Season 1, Episode 12: The Times Are Changing

Previously On 'California Friends'; Nattie finds out that she might end up getting fired from the Wrestling School (Company), Meanwhile Nikki decides to move out of John's place, and Melina finds out that she will win the Championship from Eve, but Eve is not happy with that decision at all.

Early in the morning Nattie decides to drive down to the Wrestling School in order for her to do something she never imagined doing, it took her a while but Nattie finally made up her mind.
After months of being forced to take time off, Nattie finally walks into the building, but her return is momentarily as she plans to tell Vince that after 5 years of working their she finally has decided to quit.
She walks down the hall of memories where coincidentally Leave The Memories Alone by Fuel is playing on the speakers. She try's to ignore the memories that are running around the hall, but she can't because there are too many of them, she remembers everything.
She finally get's to Vince's office, but she came to early because nobody is there yet, but knowing this could have happened, she takes out a letter she wrote earlier where she says everything she was planning on saying. Nattie looks at the letter one last time and then finally puts it down underneath the doorway. She then looks down the hallway one last time and she tries hard not to let the memories get the best of her. After walking around the building one last time, she finally heads to the entrance area, when she suddenly runs into Melina.
"Nattie, hey what are you doing here," Melina says with a simple smile.
Nattie can't help it but to break down and cry, since after all she wasn't planning on seeing any of the girls and she's been holding it back for far too long. Melina stands their shocked and surprised, she goes over to Nattie and gives her a hug, "Nattie what's going on," Melina says.
Nattie continues to cry, and after seconds of trying to stop, she finally does stop, "Melina this is my last day here... I quit," Nattie says in a lowered voice tone.
A gasp appears on Melina's face, "Wow, Nattie, I don't what to say, I'm sorry," Melina says.
Nattie wipes the tears away, "Yeah, it was about time, but this isn't the end of me, in fact it's only the beginning," Nattie says.
"I agree, I can't wait to hear what you'll go on to do next," Melina says as she gives Nattie a smile.
Nattie hugs Melina, "Don't worry i'm sure we'll still talk," Nattie says as she finally completely shakes the tears away.
"I hope we still do, but for now, do you want to go out for coffee," Melina says, knowing this might be the last time they ever talk.
"I would love to," Nattie says also knowing that this, will in fact, be the last time they talk. They both walk out, but before they leave Nattie stops and she looks around the building one last time, and after moments of taking it all in, she finally closes the door to that building that she has been walking in and out for the past 5 years of her life.
Daniel looks around the cloudy beach, when he finally finds Nikki. He walks over to her, "Ahh, I didn't think you would actually show up," Daniel says as he approaches Nikki.
"Look, I only came because I want to make everything better for Brie," Nikki says as she looks around, feeling guilty.
"It's good that you're trying to fix all of your mistakes, I'm surprised Brie hasn't come down on you," Daniel says, trying to shake Nikki down into feeling even more guilty.
Nikki crosses her arms, "Well she hasn't, she's busy with her own life and I don't tell her much about mine," Nikki says, not letting Daniel bring the guilt on to her.
Daniel sarcastically laughs, "Wow first you screw up by getting pregnant with your 2 month boyfriend John and then you decide to sell the place where you and your sister are staying at because you want to move in with John, leaving your sister practically homeless," Daniel says still trying to bring Nikki down.
Nikki rolls her eyes, "If were going to talk about people screwing up, why not talk about you now, but we both know that would take hours," Nikki says bringing the sass and throwing it up in the air with her words.
Daniel again laughs, "Ahh... That's funny, well I'm also trying to make things better, but unlike you I'm doing it for Brie," Daniel says as he feels the wind from the cloudy beach swirl around them.
"What do you mean," Nikki says as the wind blows her hair onto her face.
"Well before you moved out of John's place, you could care less where Brie would go, but now that the both of you are without a home, you want to desperately fix that," Daniel says as he shrugs, knowing his words hit Nikki hard.
