The next day the four ladies arrived in New York just after 4pm, Penny had set aside all of Saturday for dress shopping and after hailing a taxi, they arrived at Beverley's apartment, they were greeted by Beverley's housekeeper who let them in and announced she would be back on Sunday morning, there was three bedrooms in the apartment and Penny and Amy chose to share one while Emily and Bernadette had the other, they quickly unpacked before meeting in the lounge to make use of the champagne Beverley had left them, Amy decided it was a good time to share her news
"Sheldon and I are going to live together permanently" announced Amy taking a sip of champagne
"Good for you, when was that decision made? Asked Penny
"Last night, this weekend would have been a month since the trial started and everything has gone well and I trust that he isn't going to run off again"
"Maybe the next step will be marriage" commented Bernadette
"Oh I don't know about that, little steps for now" replied Amy shaking her head
"Moving in together is a pretty big step Amy, do you know what Sheldon wants? Asked Emily
"No we haven't discussed marriage, for now we are both happy with our current state of the relationship"
"How's the physical side? We heard you a few times getting fruity when we were staying" asked Penny
"The physical side is going very well, we are enjoying each other and no we haven't had coitus yet but I don't think it will be long before we do" replied Amy
"Are you and Leonard going to have a party when you move into your new house? Asked Bernadette changing the subject
"Probably, we also agreed that we pay a little extra to keep the furniture seeing as we have none, the owners were buying new furniture anyway" replied Penny
"Is Leonard going to use the basement spare room as a games area? Asked Bernadette
"Yes, it was the first thing he wanted, living at Amy's spoiled us because he could do that every night"
"Is the house like Amy's? Asked Bernadette again
"Yes, although the layout is reversed and we have a pool, hopefully we will be able to move in soon, we have a month before the Andersons return"
"How's that going? Asked Emily
"Oh fine, no problems so far and the owners have Skyped us to talk to the dogs which I thought was weird but Leonard said it was sweet" replied Penny
"That is sweet" commented Amy
"Sure, shall we order a takeaway? Asked Penny reaching for the numerous takeaway menus on the table
"Are we staying in tonight then? Asked Bernadette
"Yes, for once I am sacrificing a lie in on a Saturday to get up early for dress shopping, did I tell you we have an appointment at 930am?
"No" chorused all three ladies
"Oh, well you know now" replied Penny laughing at their reactions
"I think we should raise a toast for Amy and Sheldon, after the year they have had, its good to see them happy" announced Bernadette raising her glass at the friends
"Agreed, to Amy and Sheldon" replied Penny smiling at her friend
They ended up ordering Chinese food and spent the remainder of the evening talking and before they went to bed they Skyped their partners, in the morning Penny called a local breakfast café who sent a delivery for them all and by 9am they were out of the apartment and on the way to the first appointment that Penny had booked, they arrived on time and were greeted by the owner
"Hello I am Jessica, the owner, I take it you are here for your 930 appointment?
"Oh yes, I am Penny the one that's getting married, we are looking for a dress for me and three bridesmaid dresses and accessories" replied Penny
"Good and have you decided on a colour for the bridesmaids?
"I was hoping to have all three in different colours, I don't want it to be a regular boring traditional wedding, its going to be on my parents farm back in Nebraska" replied Penny
"That is far from boring but lets get you all measured and we can find something for you" replied Jessica
Three hours later they emerged from the bridal store, Penny had put aside two dresses for herself that she liked and said she would be back at the end of the day if she couldn't find anything else and had chosen a peach, light blue and red bridesmaid dresses for the three ladies, Penny had agreed that Amy could wear her tiara at the wedding and had also ordered shoes and then a selection of jewellery that the store stocked, they went to a couple more stores but Penny it seemed had made her decision and went back to the original store to purchase the dress and they agreed to send it and the bridesmaid dresses directly to her parents address in Nebraska, the foursome chose to eat out that night at a local restaurant and on Sunday they arrived back in LA for early evening
Raj and Howard had collected their partners in separate cars but Leonard and Sheldon picked up Penny and Amy together and they all went back to Amy's house for a drink on their return
"Oh by the way Penny I wanted to surprise you, we can move into our new house at the beginning of December"
"That is a nice surprise, when did that happen? Asked Penny giving her fiancée a kiss and a cuddle
"This morning and it works out well as the Andersons arrive back just a couple of days before we move in, they said we can stay there for the remainder of the time even when they return"
"Good, I think this calls for a private celebration, sorry guys we will see you tomorrow" announced Penny suddenly and taking Leonard's hand then leading him out of the house, Amy followed and locked the door and returned back to the lounge
"I am glad they have gone, I missed you while you were away" said Sheldon bringing Amy into a cuddle, he had been somewhat restrained at the airport and had only given her a quick kiss
"I missed you too and I have made a decision about Saudi at Christmas" replied Amy
"What sort of decision? I thought you were adamant that you were going?
