Buffy: I'm sorry. I was wrong and selfish. Please, send me back to clean up my mess. Let me battle the Master and save the world. Then I'll return to face whatever punishment you deem fit.
Hades: Why should I trust you? Perhaps it would be best to kill you and let another slayer take your place.
Buffy: I believe I was made the slayer for a reason. Because I am most qualified to defeat the Master and save the world. I have made a lot of mistakes along this journey, but at least I'm trying to make amends. You could send people back to help fight the First, but you haven't.
Hades: There are certain rules that cannot be broken, even by me. To break these rules would bring consequences that you do not want.
Buffy: Worse than the end of all life?
Hades: No, but quite possibly the end.
Buffy: And do these rules prevent you from personally fighting?
Hades: No, but like you I was scared. That is not easy for me to admit. I will allow you to return to your world, then you will return to face your consequences.
