A/N: I'M AHEAD AGAIN! XD I also read The Covenant of Primus, and it is amazing.
Autobotschic (AKA SPOILER GIRL): Did Shadow at least miss the optic? I know how she likes collecting those. XD
Answerthecall: I'd send the whole army. Hell! I'd send the Decepticons too! XD
Zrexheartz: Calm down! XD
A mech and femme stood worriedly inside an abandoned building. The mech paced back and forth.
"Garron, calm down. Pacing like that isn't helping anybody!"
"Calm down?" The mech turned and glared at the femme. "I'm supposed to calm down?"
"No, I want you wear a trench into the ground to save the fragging Autobots the time!" The femme growled.
Garron took a deep breath. "You're right. I'm sorry, Nia."
Nia smiled. "It's fine. Come here." Garron walked over to her, and took the position to her right. "Now listen. She is going to bring Barricade back. He won't have a scratch on his helm. If he does, Megatron will terminate us."
Garron groaned. "Pit."
"We did everything she said to. Everything will be fine. There is no reason for it not to."
"Why did she even need that fake file made anyways?"
Nia scoffed. "You are stupid."
Garron growled. "What the pit is your problem? We were responsible for that abomination, and we lost him! We could be terminated for this!"
"We could, but nobody is going to say anything. Are we?"
Garron sighed. "I'm not that stupid."
"Sorry if I don't believe you."
"GAR!"
Garron jumped at the voice. "Barricade!" He shot forward, pulling the youngling from Covenant's servos. "You're alright."
"I told you he would be." Covenant smirked.
The mech shot a glare to the femme. "You also said you'd take him directly to Megatron and tell him we lost Cade, if we tried to get him back."
"And you didn't try, did you?"
Nia stepped forward. "Covenant, you are getting reckless. Taking Barricade was dangerous, for us and you. He's the future of the Decepticons. An experiment created by Shockwave."
"I know." Covenant smiled. "That's why I had a short period time that I could do this. He won't be a youngling much longer, will he?"
Nia frowned. "How did you know that?"
"I… stumbled upon it when I was looking for way to do what was needed to do."
Garron growled. Nia nodded. "Who did you get him adopted out to?"
"Ironhide and Chromia."
"The mercs?" Nia smirked. "That is very interesting."
"Oh they aren't mercs anymore. From what I gathered in the data Barricade got for me. They're Autobots now."
"What other data did Barricade gather?" Garron asked. "As the scientists in charge of observing Barricade, we deserve to know."
"Everything he could find related to Silverstreak." Covenant smiled. "Which was a lot. I was impressed. Your experiment did well. You can tell Megatron, Barricade is a success."
Nia and Garron stared at the femme. Nia smiled. "Thank you. We will not tell him, but your words are kind. You understand his memories will be wiped of you, and whatever transgressed while you had him, yes?"
"Yes."
"We'll implant fake ones so he doesn't have a blank spot."
"I love how you say we." Garron mumbled.
"I meant we. Somebody has to fabricate the memories. You obviously don't have the skills for that."
Garron made an obscene gesture to the femme before walking away with Barricade in tow. Nia smiled before she turned back to Covenant. "You can go now."
"I can go?" Covenant laughed. "Funny. Hand it over." Covenant held out her servo. "You know what I want."
Nia smiled. "Covenant, you helped take great care of me, but you should really learn to trust me."
"I can't learn to trust somebody I taught to be untrustable. Hand over the chip."
"Oh, that." Nia smiled as she placed the chip in Covenant's servo. "You asked for the designations of the snipers Megatron wanted for his army. Silverstreak was on there, but it seems he's already turned Megatron down. He's definitely with the Autobots."
"I figured that. He's also part of the Helix group, and the Helix group has allied themselves with the Autobots. Hopefully the information Barricade got will tell me his real designation. I'm almost certain Ironhide and Chromia are close to him."
"Almost?" Nia asked.
"Almost. There's no one hundred percent certainty in anything anymore."
Nia nodded. "What did you do with the younglings in Kaon?"
Covenant rolled her optics. "They are being taken care of."
