"Who is that woman?" Fu asked Freya as they came across a beautiful woman who wore various traditional layers of fabric under the yukata. Freya narrows her eyes as she looks at the woman more closely. Freya's expression quickly changes into nervousness. "Fu…That's a…" Freya begins to speak until the woman approaches them. "Oh, you cute girls can help me. I am looking for my brothers." The voice that FU and Freya expected to be feminine was genuinely male. Fu froze in shock and Freya tries to keep a straight face. "B-Brothers? They go here?" Freya asks after clearing her throat. "Why yes, thought to think I would meet actual humans from a different time-" The man said as he gave the girls a smile. "F-Fu…!" Freya said as she glances at the green haired girl who was now gone.
"That witch left me!" Freya almost shouted.
Fu ran through the Academy in search for Ane and Ceresei. Ceresei was in the Student Council room. She was with Apollon, Balder, and Thor. They were planning the next event. Ceresei was writing down the suggestions on a sheet of paper. Ever since that night, Apollon had been behaving normally and he was not clinging to Ceresei as much. Balder had been clinging to Ceresei in a passive manner. "So, the main idea to start off is with a play. I am not participating in it-" Ceresei was determined to not get involved in any more shenanigans. "I think we should-" Balder began as Fu slams the doors open. Everyone turns to Fu in surprise. Ceresei, on the other hand, was slightly irritated once more.
"There is another god! He has a pretty face!" Fu almost shouts before she catches her breath. "Another god is here? I wonder who it is. Zeus hasn't mentioned anything." Thor said. Apollon nods and Ceresei places the clipboard on the coffee table. "I haven't sensed any evil intent. Who might it be?" Balder questions. Everyone in the room took a moment to think. "Where is he?" Ceresei questions. "He's with Freya." Fu answers. Balder stands up to leave the room. "I will retrieve her," he says then makes his exit.
"You left her. Some friend you are right now," Ceresei scoffs as she shakes her head in annoyance. "That guy looked like a girl." Fu answers. Ceresei rolls her eyes to Thor then Apollon. Apollon shrugs his shoulders. Thor sighs. The room was quiet once again for a moment. "Let's go find them." Ceresei said.
Freya was walking with Akira. She was trying to find Akira's brothers while show him around the academy. Akira was the one who talked the whole time and Freya was the listener. The god would question the girl and toss a compliment in between. Freya was still embarrassed as she was left alone with him. Freya could understand why Fu thought of Akira being a woman. Akira is beautiful. Even his wardrobe added on to him appearing more beautiful. The two people were walking around as the various students' glance at Akira.
The female students exchange whispers and giggles. Freya was hoping someone would come to her aid. "Brother?" Takeru spoke as he and Tsukito exit a classroom. Akira had a smile on his face and it slightly fades as he sees Tsukito. "What are you doing here?" Takeru asks. Tsukito does not say a word. "Ah I came to visit. I was wondering how you were doing and I came across this lovely young lady. I didn't expect humans to live here. Are there any other ones beside Freya and the one girl?" Akira said. Freya did not speak as she did not want to interrupt the brothers conversing.
She sees Tsukito who was casually emotionless. She notices how Akira's smile faded towards him as well. "We are doing fine. And Freya is one of the four humans here. The rest of these people are souls," Takeru said as he included Tsukito in the conversation. "Freya is one of the human representatives. She is here to teach us how humans interact. Easier said than done." Takeru explains. Akira looks at Freya. Up and down. He did not expect Freya to be a representative. The girl looked plain. Freya was average height and thin. She did not have any specific features or special talents.
Freya was shy. "This girl is not bad looking for a human," Akira said with a teasing smirk. Freya was now feeling uncomfortable. "Sorry Freya," Takeru said and Freya shakes her head. "I-It's fine." Freya said. Takeru was concerned about the girl's nervousness. "Freya, can you show me around more? This school is fascinating." Akira suggests. Freya was about to respond, but Takeru answers in her place. "Freya is going to help Tsukito with his classwork. She's busy," Takeru said as he moves over to stand beside Freya. He pushes her gently to Tsukito's side. Freya gave a confused expression but gets the hint.
"Let's go Tsukito." Freya says with a nervous smile. Tsukito does not say anything but nods. Freya turns to Akira and bows politely. She then leaves. Tsukito follows her. Takeru and Akira watches them leave. Once Freya and Tsukito were gone. Takeru turns his attention to his older brother. "You flirt with a human and disrespect Tsukito again. If you want to stay here any longer for your so-called visit, then you better behave." Tsukito warns him. His tone was serious. "I am merely teasing. No harm done. Besides I want to know why these girls were chosen." Akira explains for the visit.
