic and I can control time." Anko said with and wicked smile playing across her face. Kagome's stomach began to swell and her pregnancy moved along at an inhuman rate. Kagome screamed one last time and went into labor.
