The Malfoy had always been known as a prestigious outstanding noble and honorable pureblooded family for generations. Since even before they migrated from France during the French revolution. They maintained a reputation of being cold, emotionless people with sharp handsome features. Closed minded bigots who should evolve to the new ways of thinking.
Tradition was necessary to keep the history and ways of the wizarding world alive, too many muggleborns and halfbloods tainting the wizarding community. There is a reason most families distrust the muggle world, mostly it had to do with the witch hunts and burnings. Many pureblood families had to hide in secrecy from them blending into the background. Muggleborns young as seven captured and tied up at the stake, many apparated away automatically to another location, others were not as lucky and had no chance. Since the Malfoys were only few of the living families in France they struggled on. Eventually they had to move to england, adapting quickly to the environment.
The Malfoys learned never to trust anyone associated with muggles, they were a threat. The biggest and most dangerous threat because they might not have magic but they had weapons and resources. They allied themselves with other dark families like themselves, teaching their children dark spells, curses, incantations, runes, potions and alchemy. They were strict, brutally strict. Using the curses they taught on the heirs, teaching them emotions were a sign of weakness, never to trust anyone.
To only be self reliant, to control others with firm fear, that they never betray you. Lucius was no different, he was bred into the perfect heir, learning the ropes of an educated pureblood lord. His father choosing the proper wife for him to marry so she may breed the perfect heir. His father had picked Narcissa Black, the youngest of the Black sisters, she had a strange mixture of black and blonde hair, gray blue eyes, soft attractive features that all Black's inherit. She was a year younger than him, she was in third year when they met she barely reached his chest, her face gentle but masked, she was exactly the perfect mix of Bellatrix and Andromeda, she was brought up like a pureblood but she wasn't obsessed like Bellatrix but wasn't opposed to it like Andromeda. Neutral at heart Narcissa did not argue with the engagement but wasn't pleased either, Lucius could tell.
After her graduation they married, tradition and all, it was very much similar like Bellatrix's. Only she seemed pleased and happy to marry a submissive man who did nothing against her and let her do as she pleased. Both Lucius and his bride accepted the loveless marriage, though she began to fear the cruel man, delaying the procreation. Having Draco Malfoy eight years later, he was the only light in there life.
Narcissa coddled her newborn, she already loved him. She was her baby, sweet innocent baby who she didn't want to get involved with the dark lord and the war. He was only an infant, nothing like her cruel husband, except when the baby had a small tantrum. He was very adorable, even Severus fell for the infant's charm, doting on him when they were alone and he was sitting. Narcissa never knew of her husband's affection for his son.
Lucius had many things he hated, little things he liked and rarely had anything or anyone he loved. Narcissa and Severus were in the list of people he liked, they were the parts he was missing. The kindness that he never learned, that he never understood, even now years later. Draco was on the top of the list of people he loved. When he saw that small pink creature in Narcissa's arms, his features were soft, almost feminine, white blonde hair, a pink oval mouth opening in hunger showing raw red gums. He wailed loudly, the noise causing a strange painful feeling in his chest, he didn't want his child to be in such pain.
Since that day Lucius promised himself he would not show the same coldness his father showed him but he was going to teach him the Malfoy ways. He allowed Narcissa to raise him till Draco was four, when he was smart enough to understand what he would say. Draco was a sweet child, very cheerful energetic child, nothing like a Malfoy. In a way Draco had always been rebellious, it took longer for Draco to learn to be cold, he couldn't stomach the idea of hurting others. Though Lucius could see the need for his father's approval in his eyes, Lucius knew he had to do something about this, Draco was too vulnerable to the world, he had to harden his child so he began to ignore him. He would demean him when he did something slightly wrong, berate him when he found him making potions rather than practice his hand work and spells. Spoiling him rather than giving the affection Draco craved, needed to grow as a proper plans had worked, Draco had become a fine boy who was as bigoted, as cold hearted who behind a mask. Even now as Draco was an adolescent he still keep himself in check, a small crack on his mask, his true self occasionally showing itself.
That's why when Lucius busy writing to the Minister of magic Cornelius Fudge he was rather shocked to find a owl by the window holding a parchment from Crabbe and Goyle, a letter that had news that caused a stirring in his soul, something dark enveloped in him. His son, his pride was pregnant with Harry Potter's child. His lord's nemesis, the boy who took the man that was their only hope to rebuild the pureblood regulation and rules back to the wizarding community. The man who hated muggles as much as he did, believed in the same beliefs. Harry Potter was the boy who lived, an infant of one destroyed one of the most powerful wizards in the world without even knowing it. The brat had been a pain in his ass, with the diary and the house elf. He prevented the resurrection of Voldemort three times since he entered Hogwarts, he was the perfect light. It seemed twisted to have his son, Draco become impregnated by Potter, a personal slap in the face by his son.