"Those girls are goddess incarnates." Takeru answered. Akira's smile faded. He remembered the incident. He was one of the few who knew about Demeter's decision. The goddess was expecting to die. "Will those girls die?" Akira asks. Takeru shakes his head, "One girl, Ceresei, is intending to keep everyone alive. These girls do not have recollection or knowledge of their past lives. It is probably not a good idea to remind them." He did not want any of the souls to tell the girls.
Tsukito and Freya were walking side by side. The two students walk in silence. Freya tries to think of something to say. She had been spending time with him and Takeru. Tsukito, however, was quiet majority of the times. Freya had guessed Akira was not fond of his brother. "So, Akira is your brother?" Freya spoke. "Yes," Tsukito answers. "He seems different from you and Takeru. Fu ran away when she realized Akira is a male." Freya adds as she sees Balder approaching them.
Balder has a smile on his face as he waves to them. "Miss Freya, Tsukito, I've been looking for you two." Balder says. "Freya and I are heading to the library to get our homework completed." Tsukito said immediately. He was determined to get his homework done. "Is it alright if I may accompany you two? I haven't started on my homework either." Balder said as he could not simply say that Ceresei indirectly sent him to find her. "Please," Freya says with a smile. Freya, Tsukito, and Balder begin to walk.
"You know, even though it has only been a few days…I'm having fun." Freya said as she glances at the floor. Balder looks at her and smiles. He sees the small girl's expression change in her eyes. She was happy that she was at a new school. More so a place outside her room. "What is your world like? Is it different from the others?" Balder questions as he could sense a happy tone coming from Freya's voice. "I just go to school and home. Unless it is a family-related event. I attend an all-girls' school. No males. Not even the teachers." Freya told her story.
"You seem to enjoy this lifestyle better. I am glad none of your girls worship me. No matter what I do the humans would praise me constantly. Loki and Thor were the only ones who treated me as a person," Balder explains.
The hours went by to all four girls sitting across from Akira in the dorm house's living room. Ceresei, Fu, Freya, and Ane were quiet. Akira did not speak either. The other gods including Zeus and Thoth were now present. Zeus, however, was in his "child" form. Thus, making the girls unsure who he was. "So, this male is a real male?" Fu asks. "Yes, my dear girl. My, all of you are cute. I didn't expect an actual human." Akira says, his lips curling at the edges. His comment has mixed reactions. Freya was nervous. Ceresei was annoyed. Ane and Fu were in disbelief.
"State your business. If it doesn't piss me off," Ceresei spoke. "She's a blunt one." Akira said with a smirk. He was interested in the hostile behavior. "This is Ceresei. She is the leader of the four humans. Her blunt behavior and attitude are normal." Thoth explains. "Her abilities are not. Akira better not test her or there will be trouble," He thought. "He is Takeru and Tsukito's older brother. Akira is visiting for the day," Zeus explains.
His child-like appearance was irking Ceresei's nerves. "If that's the case…Freya," Ceresei had a plan. More so an idea. She was not going to play hostess. Not again. Freya gasps and immediately looks at Ceresei, "Y-Yes!" "Please be Akira's guide for today. Fu and Ane are busy with teaching the boys how to properly study while I'm stuck with student council business." Ceresei said as her demeanor changes to being calm.
Freya looks at Akira who was giving her a smile. She then looks at Takeru and Tsukito. "We'll be with you" Takeru said. Tsukito nods. Freya looks ack at Ceresei and nods. She was not sure of how this would end. "Okay," Freya said in agreement to the situation. "Since Freya is your guide then you should follow my rules. No harassment, no trespassing, and no pissing us off. I don't need another headache." Ceresei stated. "I know you're the reason why the weather changed the other day," Zeus says as he narrows his eyes. The god has a smile on his face. "It has only been a few days and you are the first to awaken. Are you sure you can make everyone graduate?" Zeus questions.
Apollon did not like hearing what his father had to say and he stood up, "Sei-san can do it. We are here for her. Please father, don't tease her." "I don't know why you're getting defensive over a child, boy. They are to stop that incident then go home." Thoth said as he did not like Apollon having a voice. Apollon fell silent. "Excuse me old geezer. Us children can handle this task. We know it isn't a game and giving us crap about it won't solve shit. Go do some office work," Fu said. A grin crept upon her face.