Nikki's eyes get watery, as they almost drop tears, "Look Daniel I came here for the help you were supposed to give us," Nikki says as she removes the blown hair from her face.
Daniel looks at Nikki, "Yeah that is what I called you for, I want to help you and your sister by letting you both move in with me," Daniel says, hoping Nikki knows how hopeless she is at that point.
Nikki realises that that's her last option, so she gives Daniel a subtle fake smile, "At this point, why not... I just hope Brie is willing to forgive you," Nikki says as she feels the cold wind tugging and pulling on her. Later Nikki sits in her car, Nikki looks out her window into the ocean where the waves are crashing against each other, and those crashing waves remind her of her and how she's crashing and hurting everybody around her, and in that moment she wishes everything went back to how it used to be, before the pregnancy.
Melina walks into the dressing room where the only person in there is Eve, she then quietly enters, not knowing if she and Eve are still friends.
"Hey Melina, can you help me put this necklace on," Eve says with a cheerful tone, a little exaggerated for Melina.
Melina looks at her, she goes over to help her and in her head she is completely surprised that Eve is even talking to her, let alone being nice to her, "Sure, I would love to," Melina says, trying to be extra nice.
"Thanks, and hey can you please massage my back, just quickly," Eve says, now acting completely suspicious.
Melina starts feeling weird, but she goes along with it, "Uhhh... sure," Melina says, doing anything she can to remain friends with Eve.
Eve then unexpectedly holds onto Melina's wrists and she throws herself forward onto the makeup table, bringing Melina down with her. Melina's heart starts beating out of fear, she has no idea what Eve is happening, and for a second she fears Eve might be mentally ill. Eve then starts yelling "Help," she also starts to scream like if somebody were attacking her, she then gets up on her knees and starts backing up away from Melina, like if Melina just attacked her. Melina stays there, sitting on the makeup that is now all over the floor, she looks at Eve with a confused expression, but she finally understands the suspicious feeling she had, she wonders if Eve is maybe trying to get her in trouble by making a fake attack scene.
After seconds of Eve's screaming and Melina's scared confusion, Vince and staff members finally come running into the dressing room, where Eve remains screaming. Vince stands there on the doorway with a gasp on his face as he sees the mess around the room. Melina quickly get's up from the floor when she see's Vince, but her appearance is not a pleasant one; she has foundation all over her jeans and all over shirt, she also has it all over her hair and face. Eve on the other hand continues to stay there on the ground, as she pours her fake tears into an invisible cup.
"What the hell is going on," Vince yells as he continues to look around the room.
Eve get's up, "Melina, She attacked me, blame all of this on her," Eve says, as the lies hide well.
"Melina is that true," Vince says.
Melina stands there feeling hopeless and humiliated, "No, I swear I didn't attack her, Eve is lying," Melina says with a nervous tone, knowing they'll most likely believe Eve's well-played dramatic acting scene instead of Melina's nervous stuttered response.
Melina was of course right, after hours of talking and observing the video recorded by the security camera, they decided to believe Eve's side.
"Melina, we hate to do this, but all signs point to you, we're going to have to suspend you, just for a couple of weeks, and sadly we're going to have to cancel all plans for you to become Champion," Vince says as he walks out of the room, meanwhile Eve stands there across the room with a smirk on her face. Melina stands there feeling violated and sad, she feels like everybody has walked all over her, like it's her against the world, she then starts to get this frustration bubbling inside her as she now knows the truth behind it all. After almost a year of questioning her friendships, she now knows that all along Nattie has been the real friend who is telling the truth about how Eve really is, and Eve has been the fake one who is out to get everybody.
Melina then starts to feel dumb, for even being friends with Eve, and for leaning mostly on Eve's side then on Nattie's, Nattie's leaving is a sign that Melina is Eve's next biggest rival, after all the feud between Nattie and Eve also started the same way, when Nattie defeated her for the Championship years ago. Only time can tell where Eve and Melina are headed, and where Nattie will end up at after her quitting.
