Okay guys, I'm so sorry about the name mix ups. It's not acceptable and I'm sorry. So I'm making this chapter extra long just for you guys. I'm really sorry.

Disclaimer : I don't own the THG

Cato POV:

When Beetee seemed clean of the blood, I help him back to the sand. There, I tend to his wounds. I clean them out and wrap some moss around it to make sure that it doesn't bleed again.

"Thanks," Beetee says. I just nod and turn back to watching Clove. She's washing Wiress really gently. She'll be an amazing mother.

"Do you think, that when it comes down to it, will you kill Clove?" Johanna asks, I turn my attention to Johanna, looking at her hateful eyes. I'm so taken aback by this question. Who did she think I was? Just some guy that will use a girl and then when she thinks that he loves her, kill her? I love Clove and I would never hurt her, ever.

"No, I will never ever hurt her, ever. I love her, and apparently you can't understand what love is if you think that killing your love is normal," I say, disgusted at her. She just glares at me and looks away, ending the conversation. I turn back to Clove. She seems confused as she's washing her. I squint and see Wiress talking, well babbling. Clove just says one word answers and continues washing her. Then I hear Wiress faintly yell.

"TICK TOCK! TICK TOCK!" I'm about to go running, thinking that something's wrong, but Wiress is just getting excited and pointing. Then we hear a scream. It's not Clove's, I know what her scream sounds like. This scream sounds raspy and hoarse. The tribute is screaming bloody murder, then a canon booms, silencing her. I stand up, looking around for the hovercraft, making sure that the tribute wasn't near us, because if he/she was, then the tribute that killed him/her is around here. I look as the hovercraft flies over to a section of trees pretty far away and retrieve the body. But instead of the hovercraft picking up the whole body, it picks up individual pieces. I feel as if I need to throw up, whoever killed the tribute is a murderous person that obviously takes pleasure in cutting people into pieces. I look over at Clove to make sure that she was not harmed, but instead of a frown, I see a smile. I'm confused, she's laughing and hugging Wiress. They aren't even that close. I watch in curiosity as Clove leads her over to the edge of the sand, then she takes off in a sprint, running over to me. The smile on her face is contagious, and even though I don't know why she's smiling, I end up smiling too. She runs into my arms and I twirl her around, happy about her enthusiasm.

"Cato! You can't believe it!" she says, still hugging me. I pull her back so I can look at her.

"What is it?" I ask her, still smiling because she is.

"Wiress is a genius!" she says.

"How?" I ask. I knew she was smart, but genius, really?

"The arena is a clock," she says, looking at me in the eye.

"A clock?" I ask, confused now.

"Yes, and each wedge has a new threat," she explains.

"Wedge?"

"Gosh Cato your so stupid," she laughs.

"Shut up," I say, smiling, but still confused.

"Okay, so you see how there are two tribute plates, then they are separated by that small amount of rock?" she asks, pointing.

"Yeah, and?"

"Well, there have to be twelve of those wedges because if two tributes are in a wedge, then two times twelve is twenty four," she explains, waiting for me to nod, "and then if you see where the Cornucopia is pointing? That's twelve o'clock," She says. I process everything, this has to be right.

"With a new threat every hour," I say, finally understanding. She nods happily.

"Yup, so Wiress isn't crazy," she says.

"So then that's what we've been hearing at night?" I ask.

"Yup, let's tell the others," she says. She takes my hand and leads us over to the others.

"What happened?" Finnick asked, now on alarm.

"Wiress figured out this arena," Clove says, explaining it all. They all seem satisfied, finally figuring this out.

"So that means we have to stay on the beach so they don't attack us," Haymitch says.

"Let's make a fire," Finnick says, standing up and surveying the beach. We all gather supplies and get ready to sleep for the night. Finnick shows us how to find the fish in the sea and we all sit down for a meal.

"We need to build a fire," I say.

"That is the stupidest idea, other tributes can see us for miles. Why would we need to risk getting attacked to build a fire?" she spits.

