Ahem. Just kiddin!

Anywho, enjoy. This is more fluff!

Raz didn't exactly remember falling asleep, but the next time her eyes flittered open, it was late morning. She shifted around, vision still bleary with sleep, head heavy. She cleared her throat, effectively setting off a bout of coughing; her chest felt heavy and congested, like she had a cold. Or pneumonia. She noted she felt considerably better; her abdomen wasn't as achey and her lungs were far less sore; really, she just had a sore throat and scratchy lungs, along with that annoying case of the chills and coughing. Either this was one of the mildest cases of pneumonia she's ever seen, because it felt like she just had a measly chest cold, or…

She couldn't help shrieking in surprise as her vision finally cleared… and she found herself lying in a bed that definitely wasn't hers, next to the last person she wanted to be caught lying in bed with. Her fiancé.

Snapping awake as well, they both sprung into sitting positions, before leaping up in surprise and shock. "We-?!"

"You were-"

"I was-!"

"We were-?!" both equally in surprise and shock, they could only stutter and babble back and forth for quite some time.

"Of fer the love of…" Raz laid a hand over her eyes, massaging her forehead. "Wot am I doin in here?! Ya don' think we..."

"Well I don't remember… taking part in such things."

"Ugh, gross." Coughing once into her fist, she headed for the door, yelling for the servants to get her a bath and something to scrub herself off with. Just in case.

...

"Wait, you mean you guys... did the naughty stuff?!" Alleigh sounded delighted, yet surprised and a tad disgusted at the same time. Raz growled, swinging a hand at the sprite.

"Shut up!" she hissed. "Again, kids in th' room!"

"So…?"

"Miss Alleigh?" Lela tugged at her hand. "What did they do? Did they draw on the wall or somethin?"

Both adult and teenager couldn't help laughing, amazed at her impossible innocence. "Sure squirt." the princess laughed, ruffling her fur. "They drew on the wall, and all over each other!"

"Alleigh!"

"What?" she shrugged innocently.

"Teenagers." She muttered, shaking her head. "They're so p'verted these days…"

"Y'know, I'd deny it…but you're not wrong!" the chipmunk giggled. "You're really not."

"Yeah." she muttered. "I noticed."

"I don't get it." Opal shook her head, sitting before Raz as she braided her ears back with a pretty silk pink ribbon. "I'm… kinda confused."

"OH for the love of fairy wings!" Alleigh cried out, zooming down toward the rabbit ears. She began whispering, and Raz could see her eyes growing wide with horror in the mirror.

"OH GROSS!" she shot out of the room, screaming. "THAT'S SO ICKY! EW!"

Of course, the following result was Alleigh being tossed out the window again.

...

After trying, and failing, to find Opal, who was no doubt traumatized, Raz found herself back in her room. She hated to admit it, but she was drowsy. Being sick had that effect on her; as far back as she could remember, when she wasn't well, she was always undeniably sleepy. Even for the slightest of colds, she found herself exhausted, in a tired haze that left her confused and a bit slow. But, in turn, it also made her feel calm and a bit docile.

She knew this well, but often found it hard to fight the reaction. It felt like she'd just had an entire glass of warm coconut milk, making her feel heavy and warm, eyes heavy. Often it was a battle just to stay awake.

Just as she'd decided on a midday nap, tucking herself gladly into bed, there was a soft knock on her door. "Mm…?" rolling onto her side to look at the door, she mumbled "Go 'way… 'm sleepin."

"Funny." A voice suddenly spoke beside her. "You don't look to be asleep."

She rolled her eyes and sat up reluctantly, not hesitating to whack her fiancé with a pillow. "Get lost." She ordered, flopping back down onto the bed, slamming the pillow over her head. "'m still mad at you."

"Ok, honestly, what did I do this time?!" he demanded, exasperated.

She threw another pillow at him, before pulling the blanket up closer to her shin, shuddering in sudden chills. "I wake up fr'm total unconsciousness in someone's bed who's bent on marryin me." She sneered. "You do the math."

"Oh… oh." He winced, and she saw what she was pretty sure was honest guilt on his face. "I... apologize to make you believe such things." She rolled her eyes, not taking a word he said for the truth. "But I assure you dear, I did not…"

She punched him. She just wanted to be left alone so she could sleep! Couldn't he see she wasn't feeling well? "Wai' a minute. How com you aren' sick no more?"

"I recover from any given ailment than a much faster rate than you mortal. It is one the many… perks, of having eternal life."

"Whatever." She shifted around, trying to find a new position of comfort. It didn't work.

"Ah, Raz darling?"

She didn't even bother telling him off anymore; why waste the oxygen? "What?"

"As much as I love our debates on life, I did not come here to argue."

"Oh yeah?" she droned, uninterested, slamming a fist onto her pillow a couple times, trying to make it comfier. "So… ya jus' showed up ta annoy me?"

"No, dear. Actually" something appeared in his hand, and she sat up just a bit, curious. It seemed his magic energy was replenishing. "I came to give you this."

She forced herself up as a pleasant, warm smell reached her. She sighed happily, mouth watering. "Smells like-"

"Chicken broth, yes." He clarified. "I researched a bit; this is customary, correct?"

"Uh…?"

"When one is sick, another will bring them hot brother, correct? Is that not a mortal custom?"

She laughed, clearing her throat. "Yeh, Ah guess ya could call i' that." As she reached to take the bowl, she suddenly found his hand on her forehead.

"Your skin is warm." He noted. His fingertips were cold and secretly felt very soothing on her feverish body. "More so than usual."

"Yeah, no' surprised." She settled against the headboard, taking the silver spoon and sipping the broth experimentally. It was piping hot, but felt good sliding down her raw throat. It was rich and full of flavor; though she hated to admit it, she enjoyed it. Her sips were small and slow, careful.

The temperature was not the cause of her actions, it was her body itself. Raz knew good and well she was naturally a vegetarian; her body wasn't made to consume meat or anything related. She was no stranger to the odd taste though; she was often served this very dish back home when she was ill. Gupta was always her personal chef when she was sick; as the only omnivore that actually had a brain, they trusted no one else. She'd learned the hard way she must be careful when eating anything related to meat; otherwise it would send her stomach into a fit and she'd be cursed to spend the next hour vomiting and dry-heaving.

"Are you pleased, my dear?"

"Yeah, iss' good." She agreed, placing the bowl aside before wiping her mouth. "Bu if ya don't mind, I'mmuna git some res. Ah still don' feel like m'self."

He nodded. "Understandable."

She was feeling even sleepier with the dosage of hot soup, and she was feeling particularly lazy. She fell back on the bed, and Zalim took the opportunity to lay the blanket over her, smoothing it out carefully, using a small bit of magic to fluff her pillow just right. She'd deny it later, but she enjoyed it. The comfort of the warm blankets and comfortable bed was enough to lull her to sleep in seconds.

Zalim smiled. "Goodnight, my dearest Raz."

Aw, isn't that cute? I'm sorry, I just had to do a cute care-taking scene! What can I say, I'm a sucker for fluff! Sue me!

Please don't sue me!