Grabbing his quill and accio'ing a parchment he began to quickly write back to the two, they were both as intelligent as a rock but fairly shooed the brown barn owl and summoned his eagle owl, a regal proud bird, who had its beak up high waiting patiently for the parchment. He folded the parchment and attached it to the eagle owl who flew out the window in high speed. He was focused in his anger that he did not check his charms and so he wouldn't know that his wife had heard.
Draco glowered as he exited potions class heading towards the restroom, morning sickness. He opened the door, pushed open a stall, fell on his knees and vomited. Clutching the toilet seat, he felt the burning acid going up his throat, wrinkling his nose at the foul smell. He wretched one more time wiping his mouth, washing his hand on the sink he jumped when he realized someone was standing behind him. Brown eyes that belong to Neville Longbottom, his whole mannerism expressed how nervous and guilty he was.
Draco had the urge to turn around and scream at Longbottom for everything his stupidity had cost. To bring him down and make him feel like a worthless worm, to see sadness and regret in his eyes. But since his pregnancy something in him had...soften. It annoyed to see sadness in Longbottom, he wasn't going to befriend him, merlin no, he was just going to reassure him so he wouldn't see the dog kicked in the face look.
"Longbottom" the side of Draco's lips curled up when Longbottom jumped, the Gryffindor looked away.
"Malfoy" he greeted in a small voice, his eyes darkened in shame, Draco's eye twitched in irritation seeing him subdued.
Draco walked towards him, Longbottom tensed in preparation at whatever Malfoy had, draco pulled out a wand and cast a silencing charm so the other wouldn't talk.
Longbottom eyes widened "Longbottom you are an idiot" he smirked "well all Gryffindors are idiotic buffoons" he said, Harry popping up in his mind. "I will only say this once"
"Its irritating to see you in distress, I know shocking. I cannot have satisfaction if I don't verbally or physically harm you, its not as satisfying" he sneered " this doesn't mean that we will be friends that would be absurd, nothing has changed. Yes I blamed you in the beginning after all if it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't be in this situation"
He paused looking around, he locked the door "all right longbottom I'll tell you something but promise me you won't tell anyone. No one knows besides, Granger, Weasley, Blaise and Pansy. Its a secret between me and Harry" he took a deep breath, Neville stared at him blankly " after the class I learned that you mixed mermaid gill, anyways that infused with me and I can have babies. Harry and I had sexual intercourse and I became pregnant with his child. I am thankful and angry for what you did, I'm having the child of the boy I've liked for two years. I'm angry because, well because this pregnancy is making me emotional and that is making me angry"
Neville couldn't help but stare with anything but awe and shock, Malfoy was pregnant with Harry's kid? How did something like this be possible, he understood the potion changed Malfoy's anatomy but why Harry? Did they have a relationship they didn't know?
"You must be wondering about Harry, well we had a secret relationship at the beginning of this year, we would sneak around I guess it was something new and exciting because I know Harry doesn't feel the same way I feel for him" he trailed off, his eyes shined sadly. Neville stared at him, it was strange to see so much emotion in him, the cold Draco mask was slowly breaking.
Draco breathed in and out trying to rebuild his composure, he shouldn't act like this but he had to let a little bit of his emotions out occasionally so it wouldn't grow and explode. "What I told you today do not inform anyone else, later on as I grow then the headmaster will explain the situation to the school but meanwhile only a few know"
"So I won't harm you, I'll be civil and neutral towards you. As if we are strangers but only if you agree not to squeal, all right?" Neville stared at Draco, pensive, agreeing a moment later. Smirking he took off the charm "see you later Longbottom" draco said unlocking the door as he twisted a doorknob Longbottom spoke up.
"Don't lose faith, Harry isn't the type to have relationships without feelings" Neville reassured him, Draco glanced at him walking out.
Walking down the hall Draco slipped, he frowned falling on his ass ungracefully. Thank god no one was around. As he stood he spotted parchment in the floor, turning it around his eyes widened.
Lucius Malfoy,
We were in the diner hall when I saw Draco, Zabini and Parkinson sitting with Potter and the mudblood and weasley. We couldn't understand most of what theys said. Draco is pegnart pregnant. Potters' baby
Crabbe nad Goyle
Draco eyes widened, the two idiots had blabbed to his father. Oh my god. Draco began to panic, his heart beating fast, his breathing was shallow, he was struggling to breath. He clutched his chest trying to calm himself when he heard footsteps. His heart dropped when he looked back, His father, Crabbe and Goyle walked towards him. Their expressions deadly, especially Lucius who looked ready to do anything to his son, punishment for what he did.
"Draco" his father spoke, cold clipped voice, the voice he uses when he spoke to his victims. Draco remembered as a child when he would hide under the bed, covering his ears, trying not to hear the screams of whoever was in the dungeon. The screams and gasps echoed in every corner of the mansion, he still had nightmares.