"Clove," is all I say. I watch as she gets pissed.

"Oh, so if Clove needs a fire, we have to put out lives at risk?" she asks.

"Yep, pretty much," I say, hugging Clove close to me. She puts her head on my shoulder and I wrap my arms around her.

"Okay, so since the highness needs a fire, I'll be the servant and go get her one," she says rolling her eyes, and walking in the jungle, cursing under her breath. Finally the fire is build and Clove's fish is cooked. We're all eating when I open up an oyster, I'm really starting to like them, I find a pearl. I look it over and smile, this would be a perfect gift for Clove.

"For you," I say, she sits up and looks at what I'm holding, "A beautiful pearl for a gorgeous woman," I smile my most charming smile that I know she loves.

"Thank you," she says, taking the pearl. She leans in and kisses me a thank you. She looks at the pearl, turning it over in her hand. She's smiling and I'm happy that she loves it.

Clove POV:

I turn the peal around in my hand. I love it! It's so pretty and what Cato said made me blush. I'm just happy that the darkness of the night covered it or else he would laugh at me. I pull the pearl in a pouch that I created made of moss and vines to hold the spiel and now the pearl. We all finish up our meal and we throw everything back into the ocean. Wiress seems to be able to speak in words, I guess the shock and dehydration that we still all have has taken her over. I feel bad for her, no one should be going into this arena, but especially not someone old.

"Okay, in the morning, we're all heading to the cornucopia to check if Wiress's idea is right," Haymitch announces.

"What about shifts?" Cato asks, looking around.

"Since there are two more of us and we're pretty much safe we can do 3 shifts. And we can use the hourly booms as time," Finnick says.

"I'll take the last shift," I say.

"I'll take that shift with you," Cato says looking at me. I nod saying that it's okay, but of course Johanna has to ruin our happiness.

"No way! They won't guard, all they'll do is have sex and be distracted," Johanna says. I blush because it's probably true. Cato looks down as if he doesn't know what to say. I chuckle at how cute he is. All the other allies agree with Johanna, so now it's Cato and Beetee for the first shift. Wiress and Haymitch for the second shift. And lastly, Me and Finnick for the final one. Johanna is just going to stay awake for the whole night, claiming that we won't protect her if we were attacked at night.

"Night," Cato says when he lies me down on the sand.

"Night," I say, pulling him in for a sweet kiss. I pull away and smile.

"Just leave me some room," he says, winking. I just laugh and kiss him again. I fall asleep in seconds.

"Clove!" I hear whispering. I'm being shaken and I open up my eyes.

"What?" I ask, groggily.

"It's your shift," I recognize Haymitch's voice.

"Okay, just one more second," I say, as I curl up to Cato's body and try to fall asleep. I'm awaken second later.

"No you don't. Just wake up, or I'll send Johanna to throw you in the lake," that gets me up. I quickly roll towards the voice and get up. I rub my eyes and I sit down next to Finnick. The sun's rising and I can see Finnick and Johanna without the fire.

"It's about time that you woke up," Finnick says, laughing. Johanna just glares at me. We sit there in silence for a long time, me looking into the fire, Finnick sitting in the lake, and Johanna just walking around. Out of no where, Johanna just comes next to me and pushes me off the log I was sitting on, and onto the sand. I want to push her back, but I don't bother. What good would that do anyways?

"What's your problem?" I ask her through my teeth.

"You," is all she says, still glaring at me.

"What did I ever do to make you hate me?" I ask her, genuinely curious.

"Because you have everything, and your still an ungrateful bitch," she says as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"What makes me the ungrateful bitch? You have everything that I do," I retort.

"No, your spoiled and all you do is rely on Cato. What would you do if I killed him, huh? Who would you rely on then?" she asks me, now screaming. I'm sure we're waking up the whole camp, but right now I don't care.

"You know what? You're the bitch because you take everyone's happiness and you insult them only because you don't have it," I yell. I can't take it anymore, I run into the bushes. Leaving my knifes and everything.

