Chapter 29: Search For The Seven Magical Dragonballs Part One
My eyes opened, only to see blurred faces looking down at me. It only took a few more seconds for me to see clearly and to recognize that the person who was watching me was the very same boy who knocked me unconscious. Gohan.
I sprung off the ground and got into a defensive stance. "What are you trying to pull now?!"
"Woah, hold on now," He says with his hands out in a stopping motion. "I'm not going to hurt you."
I looked around to see that the others were there with him. Each of them giving me an expecting look. Gohan gave me a cheesy grin that made me feel that whatever he was saying was true. I dropped down my guard and softly smiled.
"Hi!" I greeted them. Some of them also said hello back while Vegeta just crossed his arms and looked the other way with a angry expression. Piccolo just looked at me without saying anything.
I remembered what I had done to them and apologized to each of them. Everyone except for Vegeta had forgiven me for what I had done. Oh well..
"Why do I feel so kind and innocent right now?" I asked.
"It's because I purified your heart so you woudln't want to do anything bad to anyone good anymore." Gohan answered, still continuing to grin.
"Thank you, I guess."
"Tania?" Krillin called. "Can you remember any one of us?"
I observed everyone and shook my head. "Sorry, but I really didn't know any of you until when we fought."
They lowered their eyes. "Oh."
Suddenly I had sensed something and went to find what I was feeling. I had floated into the air, flying up higher to another place. I landed on some nice white tiles and began walking over to the big palace.
"Wait! Where are you going?" Gohan asks as he followed me along with Trunks, Krillin, Piccolo and Vegeta.
"I have a strong feeling that something is in there. I just don't know what it is, but I can sense it."
Entering into the building, I followed my senses and went into a room that had a glowing orange star ball with six stars on it. I picked it up and stared at it not very interested.
"Oh," I sigh disappointed. "It's just a glowing ball, how boring."
I then tossed it behind myself and turned around to see that Trunks had caught it as if it was the most precious thing in the world.
"Why did you toss it like that?" He asks after settling it in his hold.
"Because, it wasn't anything special." I answer.
"That was a dragonball you tossed carelessly though." Krllin responded.
"So what? It's not like they have any special powers or anything."
"Actually Tania," Gohan speaks, "They do have powers."
My eyes widened a little and I snatched the orange ball out of Trunk's hands.
"Hey!" He whines.
Shaking the ball, I ordered it to do something. "Unleash your powers piece of stone thing!"
"That's not how it works!" Vegeta yells with an attitude. I stopped what I was doing and replied with an "Oh."
"Well then, what does this thing do?"
"It grants any wish you desire." Piccolo answers. My face lit up after hearing the good news. "Really?!"
He smiled and nodded. "You have to gather all seven of them for them to work then after that, you can have any two wishes granted."
"That's amazing!" I comment, jumping in the air with joy. The warriors smiled at me.
"She doesn't have her memory back yet, but her personality is restoring to how it was." A short Piccolo look-alike says as he and a few other people walk in behind us with a relieved expression.
"Big brother!" A toddler shouts as he made his way over to Gohan, hugging him as if he hasn't seen him in centuries.
"Goten!" Gohan greeted the kid as he allowed the kid to jump on him. "How have you been kido?"
"My baby!" A older woman screams as she latched herself onto Gohan after he set the little boy down.
"Mom?!" Gohan asks, "What are you doing here?"
"Dende told me what happened." She answers sobbing. "Are you alright? You're not hurt are you?"
"No, i'm fine."
I laughed a little after seeing that. The woman then looked at me then ran up and hugged me. "Tania! It's not true is it?!"
I shifted uncomfortably. "What's not true?"
"That you forgot my baby boy." She cries after finally releasing me and looking me in the eyes. I didn't know what to tell her. I felt bad, but I really don't remember meeting him until just earlier.
"You really did f-forget Gohan!" She sobbed even harder. "I really believed you two were gonna get married to each other! Didn't you promise me that darling?"
"WHAT?!" Gohan and I shout in complete embarrassment.
