Chapter Twenty-Four

Nine months later

Addie looked into the mirror and smiled. It was finally her wedding day and she was getting ready to walk down the stairs and have Penny Halliwell tie the ribbon around her and Sam's wrists, bonding them to each other. Piper had successfully summoned her father, and Sam's mother, so they would be there for the ceremony. Bobby had also driven in and brought Ellen, Jo and Ash, hunters who had helped Sam and Dean try to find her while she'd been missing. A knock at her bedroom door got her attention.

"Come in." She said, turning to see Paige, Piper and Phoebe walk in. Phoebe was wearing a robe and Paige was wearing a feminine-looking tux that was a dark purple to match the dress Phoebe was going to wear. Piper was wearing a one-shoulder dress that was made out of a flowy silver material. She was taking her role as Mother of the Bride very seriously and had made everyone comfortable in the house.

"We need to get you ready!" Phoebe said, energy showing through. Addie grinned back, mirroring her enthusiasm.

"I'd love to stay and help, but I have to make sure Sam is doing okay." Paige said, leaving the room. Piper also left, saying that she needed to check the food for after the wedding.

"Let's get your hair done," Phoebe said. She steered Addie to a chair and started running a brush through her hair. Over the past few months, Addie had let it grow and it was almost down to her waist. "I think it would go well with your dress to leave your hair down, in waves."

"You mean like loose curls?" Addie asked her. Phoebe nodded. "Today is my big day, my hair needs swirls, so it doesn't go flat, set it in loose curls." Addie's hair immediately formed into long waves. Phoebe smiled.

"I think it will be perfect with your rosebuds if we just pin it out of your face a little." She demonstrated by showing Addie what she had in mind. Addie nodded and Phoebe pinned it in place. "Go put your dress on while I get your bouquet and change into my dress." Addie nodded and grabbed her dress. She quickly stripped off her night-clothes and pulled it on. It was corsetted, with a floor-length skirt. The skirt was made out of several layers of tulle, each one alternating in color, first dark purple, then light purple then silver. The top of the dress was silver with dark purple laces and the sleeves were off the shoulder. She pulled her dress on, careful of her hair and went to grab the matching silver shoes that Phoebe had picked out. As she was picking them up, Phoebe came in.

"Let's get your laces tied." She said, walking up to the bride. Addie nodded and turned around so Phoebe could lace the back of her dress. A thought came to her and she smirked a little.

"I hope Sammy doesn't get too impatient trying to get me out of this dress tonight." She said, giggling slightly. Phoebe snorted at the thought of Sam being frustrated by Addie's dress.

"Well, he could always cut you out." She suggested.

"If he does, then it's a good thing we used ribbon instead of the cord that came with my dress." Addie said, giggles coming harder now. Phoebe joined her laughter and finished tying the dark purple ribbon in a bow and left the ends hanging down, almost to the hem in Addie's skirt. She then fluffed out the skirt so it would fall properly before helping Addie into her shoes. After that was done, Phoebe grabbed the crown of yellow rosebuds and placed them in Addie's hair. Addie's smile was now slightly bittersweet. It had been nine months since Zoe had disappeared from their lives, and six since she'd found out that Zoe didn't go to Colorado like she said she was. The yellow roses that adorned her hair and bouquet were her way of bringing a little of her absent best friend into her wedding.

Phoebe smiled at her, knowing what was going through Addie's mind. "I know you wish Zoe were here, we all do." Addie looked at Phoebe, her sister and sparring partner.

"Zoe made her choice." She said, keeping her voice level. "She'll come back when she's ready. Today's about Sammy and I. I will go back to worrying about where Zoe is after the honeymoon. Where are Piper and Leo sending us, anyway?"

"That's a secret," Phoebe said, winking at her. "Paige has it all ready, she's going to orb you guys in after the reception. After that, you two will have two weeks all to yourselves before Paige comes back to get you." Phoebe then started applying light silver and purple eyeshadow to bring a little emphasis to her eyes and a clear lip gloss that brought a little shine. A pair of Amethyst and Opal earrings completed her attire.

"Hey guys, are you almost ready?" Paige asked, coming in. "Sam's getting really nervous and- Whoa, Addie you look fantastic." Addie grinned at her other sister.