"I was but I spoke to Faisal and he congratulated us on our new living arrangements and said that I could just come in the summer as usual, so I will be coming to Texas with you if the offer is still there"
"Of course it is, my mother will be very happy" replied Sheldon
"It's not just that, I will be away in March for two weeks and then in the summer for two months so it would be selfish of me to spend so much time away from you when we are still learning about each other"
"Sure, you also need to add me to the deeds of the house so I can contribute to the mortgage"
"Can we do that tomorrow? I have a lecture in the morning but I have the afternoon free, the rest of the week is finishing up the first phase of the study then collecting all the data"
"That works for me, I will order us a Pizza if you like?
"That will be nice, come here cuddles" replied Amy
Amy relaxed into Sheldon's body and he held her tightly, she turned her head and they shared a sweet kiss before they stopped to smile at each other
"Come and spend the evening in the pool" suggested Amy
"I like that idea" replied Sheldon as he let Amy go and they went to get changed
They went to the pool with a glass of wine for Amy and a bottle of water for Sheldon and they spent a couple of hours, playfully chasing each other and feeding the Pizza to each other before they retired to bed both of them feeling happy together
It was now a month later and the entire gang was helping Leonard and Penny move into their new house, thanks to everything that was taken from the apartment and left in Amy's garage and spare bedroom, it didn't take very long and they were holding a moving in party in the evening, Amy and Sheldon had gone back home to get changed but were sidetracked when Sheldon entered the bedroom to find Amy naked after getting out of the shower
"I wish we could stay here" commented Sheldon bringing Amy into his arms, kissing her and running his bands up her back to make her shiver
"I know what you would like to do" replied Amy smiling at him
"I guess it's that social convention that demands we go to our friend's party" moaned Sheldon while eyeing up Amy's body in between kisses
"That's true, let's get ready" replied Amy trying to extract herself from Sheldon's arms
"Later you are all mine little lady" said Sheldon giving her a look and going off to shower himself
Amy and Sheldon left the house and met with the Andersons who had also been invited to the party and walked round to the new house together, Amy had brought Penny two bottles of champagne and handed them over when they arrived, they walked into the lounge to find their friends already there, Stuart and Wil Wheaton had been invited and were there also, along with some of the comic book store guys and friends of Penny's from the Cheesecake factory and Caltech
"Hi Amy, Sheldon" said Stuart greeting them both with hugs and a kiss on the cheek for Amy
"Stuart" replied Sheldon nodding at him and taking Amys hand passively and then getting the same response from Wil Wheaton
"Now that everybody is here, I would like to welcome you all to our new home" announced Penny over the noise
"We will be having fireworks once it gets dark as well" added Leonard to cheers from everybody
"Sheldon are you going to have a proper drink? Asked Penny passing him a glass of champagne
"You know what I am like when I drink Penny" complained Sheldon
"Oh just have one and stick to soft drinks the rest of the night" replied Penny trying to persuade him
"Fine, but Amy make sure nobody spikes my drink, I know some people here are not above that" replied Sheldon glaring at Penny who just grinned back and went to serve more drinks
"There's a lot of people here, are you going to be ok with that? Asked Amy to Sheldon who was looking like he wanted to leave already
"Yes as long as I have you with me I will be fine"
"Come on lets join the madness" said Amy taking his hand and leading him out to the garden where nearly everybody had gathered as Leonard was cooking food on the BBQ with help from Raj and Howard but mainly Raj
It was a couple of hours later and Sheldon found he was enjoying himself, he had joined some of the guys in the games room and eventually Leonard emerged to let off the fireworks, Sheldon and Amy were standing together cuddling as the fireworks went off
"Can we go home now? Asked Sheldon as they had a little kiss
"I think so, come on lets say our goodbyes" replied Amy
10 minutes later they were back at the house, Amy was merry thanks to the champagne but she and Sheldon were currently laying on the sofa kissing and cuddling, they could still hear the party going on at the house behind them but were too busy enjoying each other
"Come to the bedroom Sheldon, I want us to go further" said Amy suddenly
"By that you mean coitus don't you? Replied Sheldon looking down at her
"Yes, I believe we are both ready, I have protection so there is nothing stopping us" Amy gave him another kiss and reached into his trousers to fondle his erection
"Amy" gasped Sheldon at her touch
"So what do you say?
"I say yes" replied Sheldon climbing off her and then taking her hand, he led her to their bedroom
