Sheldon stayed at the house for the rest of the day and didn't go home until nearly 8pm, he knew he was pushing Amy with the intimacy and not wanting to push it too far decided to go home for the evening, Amy dropped him off and they shared a long lingering kiss in the car that was only interrupted by Leonard knocking on the window making the two of them break apart quickly, he had a pizza box in his hands
"Things going well with you and Amy then? Asked Leonard as they walked up the stairs together
"You could say that, are you going to come in for a while? Asked Sheldon as they reached their floor
"Maybe tomorrow night buddy, am I driving you to work in the morning?
"Yes, Amy said she was going in early, too early for me"
"Sure, see you tomorrow then" Leonard turned and went into 4B leaving Sheldon staring longingly after him
On Monday, Amy was called into a meeting with President Siebert and Faisal for news regarding his proposal
"Now I have spoken to the board and they are happy to go ahead with your proposal, when were you thinking of doing this? Asked Siebert
"I think February would be a good time, I will choose which students and Doctors to send over, I think we should keep it to a small manageable number though" replied Faisal
"Which is? Asked Siebert
"10 students and two doctors, also I will be making a yearly donation to this university of $250,000, I know it will be well spent" replied Faisal
"That's very generous of you" replied Siebert
"Well you have Amy to thank for that, she is very talented and you are lucky to have somebody like her" said Faisal as Amy blushed in delight
"I know and she certainly gives us good representation on her travels" replied Siebert as the meeting came to an end
After the meeting Amy left work early and she and Faisal went for late afternoon drinks at the Four Seasons where he was staying before he left in the evening to fly back to Saudi
On Tuesday, Amy and Sheldon met for dinner with the rest of the group at the Cheesecake Factory, Penny who had a string of auditions had taken to doing shifts there for extra money was able to join them for dinner as her shift just ended, the group noted how touchy feeley Sheldon and Amy were with each other and how comfortable Sheldon seemed to be with it and how it was Sheldon initiating it
On Wednesday, Amy met Sheldon for lunch in his office and to tell her what the plan was for the evening, though not before he locked the door and they had a kissing session in his chair
"So what time are we leaving? Asked Amy as she sat on Sheldon's lap and reached under his shirt to play with his nipples, making Sheldon shiver at her touch
"530pm, I will come to you and pick you up"
"Are we driving?
"Well you will be yes but I will give you directions" replied Sheldon as Amy's fingers wandered down to his trousers and she undid his zip, he was enjoying lunch very much
"Sadly my lunch time is over, I have a meeting in 10 minutes" said Amy as she fondled his arousal
"Cancel and stay here with me" mumbled Sheldon as Amy continued to caress him
"We can continue tonight back at your place" suggested Amy climbing off him and readjusting her clothing
"Your coming back to mine?
"Yes just for a bit" Amy helped Sheldon up and gave his arousal one more fondle and kissed him with passion before she had to go
"See you tonight Amy"
Sheldon after letting Amy out went and sat back down at his desk, his mind unable to think of anything but Amy wriggling on his lap, he wouldn't be able to get rid of his erection now, he decided to go and work from home and get rid of his "problem" in private instead
Sheldon wanted to treat Amy to somewhere special and had booked a table at one of the best restaurants in Hollywood, he was dressed snazzily in a navy blue suit and had text Amy to dress smartly, he then persuaded Leonard to drive him to Amy's and stop for flowers on the way
Sheldon knocked on Amy's door and Amy let him in, they greeted each other with a lingering kiss like they hadn't seen each other for such a long time
"These flowers are for you" said Sheldon passing the flowers over
"Thank you, I could get used to this, you look lovely by the way, very smart" replied Amy who was wearing a knee length blue dress accentuated with her pink cardigan
"I almost wish we could just stay here for the evening" said Sheldon giving her a look that she recognised
"Well that would be nice" started Amy before being kissed by Sheldon
"Come on we should go, head towards West Hollywood and I will tell you when we are there"
"What's at West Hollywood?