"She's ready," Phoebe said. She handed Addie the bouquet and looked back at Paige. "Go get Dean." Paige nodded and left the room again. Phoebe then looked at Addie, who was beginning to look a little nervous. "Are you okay?"

"I've been waiting for this moment for over half of my life and now that it's here, I'm afraid that it isn't real." She said, "I'm afraid that this is all a dream and I'll wake up tomorrow and not know who I am again or that I'll wake up and it'll be the day after Sammy died again and I won't know who he is or why he was so important to me and I'll be lost again Phoebe." She was starting to get worked into a panic attack when Dean walked in. Understanding immediately what was going on, he walked over and wrapped his arms around her.

"Shhh, Addie." He whispered, kissing her cheek. "It'll be okay, just breathe. Sammy is waiting for you downstairs." She sniffled and looked at her older brother.

"Dean?" She asked, slightly unsure if it was him. He hugged her tighter and she returned the hug, taking comfort in his strength.

"I'm here," he said. She nodded into his shoulder and took a deep breath.

"How do I look?" Came her next question. Dean pushed her back slightly so he could see. He smiled at her.

"Absolutely stunning, Adora." Came a familiar voice from the door. Addie gasped and looked to see her father standing there, tears in his eyes and a smile on his face. "I'm so glad that I get to see you today."

"Hi, Daddy." She said, walking over to hug the man. He hugged her back, but before he could say anything else, Paige came back upstairs.

"I'm really sorry to cut things short, but I have a hyperventilating Sam downstairs." She said, "he seems to think Addie's going to change her mind. I told him not to worry, but that just seemed to make him freak out a little more. Mary is with him, but I think we should get this show on the road." Dean, John and Addie exchanged identical looks before they all started to laugh, Addie's near panic attack forgotten.

"I guess it's time then." Dean said, offering his arm to Addie. She beamed at him and took it.

"I'll see you downstairs," John kissed Addie's cheek and followed Paige down to the foyer, where Sam was waiting for her. Phoebe handed Addie the bouquet and headed down as well. After a moment, the wedding music wafted upstairs. Addie took a deep breath and looked at Dean. He smiled at her and kissed her forehead.

"Let's get you married," he said. Addie nodded her agreement.

"Yes, let's. Sammy's waiting for me." Was her response. Dean led her downstairs and she immediately zoned in on Sam. He was standing next to Penny with nervousness written on his face. He looked so handsome, his tux was the same shade of silver as Addie's dress and he was wearing a dark purple tie and cumberband. The relief on his face when he saw Addie made her smile so much bigger. Dean escorted her to Sam, kissed her cheek and put her hand in Sam's. Both of them took a moment to smile at Dean before turning their attention to the matriarch of the Halliwell family.

"Friends and Family from both sides of the veil, we have gathered here today to witness the bonding of Samuel Michael Winchester and Adora Lotus Winchester. These two have decided to spend forever together and we are here to celebrate their love. Paige, do you have the cord?" Paige handed the cord, made of ribbons that were dark purple and silver braided together, to her grandmother, who smiled at her. She then turned back to the couple. "Will you two join hands in front of me?" Sam and Addie clasped hands and smiled, looking into each others eyes. "You may now exchange the vows you have written for each other. Samuel, you first." Sam smiled nervously at Addie and opened his mouth to speak, clearing his throat.

"Dora from the first time I remember seeing you, I knew you were the most special girl I would ever know. You were my first best friend, and I want you to be my last. The times that we had to spend separated were honestly the worst times of my life, first because I feared you were moving on without me and then because I didn't know if you were safe. I love you with all my heart and plan on spending forever showing you how lucky I am to have you by my side. Thank you so much for loving me back, you have made me the happiest man alive." Addie's eyes had happy tears in them that were threatening to flow over when Penny turned to her.

"Adora, your turn." She said, smiling at her.

"Sammy, you are everything to me. I got my memories back because of you, and even when I didn't have my memories, I knew you were special to me. That time, in Cold Oak, I thought my heart would shatter because of the unexplained grief I felt at watching you die, and I didn't even remember who you were. When my memories were coming back, I knew that if I could have you with me, everything would be alright, and I know that now. I love you so much, that I don' t think I could love anybody more. I know that every moment of our lives that we spend together will be blessed. They may not always be easy, but we will be together and that's what will matter." The tears were now flowing freely from not only Sam, but Addie and almost everyone in the room. The only one who was managing to stay dry-eyed was Penny, and that was just barely.

