Sorry for the long wait... I still love you guys, school has just been tough. Remember, words can't bring you down.

Cato POV:

I saw the shimmer. I saw the forcefield before Clove did. I tried to warn her but it was too late, the second she registered what I said, it was to late for her arm to stop. It was almost like slow motion, her knife made contact with the forcefield and I could see the spark of it, then she went flying back. Her back hits a tree and I see her eyes close and her head drop down. If she didn't just hit the forcefield, you would think that she was asleep.

"Clove!" I know she can't hear me, but its instinct to yell her name. I come rushing at her and kneel down in front of her. I shake her, not enough to hurt her, but enough to try to open her eyes. She doesn't move.

"Clove?" I lay her down quickly and put my ear against her chest. Instead of the beating fill my ears, I hear silence. I quickly grab her wrist and try to feel her pulse, but there's nothing.

"C'mon Clove, we've been though everything together. Don't leave me now," I say, sort of pleading with her. Then I feel rough hands push my back. I fall on the ground but quickly look up. Finnick is the one who pushed me and is now looking down at Clove. I draw my sword and I'm about to decapitate him until I see him... kissing her? I stare, Finnick is kissing Clove. This gets me mad. I run at him full force and I try to knock him over, but Haymitch comes and tackles me to the ground before I can touch him.

"Get off of me!" I yell at the old man on top of me.

"Cato, Cato! Calm down!" he yells. "Look, he's helping her you knuckle head," he lets me go and I relax. I watch as Finnick is doing chest compressions and doing mouth to mouth. It looks as if he's done this his entire life, well I guess he has, for people who have heart attacks on ships, they probably have to learn from an early age. I come closer and hold Clove's hand, squeezing it. It feels like forever, but finally I hear a faint cough. Finnick pulls back and wipes the sweat off.

"Clove!" I yell, kissing her on the cheek.

"Cato?" she faintly says.

"Are you okay?"

"Well I just hit something and flew back, do you think I'm okay?" she asks with sarcasm.

"Are you okay enough for me to do this?" I ask, leaning in for a kiss. I kiss her gently and pull back.

"I'm okay enough for that, but I can also do this," she says, pulling me in for a longer more passionate kiss. Someone coughs behind us and we pull back.

"I think we should start going, we should set up camp before dark," Finnick says, his trident already in his hands and Mags on his back.

"Can you get up?"

"I'll try," she lifts her hands up and I pull her up. She tries to stand, but she's weak from the forcefield, so I basically carry her all the way.

"Cato?" Clove asks while we're walking. Finnick is leading and Haymitch is in the back.

"Yes?" I ask looking down at her.

"The baby," that's all she has to say for me to worry.

"Clove," I'm about to say more, until I'm cut off.

"I think that the baby's alive," she says, looking in my eyes. We're still walking, but all I focus on is her.

"But Clove-"

"Cato, the baby's alive," she says.

"But your heart stopped Clove, if your heart stops the baby's heart stops," I say, finally able to get a complete sentence in.

"Cato, the baby's alive. I can feel it," she says. She can see that I'm about to protest so she continues speaking. "And if the baby did die, wouldn't I have bled already?"

"Well yes," I say, realizing that she's right. But if she's not, I don't want her hope to be up.

"Exactly, so the baby's alive," she says.

"Ok, the baby's alive. And I'm so happy that your okay," I say, looking into her eyes. "You got me so worried... if you, if you died I don't think that I could live."

"Well that makes two of us," she smiles. Then I kiss her.
