Chapter 46: Until Tomorrow... (Last chapter for this story) :) / :'(
Now where did he go?!
I looked around myself, trying to feel out Gohan's ki. The hybrid suddenly appeared behind me, his fist heading for my face. I dodged it and kicked him away from me.
"I knew you would sneak up from behind, Gohan!" I laughed as I continued hovering in the sky.
Gohan placed his closed fists against his hips. "You sure you saw that one coming? Looked like to me you couldn't even sense where I was."
I giggled while watching him just float in the sky too. "Come on Gohan, don't be a sore loser now."
The older teen rubbed his nose. "That kick you gave was pretty good. I think i'm up for round two."
With that, Gohan transformed into a super saiyan.
"So, it's a super saiyan you want, huh?" I say before also turning super. "Well then, it's a super saiyan you'll get!"
Gohan disappeared and reappeared below me, grabbing my foot and slamming me to the ground. He laughed as I began spitting out the grass and dirt that had entered into my mouth.
"Yuck!" I comment.
"Tania, tell me... How does it taste?" Gohan teased.
I ripped out some grass and put dirt in them. "Since you want so badly to know Gohan..."
Using my speed, I shoved the grass and dirt into his mouth, being careful to not hurt him. "How about you tell me first?!"
I took off into the sky.
"Mhm, tastes rewy weir." Gohan answers my question seriously between his chewing. He then spat it out and chased me.
I squealed like a coward and began flying even faster then before. Gohan threw small energy blasts a child would throw. I deflected them all easily using my trusty tail. I returned the favor by sending my own group of child-like ki blasts at my sparring partner.
Of course, Gohan was able to effortlessly deflect them all. I smirked and threw an actual medium-sized one towards the ground. On impact, the dirt on it exploded and smoke covered Gohan's view of me. I took the awaited advantage and hid in the tees, lowering my power level drastically so that he couldn't sense me.
"Thank goodness... Our little sparring session is over..." I sighed as I got myself comfortable.
"Say that again?" I hear Gohan say from another branch while grinning his famous grin. "I didn't quite hear you."
I screamed and fell down off the tree branch, hitting my head against the ground.
"Tania!" Gohan came gracefully down the tree branch he stood on. "You okay? That looked like it hurt a lot."
"Noooo Gohan, it feels like I fell into a pool of chocolate cakes and yummy rice." I say sarcastically as I began to rub the large bump on my head that had formed.
"You got to learn how to not be so clumsy. Gosh, you're more of a clutz than Goten."
"Well, if a certain somebody didn't appear out of nowhere, this wouldn't have happened."
Gohan rubbed his head. "I guess your right. Sorry..."
I stood up and gave him a hug. "No, don't apologize. My head is fine."
Gohan looked a little baffled. "Uh, you sure? I think that bump on your head is throbbing..."
I pulled out of the hug. "Well if it is, don't just stand there! Use your instant transmission thingy and get some bandages!"
Gohan trembled a little. "O-Okay."
"There." Gohan says after tying the bandage wrapper around my head. "Feels any better?"
I nodded. "Yes, it does. Thank you, Gohan."
"No problem." Gohan replies, taking a seat next to me.
I rested my head on my boyfriend's shoulder while he wrapped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him. We both watched the clouds in the bright blue sky pass by.
"Can you believe it?" I begin a conversation.
"Hm?" Gohan responded.
"That we're only one day away from starting high school. It'll be a new chapter in our lives."
"Yeah." Gohan then looked at me. "To be honest, I was pretty surprised to hear mom say that you and I were gonna even attend Orange Star High."
"Why?"
"I always thought that she would rather have us home-schooled."
"I guess she had something else in mind for us this whole time."
Gohan got up and took my hand.
I gave him a raised brow. "What is it?"
"I wanna show you something."
"It better not be another huge pile of homework your mom assigned me to do."
Gohan chuckled. "Of course not. That would be a nightmare."
I smiled and went with Gohan to wherever he was leading me to. His hand was beginning to become warmer. I stared at him as he kept smiling. Gohan smiles everyday as if he never once had a bad day in his life.
Suddenly we came to a stop near a pretty small tree with cherry blossoms on it and on the ground beneath it's shade.
"This is the exact spot." Gohan made a toothy grin.
"What are you talking about?" I ask, not getting what he was trying to say.