"You two have declared your intent and your love for one another, and it is with great pride that I am here to bond you." She wrapped the cord around Addie's wrist and then Sam's making sure they were wrapped together. She then looked at Sam. "Samuel Winchester, do you swear to be a loyal and honorable husband to Adora? Will you watch after her, in sickness and health? Will you honor her and love her unconditionally?"

"I will," he said. She smiled at him and turned to Addie.

"Adora Winchester do you swear to be a loyal and honorable wife to Samuel? Will you watch after him in sickness and health? Will you honor and love him unconditionally?" She asked.

"I will." Addie said, smiling through her tears at Sam.

"Then as Matriarch of the Halliwell family, I seal this bond. From this day forward, you are one." She paused and smiled at Sam. "You may kiss your wife." Sam smiled and pulled Addie in, kissing her chastely, but passionately. They broke apart and stared into each other's eyes for a moment.

"I love you," Addie whispered to Sam.

"I love you, too." Sam whispered back, kissing her again. Everyone in the room started clapping as they pulled apart again and turned to their family.

"I give you all Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Winchester," Penny said with a smile. Everyone in the room rushed up to embrace them.

"I'm so glad for you, Sam." Mary said, reaching her youngest son first. "Adora is a beautiful woman." Sam beamed at his mother and hugged her close to him.

"Thanks Mom," Sam said before turning to his father. "Hi Dad."

"Hi Sammy," John hugged his son. "I'm glad you and Addie finally found each other again." Sam beamed at him and returned the hug. Addie also looked to her father and hugged him.

"Daddy," she said while hugging him. "I miss you and I'm so glad we could bring you here today."

"I love you, my girl." John said, hugging her back. He pulled away and looked at her. "I wish you nothing but happiness with Sammy." Addie smiled at the man she knew as her father.

"I know you can't stay long, but I'm so glad you're here." She then turned to Mary, "I'm so glad I get the chance to meet you. Dad and Dean always talked so fondly of you, that I often wished I'd gotten the chance to know you." Mary smiled at the young witch.

"I'm glad that my Sam found you and that you two are together." Mary said, hugging her. "I want you to be happy, always." As Addie returned the hug, Piper came up behind them.

"It's time to send them back," she said with a small smile. Addie nodded and turned to her father.

"I'll be watching out for you, Baby Girl." John said, hugging her. He then turned to Sam. "Take good care of her, Sammy." Sam nodded as John hugged him goodbye and John moved to his oldest. "I'm proud of you, Son. You've found the place where you are needed most." John hugged Dean and Addie felt a tear slip down her cheek at the look of surprise on her older brother's face. They broke apart and Dean turned to hug his mother goodbye.

"Take care of yourself, Dean." She said, kissing his cheek.

"I love you, Mom." Dean said, tears in his eyes.

"I love you too, Dean." She said and turned to Sam. "I love you, Sam. Take care of yourself and Adora, she's a priceless gem."

Sam kissed his mother's cheek and hugged her. "I will always take care of Dora, she is my life." Mary nodded and turned to Addie and hugged her.

"Welcome to the family, Adora." She said, "I am proud to be able to call you my daughter." Tears flowed freely from Addie's eyes as she kissed Mary's cheek.

"Thank you, Mother." She said softly before stepping back into Sam's arms. He pulled her close and kissed her temple as Piper showed Mary and John into the circle of crystals where Penny stood waiting. They looked into each other's eyes and smiled, grasping their hands.

"Until next time, my darlings." Penny said, before the three of them disappeared in a swirl of lights. After they were gone, Sam and Addie turned their attention to the rest of the wedding guests. She smiled as Sam began to introduce her.

"Dora, this is Ellen." Sam said, introducing her to the older of the Harvelle women. "She runs the Roadhouse." Addie smiled at the older woman and hugged her.

"Thank you so much for coming." She said to her.

"Thank you for inviting me." Ellen smiled back at her before turning to Sam and hugging him. "Congratulations, Sam."

"Thanks Ellen," Sam said while returning the hug. Jo walked up next and hugged Sam fiercely before turning to Addie.

"I am so glad Sam found you." She said, hugging the bride. "He seemed so lost last year without you." Addie smiled and returned her hug.

