Chapter 23: Tania Possessed?

Gohan's P.O.V

"Gohan, this is going to take some time, so I need you to go into the other room with Tania until I get the results... alright?" Bulma asked.

Nodding my head, I exited the room and walked into the spare room Bulma told Tania to relax in and saw her sitting on a bed looking a bit worried.

"Gohan..." She greeted me. "There's something wrong with me..."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm fading away..." Tania stated.

"Fading? You're not fading." I tell her with confidence. Tania gave me a blank expression and stared at her palms.

"But Gohan.."

"Here, maybe you should get some sleep. Bulma says getting your results will take awhile."

Closing the light then shutting the door, I strolled into the living room and took a seat on the couch. I wasn't alone for too long since Vegeta walked by giving me an irritated look.

"The girl is different," The saiyan prince says with an unusual calm tone in his voice. "I can sense something off about her."

I didn't reply and got up off of the couch. Suddenly a scream pierced through our ears. Vegeta glared at the room Tania was in and began to walk towards it. I pushed my way into her room and saw that she was laying unconscious on the floor.

"Tania?"

Scooping her up into my arms, I tried to wake her up. No luck...

"I heard a scream..." Bulma says after she catched her breath. The scientist took a look at Tania and gasped. "Gohan, is she alright?!"

"I don't know.." I replied while looking at her. "She's still alive, but there's something not..."

"WATCH OUT YOU IDIOT! THE GIRL ISN'T HERSELF!" Vegeta shouted at the top of his lungs.

All of a sudden as I felt an increased surge of negative energy, Tania had tried to throw a strong energy blast at me, but only managed to burn the left upper side of my purple gi. I released her and backflipped next to Vegeta.

When I looked behind me, half of Capsule Corp and West City was burning down in flames. Bulma had fainted as soon as she looked at what Tania had done.

"All those people!"

"I'm going to..." Tania muttered. "K-Kill y-you all!"

Vegata's and my eyes widened in shock from what we supposedly heard. There was an evil aura forming around her body as she got into her stance. When I looked into her eyes it had changed to a dark brown to a bloody red.

"Why?" I asked. "Why are you doing this Tania?"

"She's being controlled." A familiar voice predicted.

I looked to my right to see Piccolo glaring at Tania.

"Piccolo!"

"Hey kid." He says with a smirk before taking a look at Vegeta. "Hmph, so you're here too... i'm not surprised."

Vegeta tsked and stared straight ahead. The evil emanating from Tania's body had gotten stronger and full of energy. I knew that if we were to fight her, this wouldn't turn out so well.

"Listen..." Piccolo demanded. "Tania is being controlled by Eternal. Her strength is far beyond ours when Eternal's power is aiding her! If we were to fight her in our current levels, we would most likely end up dead."

"That girl is merely just a weak human girl! She can't possibly think that she can kill an elite saiyan prince!" Vegeta announced with a cocky attitude.

Piccolo easily became angry at Vegeta's arrogance.

"Vegeta! Stop being so cocky and listen for once! You know as well as I do that the strength that Tania possesses now is well outclassed that of our own. She'd kill all of us in a matter of minutes even IF we were to maximize our power all together!"

Finally, after Piccolo had spoken the truth, Vegeta had clenched his fist and gritted his teeth.

"Gohan?"

"What is it?"

"We need to leave now and do intense training in the time chamber if you want to have any chance of saving her." The Namekian demanded.

The wind began to blow immensely as Tania began to form another deadly energy blast, but except this time it was much stronger. I didn't know that she had that much strength in her... it's overwhelming.

"GOHAN! VEGETA! WE'LL GET KILLED IF WE DON'T MOVE NOW!" Piccolo shouted with a voice full of panic. To hear him sound like that worried me a little. Still though, I can't leave Tania alone.

Finally when Tania unleashed her blast, it began to face towards the sky and soon Tania dropped to her knees, clenching onto her head in terrible agony.

"Get out of here..." She mumbled as her eyes flickered from red to brown. I jumped next to her, only to be pushed away. "Get out of here Gohan... I don't know how long I can manage her off."

"No! I won't leave you." I argued. Piccolo and Vegeta stood there not knowing exactly what to do now since Tania was fighting control over her body. I didn't want to leave Tania by herself. Wait, hold on...

"Piccolo, hurry I have an idea! We need to get to Korin's before it's too late!" I yelled.

Piccolo looked at me in suspicion, but after hearing me say Korin, he knew exactly what I was thinking.

"Yes, why haven't I thought of that before? Gohan do you honestly believe it'll work?"

I shook my head. "No, I have no idea if it will or not? All I know is its our best option for the time being. trust me."

Looking back at Tania, I gave her a small smile and lifted her up in my arms.

"Hey Tania..." I say trying to get her attention. "I need you to keep fighting alright? Just until we give you something. You might feel better after words okay?"

"Y-Yeah"

"We're pretty far from Korin's tower, so we're gonna have to move fast you guys." Piccolo announced before ascending into the air and taking off at top speed. Vegeta tsked, but also ascended into the air right behind Piccolo.

Before leaping into the air, Tania clenched onto my shirt and began to gasp for air. "Hurry G-Gohan, I-I really can't resist f-for too l-long."

Nodding my head, I leaped into the air, flying at maximum towards Korin's tower. On the way over there, Tania's life force was beginning to fade rapidly. Worried, I went ahead and Turned into the second level of a super saiyan and was forced to pass Vegeta and Piccolo, who also felt the plummet of her energy.

Soon, I made it to Korin's tower and settled her down on the ground.

"Woah! What happened to that chick?" Yajirobe asked shocked as Tania layed there struggling to breathe.

"Yajirobe where's Korin? I really need to ask him something."

"Oh, he's with Dende right now. He said he had some business to take care o-"

Picking up Tania, I left Korin Tower and flew up towards the lookout on the search for Korin and Dende. When I got there they both ran up to me and asked me how Tania was completely aware of knowing what's going on with her.

"Korin, Dende, do you still have the sacred water from a while back?" I asked in great concern.

"Yes, we do. but there's not that much left i'm afraid." Dende answered. "It won't be enough for Tania. Whoever is controlling her is very powerful. The sacred water will only help to fend the mind-controlling off for about two days. After that i'm sorry to say that we're doomed."

I looked at Tania relieved. At least we have two days until she loses control again. Hopefully a day in the hyperbolic time chamber will be enough to make me stronger than ever before.

"Hear that Tania? You'll be able to rest for two days safe up here with Dende."

"Here Gohan, make Tania drink this." Korin insisted, handing me the sacred water. I grabbed the bottle and brought Tania's lips towards the bottle like a baby and told her to drink. After she did this, her life force went back to how it was before and she felled asleep in my arms.

Mr. Popo then came walking up to me and offered to let him take Tania to a nice cozy bed so that she'll get the rest she needs.

"Thank you Mr. Popo."

"I see that you saved the girl from certain death." Vegeta witnessed after he and Piccolo finally made it to the lookout. I turned around and smiled. "For now she'll be okay, but in two days she won't be feeling so good."

"So you mean the sacred water didn't work?" Piccolo asked a little surprised.

"No." Dende replied. "However, atleast it had some sort of effect to it. You have enough time to train in the time chamber for a day and maybe train out here for another day."

"Vegeta, please stay here and watch Tania for me okay?"

"Hmph, I don't take orders from you." The saiyan responded negatively.

"Thank you." I say anyways knowing that he'll do what I asked of him.

"Let's go kid." The Namekian suggested with a smirk. I nodded and smiled. I will get strong enough to protect the woman I love.