"You will see" replied Sheldon taking her hand and leading her out to the car
An hour later they arrived in West Hollywood and Sheldon directed her to a nearby car park, he paid for the ticket and then took Amy to a restaurant across the road
"You're bringing me here? But it's expensive" exclaimed Amy as they stood outside Craig's restaurant on Melrose Avenue
"You are worth it and you deserve to be treated"
"In that case, lead the way"
They stepped into the restaurant and were greeted by the maitre'd who took them to the bar for drinks as they had arrived a little early for their booking
"What drink can I get you? Asked barman
"White wine and a coke please" replied Sheldon
"Sheldon I am driving I can't drink"
"If you only have one drink, it will be ok, the rest of the time just drink coke" replied Sheldon as the barman passed them the drinks in double quick time
"Did you know this place is frequented by celebrities? Asked Amy as she sipped her drink
"Yes but I don't expect to see any tonight and there were no paparazzi outside either" replied Sheldon
They exchanged small talk for a few minutes until they were taken to their table, the table was set in a corner booth of the restaurant giving them a little privacy, the waiter passed them the menus and gave them some time to peruse, although Sheldon only had eyes for Amy and kept kissing her while she was trying to look at the menu
"Sheldon are you sure you can afford here? Asked Amy again
"Yes of course" replied Sheldon pulling her close for a cuddle, they quickly chose from the menu and the waiter came back
"Are you both ready now? Are you having the three course meal?
"Yes I will have the fried calamari and Amy will have the shrimp cocktail for starters" replied Sheldon
"And for your mains? Asked the waiter tapping something into his menu list
"We will both have the honey truffle chicken, thank you" replied Sheldon passing the menus back
"Excellent, can I get you a top up?
"No thank you"
The waiter disappeared leaving Sheldon and Amy alone again, they had another kiss before Sheldon remembered to ask Amy something
"So how did you meeting go? You never said what it was about? Asked Sheldon
"It was to do with my lecture and presentation tour, it's been extended a little" replied Amy not looking at him
"Extended? By how long? Asked Sheldon suddenly not happy
"Originally it was for a week but it's now turned into a week and a half and being brought forward" replied Amy as Sheldon showed his displeasure by removing his arm from her shoulders
"I see and when are you going now then?
"The week after next, I will be gone from the Sunday to the following Wednesday, sorry Sheldon but I am in demand and I don't want to say no, it's a good opportunity" replied Amy
"But you have only just got back from Saudi and now you are off again" Sheldon started to pout and fold his arms in annoyance
"Sheldon we have been over this, you knew that I would be gone for a week and you were ok with it, we can still Skype and talk every day"
"Fine, is anybody else going with you?
"No just me, I have another tour lined up for March as well, this is how it will be Sheldon so either like it or not" replied Amy taking a sip of her drink
"I guess I don't have a choice" replied Sheldon copying her just as the waiter came back with the starters
"Enjoy" said the waiter with a flourish and leaving the two of them in silence, Sheldon was the first to break it
"Maybe I could come and see you on the weekend you are away, do you know where you will be?
"I don't think that would work because I would be travelling and we wouldn't be able to spend that much time with each other anyway" replied Amy in between bites
"Fine, so what Universities are you going to then? Sheldon decided to just accept it, he didn't have much choice anyway
"Harvard for three days, Princeton for two and then the University of Florida on the Monday and Tuesday"
"Cant you travel back Tuesday?
"No because my final lecture is at 4pm and I would rather have a good nights sleep and travel back fresh, we can have date night when I return"
"So this tour in March, where is that going to be?
"Nothing has been confirmed as yet but it will be for at least two weeks and in Europe" replied Amy adding "This is delicious" as she took another biteful
"Glad you are enjoying it" replied Sheldon grumpily
"Oh lighten up, this is the deal now Sheldon and you can have more time for guys only nights while I am away" replied Amy smiling at him
The smile seemed to do something to Sheldon and he pulled Amy back into his arms and kissed her gently before holding her close
"What was that for? Asked Amy surprised at the quick change in mood
"I just felt like it" replied Sheldon
They finished the starter, the waiter reappeared and quickly brought their main meal over and then they had dessert, they stayed in the booth afterwards for a while sipping tea that they ordered and playfully tickling and kissing each other before they left at 10pm
Amy drove Sheldon back to his apartment and went in with him, they had no sooner closed the door when there was knocking coming from it and Sheldon opened it to find Penny there in her uniform
"Sorry I saw you guys parking up, how was it?
"It was fabulous, see if Leonard can take you one day" replied Amy
"I will do, anyway goodnight" said Penny waving at them both and leaving them alone
"You don't have to go just yet do you? Asked Sheldon as they sat down on the sofa
"I can't stay too long, I am in at 8am tomorrow" replied Amy
"Stay here then, I have a spare nightie for you"
"Ok but I will have to leave early in the morning to go home and collect my things" replied Amy as she relaxed into Sheldon's body as he held her close
"Fine and you are happy to share my bed with me? Asked Sheldon to be sure
"Of course, although it's not as big as mine"
"Who cares" replied Sheldon then making Amy laugh as he tickled her
"Thank you for an amazing date night, that's a tough call to beat but I am sure I will think of something" said Amy
"I know you will, come on bed" replied Sheldon
Sheldon stood up and took Amy's hand and led her to his bedroom where they didn't go to sleep for some time