"This is the spot where I found you unconscious the day we met. You were laying against this small tree. I'll never forget how the wind blew and the cherry blossoms on this tree came flying right at me. It literally began circling around me as if it was trying to tell me something. I watched as it went back to where it came from. The petals landed on you and that's when I first saw you." Gohan explained while looking at me in the eyes with compassion.
I blushed. "Go-Gohan... I..."
Gohan kept staring with a slight blush too.
"I... I... I'm hungry. We should probably get back home and eat some lunch before ChiChi has a huge fit!" I mess up what I was trying to really say.
Instantly, Gohan fell over.
Great... I'm such an idiot...
"Thanks for the meal, ChiChi."
"Of course, Tania." Gohan's mother replied.
I got out of my seat and placed my thirty-five plates in the sink. I then put the rubber gloves on and turned the water on to begin washing dishes. After all, I did promise ChiChi I would do all the cleaning for at least a while.
Gohan, Goku, and Goten was still eating their lunch. Chica was eating the dog food Gohan put out for her along with some water for her to drink in her bowl.
I looked at the time. It was 1:23. I sighed and blew my bang out of my eyes. I knew school was starting tomorrow at 7 A.M. Gohan and I had already received the tour yesterday after the phone call our principal gave ChiChi.
I put three plates in the cabinet after drying them off.
I wonder what it feels like to finally be a high school student? I just can't believe I get to skip ninth grade and get on to tenth! ChiChi's studying techniques seriously helped me improve my academic skills from a F to an A! Now that's one super mom!
When Goten finished his food and was full, he handed me his dishes one by one since he was too short to put them in the sink by himself. The little boy then tugged on my gi.
I looked down. "Do you need something Goten?"
"Can I help you with whatever it is you're doing?"
I smiled softly. "I don't think you're quite ready for this type of job yet kiddo. But i'll tell you what, how about you get the broom and sweep the kitchen after everyone is done eating?"
Goten became excited and ran to the broom in the closet.
"Goten, I said after everyone is done eating."
The boy stopped dead in his tracks. "Oh ya."
About five minutes later, Goku and his eldest son brought their dishes to the sink.
"It's a great day today. Perfect for training." Goku began stretching.
"Oh no you don't!" I turned the sink off and faced the man of the house.
Goku blinked. "What is it?"
"Goku, i'm sorry to say, but your training will have to be put on hold for right now. Today is going to be the day where you finally help around this house!" I pointed my finger at the older full-blooded saiyan.
"B-But Tania..."
"No buts Goku! This is happening today!"
"Gohan, why is she beginning to act m-more like your mother everyday?" Goku thought he was whispering low enough into Gohan's ear so that I couldn't hear a single word.
"I can hear you..."
Goku straightened up immediately nervously.
I thought of something for him to do. The floors in this house is wooden, so then that means...
I walked and opened up the closet near us and grabbed onto a mop.
"Goku, you can mop!" I walk back to Gohan's father, handing him the mop and bucket.
He sighed. "Alright... But I would rather train..."
"You can after mopping." I reply.
I saw Chica running around in the kitchen very hyper. I smiled but didn't risk any of chances of touching her when I was near Gohan. I wasn't going to get bitten.
Gohan coughed.
"O-Oh ya. Gohan you can um... um..." I was trying to think of something.
The young man patiently waited for a assigned chore.
"Oh! You can pick up around the house. Also, I need you to make the bathrooms sparkling clean."
Gohan seemed disappointed. "Anything but that..."
"Well, you can always have seven more hours of homework ChiChi will gladly give you." I tell him.
"I guess i'm off to clean the bathroom, dad. Have fun mopping!" Gohan says instantly after hearing his other option. He got cleaning supplies and headed to the bathroom.
I chuckled. I thought so.
"Wait, wait, Gohan! Don't break anything or we'll all be hit with a frying pan!" I warn him. "Also, don't forget to give Chica a bath!"
"Already did that in the morning!" He replies.
"I love this necklace and everything..." I tell Gohan before attempting to take the jewelry off again, only to have it start resisting. "But sometimes I just can't stand having this thing on when i'm trying to get some sleep."
"I know what you mean." Gohan replies before also trying his hardest to take off the necklace. "How am I suppose to go anywhere with this thing on?"
I giggled. "That's really sad."
Gohan layed on my bed trying again to take the heart-shaped locket off of him by biting and yanking it. "Argh! Come on! Be a good necklace and come off! I got school in the morning!"
"I'll try helping." I began tugging onto the necklace as hard as I could while Gohan tugged onto the other side. The necklace was only glowing a white light in response. The stupid thing wasn't budging an inch!
