Season 1, Episode 9: The Hollywood Kiss

Previously On 'California Friends'; Nikki Bella tells Brie she might be pregnant, and Daniel acts like a complete jerk to Brie when they have lunch together with Melina, but as for Nattie love life is looking brighter than ever as Tyson decides to take her for a vacation in Canada. Meanwhile for Melina, everything is confusing when it comes to her love life, not knowing whether or not she likes Brie as more than just a friend.

Brie Bella sits there with thoughts flying all through her mind, they run faster than ever, all through her heart and head. She sits there waiting, drinking her cup of coffee, she then starts to look through the magazines, to take her mind off Nikki and her possible pregnancy.
Nikki walks out of the Doctor's room, with her eyes widened and plenty of emotions, "Brie... I can't believe it, but... I'm pregnant," Nikki says, still not sure whether or not it's a good thing.
Butterfly's begin to fly inside Brie's stomach, "Nicole, I... I mean, it's great... but how are you feeling," Brie says trying to keep her emotions bottled up.
"Ugh, I mean, I'm scared... but you know what, I'm going to be a mother, so you know what, I should be happy," Nikki says as she shakes her head, and along with that shake, a smile appears.
Brie's eyes start to get watery, she let's out a smile filled with relief, "Nicole, you're going to be a mother, and if that's what you want and if it makes you happy, then that's all that matters," Brie says walking over to hug her sister. They both start to cry with joy, meanwhile mixed emotions still roam inside them, some dancing and others crying in the fire.
After her sister's pregnancy news, Brie Bella decides to drive over to Daniel's place, she pulls up in front of Daniel's place, and she sits there in her car, she starts to apply her makeup, and from the side of her eye she sees Daniel and another woman through the living room window, she looks at them tentatively from her car. She puts her makeup away, and instead she carefully watches them, her heart hopes that nothing happens, but her guts tell her something will happen. After a few minutes of waiting she is now fully secure that nothing is going on, so she opens her car door to go outside, and right when she does, she watches as Daniel leans over to kiss the other woman, and her heart quickly sinks. Without a doubt in her mind, Brie get's back into her car, she opens the door to her car, but because of all the thoughts going through Brie, she forgets that she locked her car, so her car alarm goes off, she then starts panicking because she doesn't want Daniel to see her from his window, Brie looks for her keys and at the same time she looks up to make sure Daniel doesn't turn around. She finally finds her keys and she quickly opens the door, but by then it's too late because Daniel and the mystery woman turn around and look over at Brie, Brie quickly get's into her car but before leaving she turns on the radio where Katy Perry's Wide Awake is playing and she looks over at Daniel one more time, they make short eye contact, until Brie puts on her sunglasses and turns away to drive off.
Meanwhile, all the way over in Canada, Nattie and Tyson walk down the Snowy Park, they walk down with their picnic basket and they both wear their coats, oh so elegant.
"Aren't you glad we came Tj," Nattie says as she bends down, to grab snow, she then makes a snowball and throws it against a tree.
"I still remember hating the snow when we lived here, but after being away for so long I started to miss it," Tyson says as they settle down on a nearby bench.
Nattie sits down, she pauses to take in the feeling of the enviroment around her, "It's so refreshing being back," Nattie says as she takes a deep breath to make a point.
"It really is refreshing, it's sort of like a rejuvenation for you," Tyson says as he puts his arm around Nattie and kisses her on the temple.
Nattie turns to look at Tyson and she watches as he looks at the white snow, she then too kisses him on the cheek, "I just wanted to say thank you, this all means a lot to me, I needed this," Nattie says as she lays her head on Tyson's shoulder.
"No problem, plus I actually also needed this, home... you know," Tyson says as they sit there on the bench, and not too far away from them is a local aspiring musician playing Hang Me, Oh Hang Me by Oscar Isaac.
All while Nattie is happy as ever over in Canada, back in California Brie Bella is sadder than ever. Brie sits their in her car waiting for the light to turn green, she looks out her window, where the afternoon grey clouds match her feelings, Brie puts her head down for a second to think about Daniel, and when she does the car behind her honks at Brie to go after the light turns green, Brie lifts her head up and continues to drive, and that honk helps Brie shake herself out of it and she instead tries hard to forget about Daniel, so she turns up the radio where You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette is playing. The song describes everything Brie is feeling, anger and strong hatred for Daniel, and even though it's cold and windy outside like her heart right now, Brie opens her windows to feel the rush and the anger makes her drive even faster.
And instead of going home to cry, Brie goes over to Melina's place, in order to get her mind off Daniel and everything that just happened. Brie pulls up to Melina's place, she picks up her phone and calls Melina, "Hey I'm here, hopefully I'm not too late for that girls night out thing," Brie says.
Melina then starts getting her stuff ready, "Brie's here, we should start heading out," Melina says to Jillian as she picks up her stuff and does a last house check before they go out for the night.
Brie stands by her car as she watches Melina and Jillian walk out, "Hey guys, I hope you're okay with me crashing your girls night out thing, it's just that I've had a bad day and I want to get my mind off it all," Brie says as she smells their perfume from where she is standing, she then walks over to hug them.
Melina gives Brie a genuine smile, "It's totally fine, it's a girls night out, the more people the better," Melina says as she then begins to fix her fake eyelashes.
Jillian goes over to Brie and she confronts her by hugging her with one arm, "And a fun night out with friends always helps the sad boy drama situation, we'll make sure you forget about him for the night," Jillian says now walking to her car to start opening the car roof.
Brie and Melina follow Jillian in the car, and they drive off. After driving off to several places to pick up 3 other friends, they finally drive off to the club.
Team by Lorde starts playing on the radio, "I love this song," Jillian yells to the girls in the car, she turns up the volume, and everybody in the car starts singing along, some going really wild.
Meanwhile Nikki, who is in the back seat next to Melina, get's lost in the moment so she stands up and spreads her arms up in the dark purple evening sky, Brie feels the rush going through her hair, she then looks up at the stars and frees herself for the night, "Woah," all the girls yell as they watch Brie have the time of her life from their mirrors , the girls also all start to have the time of their young lives in that car alone before even getting to the club, they all yell with their young and reckless mouths, driving down the Hollywood Boulevard, it makes for the perfect movie scene. The movie scene continues when Brie sits back down and leans over to kiss Melina, the girls in the car all think it's just a party fun type of kiss, so they all start to go even wilder. Meanwhile Brie pulls herself away and she tries hard to make it seem like that was the type of kiss she was giving Melina, Melina on the other hand is blown away and shocked, but she hides it, mostly because she enjoyed the kiss. Melina then get's up that time and she looks ahead as she sees the stars and the bright Hollywood lights, driving down the Hollywood Boulevard is where her crush kissed her, for the first time.
