Chapter 537
The Master tortured Spike. He put his head in holy water. Marcus had been serving the Master since ancient Rome, some believed he invented several of the classic tortures. Before Marcus became Turak-han he brutally tortures Spike as well. The Master also made Spike watch as Drusilla shed her humanity. Dreg, Doc, Tiernan, Caleb, Hauser, Absolom, and the others all became Turak-han this night. They nailed Spike to the cross. He was in great pain as he watched the Master summon his people. With the relic that Gwen Raiden stole for Absolom he summonned the ghosts of his cannibal people.

Master: These were my people once Spike. They taught me to believe in total destruction long before humans created the weapons to make it a reality. I have brought them back, given them only enough life for one last day. They shall fight in the final battle for evil. Some will live to see the very end of all life. In any event, I'm glad I get to share this with my brothers and sisters. And I'm glad you'll live to see this, knowing there's nothing you can do to stop the end of all things.

As the Master talked he saw that Spike was gone. The cross must've destroyed him. The Master would've preferred he live intil the very end of life, but his punihment would have to do.