"Simmer down!" Gohan and I hear Wisheater scold us.
We didn't listen and kept pulling opposite sides.
"This necklace is persistent!" Gohan grunted, biting onto the necklace's lace thing.
"Maybe if we went super saiyan then we could... pull this off." I suggested.
"Yes!" Gohan agreed. "Why didn't I think of that?"
As if on cue, Gohan and I transformed. A minute passed by, and the necklace's light was getting brighter and bluish.
"You fools!" Wisheater yells very serious. "Stop right now before you get-"
The light from the necklace turned to an electric shock. The light came out of the necklace and striked Gohan and I, electrocuting us to the point where we fell to the floor and dropped out of our super saiyan forms. Our pajamas was burned and torned while our hair was really messed up.
The light returned to Gohan's locket and the necklace went back to its original color.
"Electrocuted..." Wisheater finished.
"W-Why does this a-always happen to me?" I ask, unable to move.
"There's so m-many stars out tonight. I gotta... go to sleep... I'm t-tired..." Gohan closed his eyes.
"Gohan!" I call out to him.
He didn't reply. I tried to move but that shock was so powerful it basically made me paralyzed. Luckily, Chica came running in the room. She was sniffing around. I assumed that she had smelt the burned clothing from wherever she was at and came to investigate.
"Jump on Gohan, girl." I pointed at the hybrid.
"Arf! Arf!" Chica barked. She began sniffing me.
"Chica..." I sadly say, tears beginning to fill in my eyes. "G-Gohan... Go check on him... Please."
Chica stared at the tears in my eyes beginning to fall from my eyes. She licked them away then ran to Gohan and jumped on him.
The half-saiyan stirred a little, but still had his eyes closed. I smiled in relief. Thank goodness... He's alive.
"You're lucky to even be alive." Wisheater speaks. "Any other normal person would have died immediately."
The sword shot a light at me. I was instantly healed. I stood up and observed my body.
"What the... What did you do to me?"
"Isn't it obvious? I healed you."
Chica ran to me and put her small paws on my leg. Her tail was wagging.
"I don't get how you..." I was going to ask Wisheater how he was able to me but then ignored it when I saw Gohan still on the floor.
I ran over to him and rested on my knees.
"Gohan!" I call, shaking his body.
Goku came into the room. "Son!"
He went next to his son and bended down. "What happened to Gohan? Why are you guys pajamas all torn and burned?"
"Its a long story..." I nervously rubbed the back of my head.
"They both tried tugging on Gohan's necklace in the hopes of taking it off. They went as far as transforming. Because the user can't take off the necklace, Gohan's locket severely electrocuted them both. Him especially."
"Why don't you heal him already?!" I growl at my sword.
"Wisheater can do that?" Goku wondered aloud.
"I can." Wisheater answered. "However, i'll only do this because Thornkin's soul rests inside of him and because you, Goku, have a heart identically pure as this boy. Anyways, I have to listen to my wielder."
"Thank you very much." Goku smiled.
With that, Wisheater shined a light at my boyfriend. Gohan's eyes opened.
"Woah, what happened?" He asks after sitting up. He placed his hand on his head. "My head feels like it could explode any second."
I hugged him. "I'm so happy you're okay! You had me worried."
"Tania, it's you."
"Of course its me. What happened with you? Did you get some vision about the future or something?" I joke after letting Gohan go.
He didn't say anything but gave me a weird look. "You look different than from when I saw you."
I blinked. "What?"
"N-Nevermind. I must have been dreaming."
Chica barked and hopped onto Gohan's lap, trying to lick his face.
"Hey Chica!" Gohan greeted the german shepherd. He held her in his arms and stood up, lifting her high in the air with a gentle smile. "How are you girl?"
"Arf! Arf!" The puppy barks again before panting and swinging its tail.
"I'm gonna take that as i'm doing fine." Gohan tells Chica before setting her down. He then noticed his father.
"Dad? What are you doing in here?"
"ChiChi received a phone call from Bulma. ChiChi told me that Bulma said that Trunks is about to head back to his time." Goku answers.
"Trunks is leaving?!" Gohan and I say in perfect unison.
"We gotta leave right now if we want to see him take off. We're already late."
"Why didn't Trunks informed us about this earlier?" I asked.
"Goku, what's taking you so lo- AHH!" ChiChi screams after walking in to see me and Gohan's clothes all burned and torn.