"F-" Draco tried to say his father's name but he was hit by a 'stupefy', dropping back hard staring at the high ceiling. Crabbe and Goyle grabbed his arms and dragged him to where Lucius, both gripping Lucius cloak, Lucius apparating away. The tugging up his navel made him flinch, hopefully his baby would be all right.
Draco stared at his father, he was tall, pale features, dark demeanor. Draco was bound to a chair looking up at his father, his cane gripped tightly, his knuckles white. They were in the living room, the house elves were trying to work without noticing their master bound his own son. They were terrified of Lucius Malfoy at this moment, they never had seen such anger and disgust aimed at his son. He looked ruffled well dressed nobleman who had met his worst enemy, prepared to kill them.
"You disappoint me Draco" he shook his head his silver eyes menacing. "I thought i taught you better, I was lenient, I gave you freedom unlike previous predecessors. Whatever your heart desired, and this is what comes? Betrayal?" He sneered in the same manner Draco did to Neville, but with more cruel bite.
"I would expect this from others, the minister, my associates, even Narcissa but you" he shook his head "this is something I would never dream of"
"Father" he looked up at him, his heart aching, even now as he grew up he still craved his father's acceptance, his approval. He knew he should not feel this way, just give up on the love he would never receive, he was a naturally stubborn child.
Tears prickled at the edge of his eyes, "I did not mean for this to happen but you have to understand" he looked at him pleadingly "I like him"
"I don't want to, I tried to repress my feelings for him. I tried, I thought bullying him, mocking him and his friends would make my feelings go away but it only increased my emotions for him" he looked down "then it just happened. It bubbled up and spilled"
Not wanting to hear anymore more of this he cast a spell and knocked out his son, he slumped back his hair falling over his face. Lucius was brought back to a memory of Draco, when he was four years old and he was sickly, his white blonde hair would stick to his sweaty face, his cheeks flushed, eyes puffy. Shaking his head Lucius snapped his fingers, a small house elf looked at him with fear, he sneered at the ugly creature ordering it to take his son to the dungeon's.
Harry sighed, he felt worned out, his muscles ached from all the Quidditch practice, mind throbbing from trying to produce a patronus and failing miserably. He struggled to maintain a happy memory, it would fade in seconds replaced by other thoughts clouding His mind. Sirius Black wanting to kill him, Snape giving him more potion work, Draco's pregnancy. It all was too much to handle, and regular school work was so stressful for a 13 year old. Sighing once again he headed towards the common room. As he turned he saw a familiar person, Pansy Parkinson. Her black haired bobbed as she ran from student to student screaming, demanding them.
She turned her attention to Harry stomping towards him, she was small but very menacing. Harry shuttered and wondered what was it about girls that made them menacing without trying. He gulped when those black eyes narrowed dangerously "Potter" she snarled looking up at him
"Where is Draco?" She demanded, poking his chest "you haven't apologized for ignoring him. He's been moody since you didn't defend him in his fragile state"
Harry snorted, Draco fragile? Yeah right and Dudley had an IQ of 170. He could never see Draco as someone fragile and weak, he wasn't that type. Although there were moments when he revealed who he had emotion, hell he was insecure and bashful at times. Especially when they both lost their virginity, to Harry it was wonderful, something he had never felt before, a deep connection between to people, so deep and intimate. He was getting a little aroused but pushed it down as he was still in the presence of Parkinson.
"Potter are you listening to me?" She glared, crossing his arms "I said I hadn't seen Draco the whole day, usually he's in the library or watching the team practice" her voice was laced with concern, something he never heard from her.
"He's probably locked in his room or went to Snape to vent and scream" he shrugged, Pansy growled slapping his face.
"If something happens to Draco, it will be your fault and I will make you suffer" she walked away furiously. Harry stared at her, a chill ran up his spine, something told him that she may be right. Though he didn't want to admit, he reassured himself, Draco was probably just moping. Nothing bad could happen to Draco, despite being cowardly he was powerful in his own prospect, he was magically strong, the second smartest student in Hogwarts, cunning and he had ways with words. I'm sure if he was in a predicament he could handle well by himself.
Stretching his sore arms Harry walked up the stairs, giving the password to the fat lady, going into the common room and dropping on the bed. Snuggling on the soft and comfortable mattress, he groaned as his body relaxed. He placed his round glasses on the drawer and closed his eyes, smiling softly. He was excited to become a father, he always dreamed of a family, he always thought it would happen when he was older, out of school not like this. A woman, someone smart, level headed and strong willed. Not a rich stubborn boy who bullied him for two years, life sure was funny like that.
As he began to drift he thought he should sneak into the Slytherin common room and apologize to Draco. After all he was the 'mother' to his child, he also had to admit he liked Draco. He was a pleasant person when he didn't hide behind the Malfoy mask, almost cute the way he loved to cuddle in his arms. Harry wondered what the strange beating in his chest was, it was strange but not bad. He smiled one last time before slumber consumed him.
