"Jesus, Taylor. Pills?" Stef questioned her children when she entered the kitchen that morning. Jesus nodded indicating that he had already taken his pill today and Taylor just made a face and pretended not to hear. "Taylor." Stef warned.
Taylor sighed and nodded grabbing the bottle and shook it, "I'm on it." It had been almost a week since Lena had stopped Taylor from cutting herself, Lena and Stef agreed that after the last two incidents with Taylor that they needed to get her some help, they took her to a therapist who recommended anti-depressants to start with and a few sessions of therapy. "Done." Taylor said sitting back down shoveling down some more food.
"So what are you all up to today? Any first day of vacation plans?" Stef asked sitting down with her cup of coffee.
Jude smiled looking around the table, "Well, we were wondering if it would be alright for us all to go out together." Jesus nodded to Jude while Callie and Brandon rolled their eyes. When trying to convince their moms of something all the older kids agreed that Jude should ask, they would be more likely to say yes to him.
Stef nodded, "Mhmm, and what is that?"
"We were all going to go out and try to rollerblade, at the rink down the street. The six of us and some of our friends." Jude explained while the others tried to pretend they were ignoring what was going on.
Lena came and sat next to her wife, "What friends?" She asked teasing Jude, everyone had been teasing Jude about Kyle, Connor hadn't come around and was still being a jerk so Kyle had been talking to Jude more.
Finally Jesus gave in and started talking, "Lexi, Tayla, Abby, Wyatt, Garrett and Kyle. All the good kids, the ones who cook and clean to impress you." Jesus laughed at his siblings who all glared at him while he answered his moms.
"Sounds like fun." Lena noted. Stef nodded, "Maybe we should come join you, I was pretty good a while back." She teased.
"Please no." Mariana begged.
"Can we go?" Taylor asked.
Stef and Lena nodded at each other, "Sure."
The kids all cheered in triumph, "Sweet!"
Mariana grabbed Callie and Taylor, "Come on we have to go get ready!"
Callie rolled her eyes, "Please tell me we don't have to get dressed up for this too, not everything is a formal event, you know this right Mari?"
Laughing all the boys, Stef and Lena said to Callie, "Everything's a formal event with Mariana." Stef continued with, "Just wait until you go to prom, she'll be dressing you for hours." Callie could be heard groaning from the stairway where she was being dragged to her room.
"So, who's this Kyle kid?" Brandon questioned Jude while the boys were cleaning up from breakfast so they could get ready to leave. Jude smiled, "He's just a friend I met at the open mic thing Taylor goes to."
Jesus snorted, "Just a friend? I saw that video, this kid needs somebody to scare him because he definitely wants to be more than friends."
"Jesus! Don't taint your brothers mind." Stef and Lena called from the other room.
Brandon laughed as he handed a dish to Jesus, "Last one. Jude can you go get the girls? We need to leave sometime in the next century if we'd like to meet out dates."
"So, you and Wyatt? Huh, thought you guys were just friends." Mariana teased, "But looks like you invited him today, so are you guys dating?"
Callie laughed, "Sure, you could say that. Happy now Mari?" Mariana nodded vigorously while smiling evilly. "So are you two going to skate together today?" Mariana questioned further. Callie shook her head, "You're still not getting any pictures of us." Mariana sighed, causing Taylor and Callie to laugh.
Jude ran upstairs and knocked on the girls' bedroom door, "Mariana, Taylor, Callie! We need to go, Brandon's going to drive us." The three girls came out of the room, "Okay, are you three ready to go?" Taylor questioned. Jude nodded, "yep, and we did dishes."
"I call front!" Jesus called out as the kids filled into the car, Stef was getting ready to leave for work and laughed at all her kids trying to fit into one car. "Jesus, you're in back, let the two older ones be in front." Brandon jumped into the drivers seat and Callie climbed into the passenger side laughing at Jesus who was pretending to pout.
"Hey mom, don't watch we're going to be breaking the law." Mariana joked as she and her three other siblings climbed into the back seat. "There's way too many people in that car, somebody has to ride with momma. Have a good time. Bye babies." Stef called out backing out of the driveway, off to work.
"I'm out!" Taylor caved crawling out of the car, from left to right in the back seat it had been Mariana, Taylor, Jude, Jesus. "I'll have momma drive me and meet you guys there how's that?" She said once she had gotten out of the car. "I'll come with you Taylor, I don't like being stuck in the middle either." Jude said climbing over Mariana to get out.
Mariana's face suddenly lit up, "Oh I forgot we need to pick up Lexi, she said her mom couldn't give her a ride."
Brandon rolled his eyes, "Any other sudden changes in the driving schedule?" Everyone laughed and replied with a no. Jude and Taylor crawled into Lena's car and met their older siblings at the rink. "Thanks mama." Taylor said sing songy as she jumped out of the car.
"Hey Lexi." Jesus greeted his girlfriend with a kiss as she got into the car. Lexi laughed, "Hey everyone. Thanks for coming to get me Brandon." Brandon nodded and the group was off the the rink.
"Brandon!" Tayla exclaimed wrapping her arms around her boyfriend and kissing him real quick before greeting everyone else.
