"I told you, you die for that!" Thor said, pushing the Stormbreaker deeper in Thanos's chest.The desire of revenge was burning inside in him. He had to revenge them. All of them.
"You should...you should have gone for the head!" Thanos managed to warn the thunderer. He drew his fingers closer when, suddenly, a dagger ruined his plans as someone behind him thrusted it into his hand. The same stranger pulled out another and stabbed the titan in the neck.
"What kind of moron wouldn't go for the head?" the person said, this time slicing Thanos's throat to make sure he's really dead.
When the body collapsed, Thor froze. His heart skipped a beat. "Brother" was all he could say before he stepped forward and pulled his sibling into a tight hug. Loki also wrapped his arms around Thor.
"Brother...You're alive!" Loki said disbelievable on his words. He doubted this was real. "You're here." he whispered in the try of staying positive and casting out the negative thoughts such as believing that was a lie.
Thor could feel his brother trembling and the sobs were breaking his heart. He hasn't heard Loki crying since childhood. He tried to calm down the younger god with words like " It's okay, it's over." or "I'm here, you're safe." Thor skatched a weak smile on his face as Loki finally stopped shaking.
"I love you, brother." the little sibling whispered.
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
"What was what?"
"What did you just say two seconds ago?"
"Shut up, you heard me very well."
"I know, it's just...I like how it sound, coming from you." There was a sign of regret in Thor's voice. "Like, I don't think you've ever-"
"Brother," Loki's voice was calm and kind, "never doubt that I love you."
They stood hugged like that for what it seemed to be an eternity. They didn't want to let go. They didn't want to lose each other again. Not now when fate brought them together. Forever.