"Ya, that's what you told me when you, Bulma, and I went shopping to get you a really pretty outfit so that you can impress Gohan."
I blushed. Did I really promised her that?
Looking at Gohan, I saw as he was staring at me with a slight blush, but then quickly looked away as soon as I saw him.
"Come on Chi Chi," Another woman with short blue hair speaks as she walked up to us, hands on hips. "You know she didn't say anything like that. Don't use her memory loss to your advantage."
"Your right Bulma..." The woman known as Chi Chi sighs as she lowered her eyes. "I'm sorry Tania."
"It's fine." I accepted. "Really."
"But don't give up on the two just yet Chi Chi." Bulma winked. "I also have the feeling that those two will come by, don't worry about it. Don't you think Krillin.?"
The bald man began to snicker as he wrapped his arm around Gohan's neck despite being a lot shorter, using his fist to mess with his hair. "I think so, besides, this one was the one to reveal to eighteen that I liked her. Weren't you?"
"Ya, but I said I was sorry." Gohan whined while squirming to get out of his punishment hold.
Everyone began to laugh with Piccolo and Vegeta smirking.
"We have no choice but to use the dragonballs to restore Tania's memory." Piccolo suggested. Everyone but me nodded their head in agreement.
"That's what I was thinking." Krillin announced. "Don't you find it strange though.."
"Find what strange." Trunks questioned.
"That Tania managed to find a dragonball without the knowledge of knowing that it was even here in the first place."
"I do..." Trunks agreed.
"Does that mean she can sense the dragonballs?" Vegeta asks in disbelief.
"I believe so Vegeta." Piccolo replied. "And if she really can, we can use that to our advantage."
"Wonderful!" Bulma commented, smiling at me happily.
"So how about it you guys?" Gohan speaks with assurance. "How about we go dragonball hunting."
"I have my dragonball radar with me. Actually I brought a lot of them." Says Bulma as she pulls out a device, proceeding to click it on. "I say go for it."
"We should split up into teams and search for them." Piccolo stated, giving his input.
"I agree." Trunks commented. "It'll be a lot faster."
"Alright. Does everyone agree to this?" Mr. Popo asked us all.
We nodded.
"The best way to allocate teams though will be randomly generated, basically we will be literally pulling names out of a hat." Mr. Popo said.
With a poof a hat appeared into his hand.
"This hat contains tickets with all of your names on it. I will draw out two names for each group. These will be your teams..." Mr. Popo said, making eye contact with everyone then pulling out the tickets from the hat.
He let them drop onto the floor below us into a neat, ordered pile, and it became apparent who was part of 'group one'
Krillin and Piccolo
After that, he let the rest of the tickets fall out and we saw the rest of the teams.
Gohan and Trunks
Vegeta and me
Bulma and Goten
Chi Chi with a boy who looked like Trunks but shorter
And Lastly, Master Roshi and Oolong
"That's the team that was selected randomly.
"Good." I smiled excited, flying full speed towards the end of the lookout. "Hurry Vegeta, I can sense one nearby!"
"I wouldn't do that if I were..." Vegeta shouts right before an electric shock came rammaging through my body. I fell to the ground with electricity still apparent on my body.
"You.." He finished.
Gohan came flying over, asking if I was okay.
"Why is there a barrier surrounding us?!" I shout angry. "You guys could've mentioned that before you know!"
"Sorry." Dende apologized. "I putted that there so that Eternal and Cell wouldn't be able to find us. I was about to break it the re put it up once you guys left."
"Eternal? Cell?"
I then shrieked. " I can't believe I forgot! We have to hurry and collect the dragonballs! They're planning to do something very horrible."
"What is it?" Gohan asks worried.
"Dende just release the barrier immediately!" I yell, completely ignoring Gohan's question.
"Alright I will." He says as he stretched his palms forward and broke off the barrier.
With that, I flew full speed into the sky, towards the direction where I was sensing one of the dragonballs. I looked behind me to see that Vegeta was right behind me arms crossed with a blank expression.
I have to hurry!
