Nico wasn't exactly thrilled to hear his half-sister was going on her first quest with a girl no one really knew. To comfort him, I had asked that he be my plus-one, so to speak. And I guess Larissa and her family really shipped Solangelo, or whatever my brother and his boyfriend were called, because she decided to take Will.
"Are you ready yet?" Nico grumbled. I rolled my eyes. I was the last one to finish packing and of course big brother had to be impatient about it. "It's been an hour."
"You just finished like three minutes ago. I'll be done when I'm done. Would you tell a rose to bloom faster?" I asked, fanning myself dramatically. Nico sighed as Hazel and Larissa laughed.
"Your sister sure is something else," Will stated. I smiled as Nico shook his head at me.
"Why thank you, Will. I take that as the highest compliment," I smirked before zipping up my bag. "There. I'm finished. Quit looking at your wrist! You're not even wearing a watch!"
Nico flushed before shoving his hands into his jacket pocket. It looked like we were ready to go. Then Larissa seemed to have an 'aha' moment followed by a 'what is going on' look.
"Um, does anyone know where we're going?"
"Good. They took the bait. Thank you, Apollo," Demeter smiled wickedly as she watched the demigods head to the Big House, seemingly for advice (or directions). Apollo sighed inwardly before he spoke.
"No problem. We cool now?"
Demeter rolled her eyes. Putting up with childish gods were such a waste of time. She turned to him, nose high in the air like stereotypical villainesses.
"Yes, we are 'cool' now. You may go," Demeter waved him away. He shrugged before turning into a beam of light and shot towards the sky.
'Soon. Soon Hades shall pay for what he has done. Soon I shall have my daughter back.'
AN: I'll be nice and answer the third question from chapter 3. Aphrodite is a goddess. Messing with people is part of the gig. Now...duh! Duh! Duh! What did Demeter mean? What's going to happen to our heroes? And what does Apollo have to do with it?
