Here's a short little something. Like really short haha. I heard the song and thought of doccubus c:

It was the last week of summer and Bo insisted on us going to the Florida Keys to catch some fun in the sun. We were going to drive from Toronto just so we can have a nice little road trip and a little couple time before school started for the kids. Thankfully Kenzi and Trick agreed that we had been so wrapped up in taking care of our kids for the past few years that we forgot to take care of ourselves, not that we were complaining. We love our kids and would put ourselves last every time but our family wanted to give a little us time. Even our kids said we needed some mommy time.

The car ride there was absolutely amazing. We had stopped at a few cities to rest up but when we finally did get there after what seemed like forever Bo couldn't contain her excitement.

Her mouth was moving a mile a minute and I knew her eyes were taking in ever piece of scenery that was offered behind her giant sunglasses. She had a local pop station playing on the radio and was tapping her fingers on her thigh while singing along. Her little obsession with pop music always amused me. Who knew that Badass Bo Dennis was a sucker for a catchy pop hit.

I was navigating the car through the streets looking for a good parking when Bo gasped and put her hands over her mouth, "Oh my god Lauren!"

I smile and glance over at her silly wide-eyed expression, "What is it baby?"

She reaches out and cranks up the volume to the radio, "I love this song!" she squeals and starts to to sing and dance along and I can't help but steal a few glances and laugh.

Bo turns to me and starts to sing, making me actually listen to what the song is saying. "I wanna thrill you like Michael, I wanna kiss you like Prince! Let's get it on like Marvin Gaye, like Hathaway write a song for you like this!" she leans over the middle console and kisses my cheek, which was actually starting to hurt from smiling so hard at this adorable woman. "You're over my head, I'm out of my mind, thinking I was born in the wrong time! One of a kind living in a world gone plastic, baby you're so classic!" she smiles widely and giggles, "Ooooh Lauren when I first heard this song I thought of you. You're a classic baby. One of a kind. Nobody could every compare to you and that's a damn fact." she nods firmly.

I look over at her and melt at all the love shining in her eyes at me. "Mrs. Lewis you really know how to make a girl blush." I take her hand and kiss the back of it to convey my actual appreciation.

"Well for a classic like you what's to be expected?" she laughs before returning to singing her song, her hand staying tangled with mine on my thigh.

I sigh contently. I don't know what the rest of the day was going to good but if Bo kept singing sweet pop songs to me of be perfectly happy.