Ironhide and Chromia sat in their living room along with two enforcers. It didn't take long for them to get there after Prime made the call. The enforcers even had the decency to bring Chromia with them after she was arrested for beating up a bartender.
The first enforcer was blue and gray, a tall mech with a medium frame. "Enforcer Rollbar." He nodded.
The second enforcer was a minibot, and had already taken much abuse from Chromia. He barely came up to Rollbar's hip, and had a grimace on his face. "Huffer."
Ironhide nodded to the two. "I apologize for any Chromia did."
Chromia elbowed Ironhide. "You might want to speak up, Huffer can't hear you all the way down there."
Ironhide and Rollbar groaned. Huffer nodded. "Good one. Never heard that before."
Chromia smiled before turning to Rollbar. "How about you uncuff me?"
"I didn't cuff you in the first place. Those are Huffer's cuffs. Only he has the unlock code. Have fun with that, mam."
Ironhide smiled as Chromia's faltered.
Rollbar motioned to the couch. "May we sit? We have a few things to discuss with you."
Chromia nodded. "Sure. Ironhide, go get the stepping stool from the kitchen for the poor little mech. He might struggle getting onto the big bad couch."
"HA!" Rollbar quickly covered his mouth. "I'm sorry."
Huffer glared at Chromia. "I can get onto your couch by myself, thank you."
Rollbar sat down on the couch, and waited a couple of seconds for Huffer to climb up. Huffer sat with his back against the back of the couch, he legs weren't long enough to reach the end of the cushions.
Ironhide held back a smile as Chromia openly directed her gaze, and smile at the short, short mech. Rollbar expertly hid his smile, having been the mechs partner for a very, very long time.
Roll took a deep breath. "Okay, let's start. Before we left the station, after Prime's call, we looked up the youngling in our systems, hoping to get a picture to pass around to the public."
"We can give you a picture." Ironhide told the mech. "There's on right ov-"
"That's not the problem. We didn't find anything on the mechling, at all. He doesn't exist."
Chromia and Ironhide looked at each other. Ironhide turned back to the bots. "We just adopted him. There has to be a file on him."
"There isn't." Huffer added. "I checked myself."
"Are you sure you weren't too short to see the screen?" Chromia yelled.
Huffer growled. "I'm short not blind!"
"Chromia." Ironhide chastised. "Listen, Enforcers, there has to be something on him, medical records, something! Every mech on this base has seen him. He's real."
Rollbar nodded. "There's no record he was even brought online. We're looking into it. We're not saying he's not real. We'd never say that. We are only saying, Ironhide is Optimus Prime's body guard. Any number of bots want to take you down. Any number of those bots could easily come into ownership of a symbiote disguised as a youngling. I'd check your systems to make sure no information has been taken. We'll continue looking for the youngling."
Huffer slid off the couch. "Thanks for your time."
Rollbar sighed as he stood up. "I'm really sorry. We'll leave now."
Ironhide stood up as well. "Thank you."
Before the two left, Huffer turned back to look at Chromia, "You know, if you even care that this youngling is missing, you have some way of showing it." The two enforcers walked out of the small unit.
"Chromia, I-" Ironhide turned around to face Chromia sat on the second couch, her arms still contained behind her back.
She glanced up. "They didn't uncuff me."
"I know."
"They told me my youngling didn't exist, then tell me that I didn't care he was missing, and now they left me here cuffed."
"Yeah."
"Those fraggers! Don't even know how to do their slagging job!"
Bluestreak smiled as he and Prowl walked into the rec room. "Look! Sire, Charger, and Crypt!"
Prowl frowned as Synchro noticed them, and made a 'come here' gesture with his digit. "Bluestreak, perhaps we should ignore them."
"Why?" Bluestreak looked over to Prowl.
"Because Synchro isn't supposed to be out of Medical bay, and Ratchet will offline us if he things we helped him out."
Bluestreak opened his mouth before he closed it, and thought a moment. "I don't have any good reasons to not agree with you, except, I don't care." He shot Prowl a smile before releasing him, and running to the back of the recreation room.
Prowl sighed before he followed after in a much calmer fashion.