Thoth narrows his eyes. He was not in the mood to deal with Ceresei, let alone Fu. "Looks like you met your match Thoth," Loki teases. Before Thoth could respond, Zeus stood up. "It's settled. We'll leave you alone." He said then leaves the room. Thoth glares at Fu and Ceresei then leaves. "I'm sorry Sei-san," Apollon said, he felt defeated. "Don't worry about it. I can handle your father," Ceresei said. "We all won't fail." Ane added. Apollon smiles and nods. "Ah Akira, please allow me to show you around once more Freya said as she did not want to have Akira bored. Akira stood up and gave Freya a pleasant smile.
"Please lead the way. To have a beautiful guide is sure to be interesting." Akira says, and he takes a hold of Freya's hand. Freya's body stiffens as she was now nervous again. Akira happily leads the way and escorts Freya out of the room. Tsukito and Takeru follow them. As Freya is the supposed "guide", Akira had her being lead around. Takeru did not like how Akira had a hold on Freya. He knew this was a mere act. Akira was only behaving this way to taunt the girls. Or more so see Tsukito react. "Please let me go." Freya says as she snatches her hand away. She was not trying to be rude but for a stranger to drag her like this was not acceptable.
"I can show you around without you holding my hand. I will show you the classrooms first. Humans are taught academics." Freya began to explain the different rooms in the academy. Akira keeps his hands to himself. "So, this is how humans take on education…interesting. I didn't expect humans to evolve like so. Even your clothes are not traditional." Akira spoke in amusement.
Takeru and Tsukito carefully watch their older brother. "He's only here to be nosy. These girls are going to deal with some trouble." Takeru whispers to Tsukito. Tsukito nods in silence. He was concerned for Freya being an easy target. Her innocent demeanor made her a perfect target for Akira to test. "Humans do dress differently due to their cultures and so forth. However, in this academy we wear uniforms." Freya explains to Akira. He becomes excited, "Can I swear one like yours?" Freya hoped he meant the uniforms his brothers wore. She gives him an awkward smile and leads him and the two younger brothers to the school store.
It was everyone's first time inside the store and Freya was surprised to see everything she possibly needed in one large room. From text books to food ingredients. The school store had two floors. Every item sorted in the proper groups. The shelves and displays were neatly arranged. The blue carpeted floor was clean. Freya walks around the store. She was in awe. "Welcome!" A soul, a young woman who has curly auburn hair and blue eyes, spoke. She stood behind the counter, "If you need anything just ask!"
"Um, a visitor would like to try on a uniform. I need a male uniform." Freya said as she glances over at Akira. The woman nods seeing Akira's beautiful face. "A men's…?" The woman asks making sure she heard Freya correctly. "Yes." Freya replies. The woman walks around the counter and guides Akira to the uniform section. "Hey, are you okay?" Takeru asks Freya. Freya nods. She needed to prove herself that she could handle this. "Tell us if you need any help. He usually isn't this touchy with humans." Takeru said.
Freya smiles. She was happy that they cared. "I don't have siblings so seeing you two together and now with your older brother is new to me." Freya said. Tsukito and Takeru were surprised to hear the girl say such things. "What is your family like?" Takeru asks. "Well," Freya began but Akira interrupts the conversation. He happily walks over to Freya and shows her the uniform he currently had on. "Such a cute outfit. I can see why you look adorable." Akira shows off his uniform and Freya could only chuckle.
"Though, the skirt is a bit too short. You should wear formal attires." Freya almost jumped as Akira tugs at her skirt. Immediately Freya slaps his hand away. "No touching!" Freya said as she straightens her skirt. "Oh please, you are adorable. You can try something more traditional. Miss, can you provide a yukata for the lovely girl?" Akira requested. He places his hands on Freya's shoulders. He pushes Freya away from his brothers. "Ah no! I'm fine. I don't need to wear one!" Freya tries to protest as Akira was taking control.
"Please stop brother. Freya does not want to wear a kimono." Tsukito spoke up. "Oh, it won't harm the girl." Akira says as he continues to push Freya away. The woman laughs nervously unsure of what to do. "Tsukito, help!" Freya calls out to him and Tsukito walks over to her. The look Freya had on her face was shock as Tsukito snatches the girl from his brother's grasp.