Taylor walked over to Abby and slipped her hand into her girlfriends. Kyle greeted Jude by just saying hello and Jude smiled nervously. Garrett and Mariana greeted each other with some inside joke and a hug. Wyatt gave Callie a quick hug. Lena who had gotten out of her car to give her kids some money to got in just laughed at her kids. "Okay, we need a picture of this, you're all just to cute."
With various groans from her own children and laughter from their dates Lena convinced them all to take a group photo. Brandon and Tayla, Wyatt and Callie were all in the back row, Mariana and Garrett, and Lexi and Jesus were the middle row and the first row was Jude and Kyle, and Taylor and Abby. Finally getting Lena to stop taking pictures the kids said goodbye and went inside to start their day.
Once getting inside Abby grabbed Taylor's arms, "Let me see." She said. Taylor was surprised, as was everyone in the group who just watched the two, "Let me see." Abby repeated. Taylor pulled up her sleeves, revealing her perfectly untouched arms. "Happy?" Taylor spit the words at her girlfriend. "I told you I didn't do it, I told you I was getting help. Trust me." Taylor turned to face the rest of the group, "Excuse me." She stalked off to the bathroom leaving everyone else in a state of shock.
"What's up with your sister?" Tayla asked Brandon as they put on their skates. Brandon sighed, "She's dealing with a lot, she's always had to deal with a lot. The other day it got to her." Tayla nodded but was surprised, Taylor had talked to Tayla since they day she joined the Foster household and never said a word that hinted that she was anything but strong. Brandon just grabbed his girlfriend's hand, "Let's just enjoy today alright?"
"So Jude, can you skate?" Kyle asked lacing up his skates. Jude laughed and shook his head, no. "I've never really tried."
Kyle laughed standing up, "I'll just have to help you then, if you don't mind of course."
Jude smiled and shook his head, "Yeah, I'm gonna need your help." He said trying to stand and almost falling over. Kyle caught him and stood him up straight, holding his hand. Jude smiled and almost fell again, causing Kyle to laugh.
"See you're awesome at this!" Kyle called out laughing as Jude followed behind him holding his hand to keep his balance. Jude smiled, "This is fun. Thanks for coming." Kyle nodded, "Of course, wouldn't miss a chance to hang out with you and your family. But mostly you."
Jesus was holding Lexi close to him, "See, you and Mariana are friends again, and I'm still in love with you." He whispered. Lexi laughed, "Oh Jesus."
Jesus looked at her, "Yes?"
Lexi rolled her eyes, "Come one we came to skate so let's go skate." Jesus led his girlfriend out to skate and let go of her to spin and try a trick. Lexi kept laughing at Jesus as he did tricks and laughed even harder as he fell over.
"Smooth move dude, got to teach me that one sometime." Wyatt said sarcastically as he and Callie skated by. Callie playfully slapped him, "Leave Jesus alone, it's not like you can do any tricks." Wyatt shrugged and agreed that he couldn't. Callie did a spin and started to skate backwards showing off causing Wyatt to glare at her and try to catch up.
"Taylor, I'm sorry." Abby apologized as she finished lacing up her skates. Taylor just nodded. Abby shook her head, "Taylor, I love you, don't you see that? I was hurt by what you did, I wasn't thinking straight. I'm sorry. Please Taylor, understand that I'd never forgive myself if you ever hurt yourself."
Taylor let go of the laces to her skates, "No one else knew. That's why I was so pissed. Did you have to do it in front of the rest of them. My moms told Callie and Brandon, that was it. I know you're worried but please don't bring any of it up. I'm getting help, you know that so please just leave it at that. And you have to do one thing to make it up to me." Abby nodded, she would do anything to apologize to Taylor. Taylor cracked a smile, "Tie these stupid skates, I can't get them to stay tied." Abby laughed but bent over to tie her girlfriends laces.
"So Jude, did that person ever come around?" Kyle questioned trying to lead Jude around once more. Jude shook his head, "No, why?" Kyle smiled, "Because that means I can be your knight in shining armor and make you smile instead of them." Jude rolled his eyes but laughed.
Meeting back up at one of the seats in the food area the kids all started laughing as Jesus once again tried to impress Lexi with a trick but fell over and tripped her in the process. They all sat there talking and joking, occasionally getting up to try another lap around the rink to skate. "So Kyle, Jude. You two like a thing?" Mariana asked teasing. Kyle shrugged, "That's my hope." Jude blushed causing all the older kids to burst out into laughter.
"How did we end up with this many kids for dinner?" Stef asked entering and seeing the twelve kids in her living room. Lena laughed, "They all came over after skating, I hope you don't mind." Stef laughed, "As long as they all go home at some point." She joked kissing her wife hello.
Lena laughed, "Aren't they all so cute?"
Stef laughed, "They've all been getting along for more than an hour?" She asked suspicious that there hadn't been any fights with that many teenagers. Lena looked slightly upset, "Abby and Taylor fought in front of the group about last weeks incident while they were out but other than that they've all gotten along."
Stef slipped her hand into Lena's and dragged her into the living room to join the group. "Hi." The kids all greeted them. Stef rolled her eyes, "This many teenagers in one room must be a formula for a nuclear weapon." She mumbled causing everyone to laugh.