Cato POV:

I wake up to hear screaming.

"No, your spoiled and all you do is rely on Cato. What would you do if I killed him, huh? Who would you rely on then?" I hear Johanna screaming. I quickly look up, she's going to kill me? It looks like she's pissed at Clove, but Clove is also mad.

"You know what? You're the bitch because you take everyone's happiness and you insult them only because you don't have it," Clove screams, then she runs into the jungle. That gets me to my feet.

"Clove!" I yell. Looking where she just disappeared from. I look around, and I see her knifes in the ground, now she's running through the jungle unarmed. I grab a knife and run in after her. I'm running around for 30 minutes, when I hear a cannon. Not a hour cannon, but a death one.

"Shit!" I say, running a hand through my hair and letting tear fall. Clove is dead. She's dead and Johanna let her leave. JOHANNA! I storm over to camp, running over to Johanna and tackling her down.

"You killed her! You killed her!" I scream at her, punching her and punching her. I'm so upset that I can't even control myself, I let my tears fall as I continue to hit her.

"Hey!" she screams, trying to block the punches, but I'm too strong for her. She receives punch after punch, but I can't stop. She killed Clove. I feel strong arms trying to pull me off of her, but I ignore them. Finally I stop, letting tears fall.

"Cato... are you crying?" Finnick asks, his voice soft.

"Yes, the love of my life is dead," I say, "and it was her fault!"

"Cato?" I hear a voice that I never thought I would hear again.

Clove POV:

I can't believe what Johanna said. I run into the jungle to fume. I hear Cato's shouts for me, but I keep running, letting his voice drown out. Only then do I realize that I don't have any weapon, I left them all at camp. How smart of me, I think. I hear footsteps and I run. If this is another tribute, I need to put as much distance from them to me. I run as fast as I can. I'm running for about 20 minutes when I crash into a human. The impact is so large that it sends me flying to the ground. I look up to see Gloss. He's standing still as if I didn't hit him.

"Well well well, who do we have here?" he asks, smiling. He takes out a knife and twirls it. I look at his weapon and see dried blood. I shrink away, hoping that my fate won't be the same as that tribute's.

"You're not leaving so fast," he says, stepping on my foot, keeping me there.

"Let me go," I say, looking up at him.

"How about no?" he asks, then he pounces on me. He has me pinned and he takes out his knife, dragging the tip along my face. I try not to show fear, but I'm terrified. My and my baby's life is in his hands. I look around to see a twig on the ground, perfect. I grab it quickly and before he can get me, I stab the twig in his eye. He roars in pain and looses his grip on me. I quickly try to get away, but he grab my leg, pulling me down. I'm falling and I make sure to use my elbows to block the baby. I grit my teeth in pain when I land on them, knowing that there will be black and blue there tomorrow, if I even make it till then. I look over at him and see a disgusting thing. The twig is sticking out of his eye which is slightly closed. Blood is gushing out of it and his face is contorted in pain and rage as he twists my leg. I scream, as I hear the break. I struggle as he grins by my scream. I take my other leg and kick the twig into his eye more. Just then he slumps down, a cannon booms, he's dead. I wonder how he died when I remember, the eye is right in front of the brain. I turn over Gloss and look at the twig, it's buried in his eye and blood is surrounding his body. I quickly drop him and I start limping to the beach. I curse myself for running so far away, but I toughen up. I'll see Cato. When I get into a visible view I see Cato crying. I run as fast as my broken leg can take me.

"Cato!" I yell. He goes rigid for a moment, then he turns slowly. He smiles and runs towards me.

"Clove, I thought you were dead. Don't ever do that to me again!" he says as he hugs me. I hug him back.

"I'm sorry," I say, tears running down my face. Cato wipes them away and leads me to the campsite.

"Ow!" I yell as my broken foot hits the sand. He looks down and sees the swollen ankle. He sweeps me up and carries me bridal style to the camp. I have him and he has me, and that's all we ever need in life.

I worked so hard on this, so reviews would be greatly appreciated.