Tsukito had his hand on Freya's arm. He pulls her behind him as if she was to be protected. Akira gives his younger brother a look of displeasure. "Freya is not interested in your antics. Leave her alone." Tsukito spoke in a stern voice. Freya looks at Tsukito then at Akira. She did not want to cause trouble for them. "I am only joking with the dear girl," Akira said. Tsukito was not going to accept Akira's answer. "He is right Akira," Takeru said. Akira playfully pouts and folds his arms across his chest. "I think Freya would be better off in my presence." Akira said in confidence.
"I am better off being treated with respect." Freya spat before she runs out of the store. "Tsukito, go after her." Takeru said to Tsukito. Tsukito nods and leaves his older brothers alone. Freya ran far away to only be left alone. She could not handle the awkwardness, mostly hers. The girl hid herself in the library. She needed some time to herself. Freya took a soft breath and walked up the stairs. She noticed the small orbs of light floating around the room.
"This place is always peaceful," Freya spoke to a book as she saw Melissa reading a book on the floor. The doll looks up to see Freya. "F-chan, you look sad. Is something on your mind?" Melissa asks as he stands up. Freya shakes her head and smiles. "I just needed some fresh air." She tries to skip the details. "I know something is wrong. Well, do you need help with anything?" Melissa could tell something was not right. Freya hesitates to say anything, "Have you ever- "
"Freya are you in here?" Tsukito's voice cut Freya off. Freya walks over to the stairs. Tsukito looks up at the girl. "Do you want to get something to eat? Takeru is keeping Akira busy…" Tsukito spoke. Freya glances at Melissa. "Are you hungry?" She asks Melissa. "Yes, I am." He answers. Freya gives Tsukito a nod and she walks over to Melissa. The doll leaps into her arms and Freya holds him. She heads down the stairs. "I'm sorry for Akira's behavior. I didn't want you to be a target." Tsukito said as he waits for Freya to exit the library.
"Miss Ceresei please do not fight Akira." Balder holds Ceresei back as she was angry. Takeru told her what happened to Freya and Tsukito. Takeru had to stand in front of Ceresei to prevent her from beating his older brother. Ceresei was livid. Balder had his arms wrapped around her waist. He held onto her tight because he could tell she had no trouble getting physical. "Sei-san please calm down. Tsukito is taking care of Frey-chan, right Takeru?" Apollon said. "Yeah. Tsukito is looking for her." Takeru agrees.
Ceresei looks at Apollon then Takeru. Once her eyes met Akira's, the girl was back to wanting to fight the god. "Brother, this one is cute when she's feisty. Maybe a kiss can calm her down." Akira teases. Ceresei's expressions becomes twisted in disgust. Balder's gentle expression changes to seriousness as he tightens his grip on the girl. Ceresei could feel it. It was stern but not painful. Fu steps in between Akira and Ceresei. She has a crooked smile on her face. "I can handle your pretty ass, but for your sake you better apologize. Or Balder might actually kill you." Fu said. Akira sees the irritated look Balder had on his face. The god of light was not happy now.
Freya and Tsukito along with Melissa were inside an empty classroom. They sat at the desks. "You saved me from your brother. I'm very sorry for being weak. I never dealt with the flirtation." Freya said as she places Melissa on the desk. Tsukito was eating a sandwich in silence. Him standing up to his oldest brother was new. Standing u for a human was a shocker. He did not want Freya being a victim of his brother's antics. More so the physical harassment becoming sexual. Tsukito saw Freya as a kind girl who was troubled by this situation.
Tsukito shakes his head. He was determined to not let Freya feel down. She did not mean any harm. "Freya, could you stay here longer? I…" Tsukito began to speak but he could not finish the sentence. Freya was human. She had a life outside of here. "Tsukito?" Freya wanted to know what he was trying to say. Before Tsukito could say another word, Akira barges in the room. Ceresei, Takeru, and Balder stand behind him.
"My dear Freya," Akira saunters to Freya's side. Tsukito, without a second to think, quickly stands up and takes Freya by her hand. He pulls her up and away from his oldest brother. "T-Tsukito." Freya could not tell what he was thinking. His actions were bold. Akira looks at Tsukito in acknowledgement. "Brother, you shall leave Freya alone. Give her and the girls respect. IF you refuse then there will be an issue." Tsukito spoke up. This newfound assertiveness was surprising for everyone. "I see that you are protective of this girl. She does care for you. I believe these feelings are more." Akira said. His words made Tsukito and Freya blush.
Ceresei knew that the relationship between a god and a human may not work. Not in this situation. Though this was not her problem, Ceresei still had a goal to complete.
