Clove POV:
I look warily over at our new allies. I don't know who they are, but I don't like the sound of more allies. But with Johanna, I sense trouble. If Finnick knows her, they must be a team, and teams aren't good to be up against. Many allies leads to trouble, and when we're the last in the arena, the most powerful of us will have to fight each other. Cato senses my discomfort and hold my hand. I smile up at him and he returns with his gorgous smile of his. He leads us over to new group. As we approach I see that they're covered in a red liquid. We're getting closer, when I see a woman walking up to Johanna. The woman obviously has some issues because she's walking in circles and I can see her mouth moving, but no one was talking to her. All of a sudden Johanna pushes the woman to the ground at her feet. The woman is older than her, so it takes her a while to get up, but when she does and tries to get Johanna's attention, she's pushed down again. This can't happen, I'm not letting Johanna push around a defencless woman. Before I know what I'm doing, I run over to the new group, completley abandoning Cato.
"Hey!" I yell, trying to stop Johanna from pushing over the woman. It's Betee, the femal tribute from 3. But Johanna pushes her down again, the woman gets up again and is about to be pushed when I tackle Johanna. I don't understand why I would tackle her if I'm pregnant, but now Johanna is pissed. We wrestle for a little, but my pregnancy is wearing me out. I start to slow down and Johanna pins me to the ground. Her hands are on my shoulders and her knees are on my hands. Her feet are pushing down my legs. I can't move, this is just like the Cornucopia, except now I'm Katniss and she's me.
"What are you doing 2?" Johanna snarls.
"I'm protecting my ally," I say.
"Protecting her from what?" she questions, even though she knows the answer.
"You, becuase your a bossy bitch," I say. This gets her mad and she slaps me across my face. I keep in my moan of pain and I replace it with a glare. But Johanna doesn't care, she takes my head and slams it against the sand. Even though it's sand, it hurts like hell. She's about to punch me when Cato comes slamming into her. I slowly get up with Finnick's help. I thank him and he just nods. I watch as Cato and Johanna wrestle, but it's already clear who would win from the start. Johanna is just that dumb to try to fight him. She is quickly pushed onto the sand, and Cato pins her down. His beautiful icy blue eyes, turn darker as he stares at her.
"Don't touch my wife," he growls. He punches her and Johanna gets knocked out.
"Clove!" he's running over to me. He sits down next to me and looks me over. "Where did she hit you?"
"She slapped my right cheek and then slammed my head on the sand," I say, holding me head.
"Which cheek? This one?" he asks, leaning over and kissing my cheek, "or this one?" he leans over again and kisses the other one.
"This one," I say, pointing. He kisses me cheek again.
"Better?"
"Yeah, but my head still hurts like a bitch," I say. Cato just nods. I lean in and I rest my head on his shoulder. Almost immediatley, his arms are wrapped around my body. Just then Johanna decides to wake up. She stands up with the help of Finnick and Haymitch then looks at us.
"I got them for you!" she yells, still clearly mad.
"For me?" I ask, looking at Cato. He is clearly just as ocnfused as I am, we look at her waiting for her to explain.
"My mentor said that to become your ally I had to get Betee and Wiress," she explained impatiently.
"What happened?" Haymitch asked, looking at the red on her.
"We were in the jungle, thinking it was safe. Then it started to rain, but instead of water coming down, blood came down. Hot. Thick. Blood. It was practically suffocating and blinding us as we ran around the jungle, trying to escape the nightmare. That's why Blight his the force field," she pauses, taking in some air and thinking of what to say next, "he wasn't much, but he was from home."
"What happened to Betee? It looks like he's still bleeding," Finnick observes.
"During the blood bath, he risked his life for some dumb cord," Johanna says, finally calming down.
"C'mon," I say, getting up and lifting Cato to his feet. He looked at me questionably.
"Want to help me wash them off?" Cato nods. I take Wiress's hand and Cato lifts up Beete.
"Tick tock! Tick tock!" she yells.
"Tick tock?" I ask her.
"Tick tock!"
"Yes, tick tock, tick tock," I say, playing along with whatever she was doing. She seemed to calm down a little. I continuted washing her while Cato washed Beete when Wiress started to yell.
"TICK TOCK! TICK TOCK!" she said excitedly. She was pointing towards a section of the jungle, I watched closely. Suddenly I hear a scream. Then a cannon. The hovercraft comes over and picks up pieces of a tribute. Then everything starts to go together. I look around at where the Cornucopia was pointing, to the lightning tree, where 12 booms were heard. Then the fog, and monkeys. I looked at the tribute plates, how there were 2 per each little wedge. That means there would have to be 12 wedges for all the tributes to fit.
"Oh my god," I say under my voice. "Wiress you're a genious! This arena is a clock!