"Dora, this is Jo. She's Ellen's daughter." Sam told his wife. He smiled inwardly at the thought of his Dora as his wife. He felt like he'd been waiting his whole life for that privilege. Ash walked up next and grinned at Sam.

"Hey, I'm Ash and it sure is nice to meet you dollface." He said to Addie. She smiled at him and hugged him.

"Sam says you're a computer genius," Addie commented. "Thank you for helping him try to find me."

"It's no problem," Ash said. "Anything for family." Addie grinned at him.

"I like your hair." She said, motioning to his mullet.

"All business up front," he said with a flip of the longer hair in the back. "Party in the back." Addie giggled at him as he turned to Sam. "Treat her right, Sammy-boy, or I might try to take her from you." Addie snorted and Sam just grinned at Ash.

"You don't have chance," Sam said. "I've waited my whole life for her, I'm not gonna lose her now."

"Good." Ash said, walking to talk to Dean and Paige. Sam shook his head and turned to greet the next guest who was already hugging Addie.

"Thank you so much for coming, Daryl." She said to the police detective. "It means a lot." She then motioned to her husband. "Sammy, this is the Detective Paige and I work with down at the precinct." Sam nodded and shook Daryl's hand.

"Thank you so much for coming." He said.

"You are very welcome, do you do the same kind of work as the girls?" Daryl asked him.

"Dean and I are hunters," Sam said. "We hunt monsters and stuff." Daryl nodded and moved on, leaving space for the last guest.

"Thanks for coming, Bobby." Addie said, hugging the older hunter.

"Not a problem, Princess." Bobby said, "you treat our Sammy really good now, ya hear?"

"Absolutely." Addie said. Bobby clapped her on the shoulder before hugging Sam and moving on. Addie turned to look at Sam with adoration in her eyes. He was looking back at her, reflecting the emotion.

"I love you so much, Dora." He said, leaning in to kiss her.

"Not as much as I love you, Sammy." She said, kissing him back. He smiled at her and pulled her into him.

"I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one." He kissed her one last time before Phoebe and Paige came looking for them.

"Come on you two," Paige said. "We have dinner all set up for us." Addie grinned at her sister and grabbed Sam's hand. He smiled, it wasn't like he was going to be willingly far from her today.

"So if you'll follow us, we will go have dinner, and then on to the club for the dancing part of your reception." Phoebe said, leading the way into the back garden. She, Paige and Dean had kept everyone out of the area for the better part of the last six months. The result of their efforts was a faery themed garden full of trees that draped vines, wildflowers that shone in bright oranges and reds and a fountain that spewed gem colored water.

"Whoa," Addie stopped short and looked around at the garden. Sam voiced his amazement as well.

"This is amazing." He said, "it's just like the garden Dora used to tell stories about when we were younger."

"That's where we got the idea, Sammy." Dean said, "Paige and Phoebe did the spellwork so it's warm out here, even though it's January, but I remembered the small details of Addie's stories. Over here." He grinned and grabbed Addie's hand to pull them over to where there were tables situated. "I made these." Addie looked over at the tables and chairs, squealing happily.

"They're mushrooms!" She said, "just like I used to draw them! And over here, the fountain looks exactly as I imagined it!" Dean and Sam watched her, knowing that she was truly happy at that moment. Addie ran up and hugged Dean firmly. "Thank you so much, Big Brother!"

Dean smiled at her and they made their way over to where Piper was getting ready to serve dinner. Sam grabbed Addie's hand and she beamed at him. She knew that their happy lives were just beginning.

After they finished eating their dinner, Phoebe stood up and faced the group. "We're having the reception at P3 in an hour, Piper, Leo and Dean are planning on heading over there now to get things set up. Jo, Ash, Ellen and Bobby, you are more than welcome to stay here while I get Addie changed out of her dress. Sammy and Paige will entertain you." With that, Phoebe grabbed Addie's hand and drug her upstairs.

"Hey!" Sam said, chasing after them to the amusement of everyone. Phoebe stopped and looked at him as he caught up. "I wanted to kiss her before you pulled her away from me." Phoebe raised an eyebrow, but stepped out-of-the-way as Addie pushed her and wrapped her arms around Sam.

"I love you," she murmured as she leaned up for a kiss.

"I love you too," Sam said kissing her back deeply. They broke their kiss when Phoebe cleared her throat and Addie grinned impishly at her before kissing Sam one more time before letting Phoebe pull her upstairs to change.