"MY BABY BOY!" She freaks out as she ran over to her eldest son. "GOHAN! YOU TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU AND TANIA THIS INSTANT, YOUNG MAN!"
"Mom?! I... uh... you see... um..." Gohan stuttered.
"ChiChi dear, we got to get going before Trunks leaves." Goku was trying to save his son and me from a lecture.
ChiChi furiously turned around. "GOKU, MY SON AND HIS FUTURE WIFE IS NOT GOING TO BE WALKING OUT OF THIS HOUSE WITH TORN, BURNED CLOTHES AND WILD HAIR!"
Goku began trembling in fear. "O-On second thought, I don't m-mind waiting a bit longer for these two to f-freshen up."
When we arrived at Bulma's, the blue-haired woman ran up to us.
"There you guys are!" She says. "What took you so long? Trunks is about to leave any minute."
"Let's just say Gohan and I got a bit careless when we tested our theory out for something." I tell her.
"Where are the others?" Goku looked around.
"They're inside. They already said their farewells to Trunks and our now waiting for his departure." Bulma said.
"Even Vegeta?" ChiChi questioned her friend.
"Yeah." Bulma replied.
"Hey everyone!"
We all looked ahead and saw Trunks walking to us.
"Trunks, you're not seriously going back, are you?" I ask the adult.
"I've got to. I know my mother is worried sick about me. Besides, I need to help continuing re-building the earth that the androids from my world destroyed now that they are gone. The last of earth's people need my help." Trunks explains.
I lowered my eyes. "Oh."
"Cheer up, Tania." Trunks placed his hand on my shoulder. "If I have any time in the future, i'll definitely return for another visit."
"Well, just in case if you don't, I just want to thank you for helping to save my life on multiple occasions. Also, thanks for being a great friend, Trunks." I thank him before giving him a goodbye hug.
"Trunks... Make sure you train well so that if a new enemy appears to threaten the earth, you'll be there to protect it and everyone." Goku gave Trunks an order.
"Yes sir!"
Trunks shook Goku's hand. "Thank you for all you've done Goku. It was nice to see you get wished back to life again."
Vegeta's son gave ChiChi a hug and said his goodbye. He then went up to Goten.
"It's nice to know that my younger self will be able to have a best friend who is his age." Trunks ruffled Goten's hair. "I have seen how my younger self acts, you make sure you help him keep out of trouble, alright?"
Goten nodded shyly. Trunks smiled and went over to Gohan.
"I guess this is goodbye, Gohan."
"I guess so." Gohan responded.
"In my time, you were my best friend and my mentor. You died one tragic storming night against the androids when you were 23 years old. You were the bravest, strongest, warrior on the planet. I'm really glad to have see, talk, and fight alongside you again even though you are a lot younger. Thanks for everything Gohan. I'll miss you." Trunks was smiling but if you took a closer look into his eyes, there was sadness and loneliness.
"Take care of yourself, Trunks." Gohan gave Trunks a friendly hug. "Protect what's left of earth."
"Of course!"
"I'm so proud of you my son. In matter of fact, I'm so proud of you that I have a huge surprise for you." Bulma smiled, but also had tears in her eyes. "Close your eyes."
Trunks did as he was told. Bulma placed a large rolled up paper in her son's hand. She told him to open his eyes and unroll the paper.
"W-What is this?"
"It's the directions and coordinates to get to New Namek. Once you get there, ask the namekians if you can use their dragonballs to bring back all the lives that was killed by the androids. You can use the second wish to restore earth to the way it was before the androids showed up so you don't have to get your hands dirty doing all that hard work. For the third wish, you can use it for whatever you think is necessary." Bulma explains, shocking everyone, especially her future son.
"T-There's no way..." Trunks was absolutely stunned.
"If you bring my future self with you to New Namek, i'm positive the namekians will let you use their dragonballs after you explain your story."
Trunks eyes was beginning to water a little.
"How can I ever thank you?!" Bulma's son hugged his mother. "You're awsome mother."
"You are too, son."
"I can't believe i'll be able to see Gohan again. I wonder what he'll think of me when he's seen how strong i've become? And dad... I can see my real dad alive for the first time!" Trunks was so happy, tears began slipping down his face.
"I'll be able to become friends with the others too."
This touching moment made me cry. Gohan saw this and hugged me.
Trunks hid his face with his arm. Bulma finally lost it and began to cry.
I'm so happy for Trunks. He finally gets to see his loved ones alive again.
After a few minutes, the weeping stopped and Trunks wiped his tears of happiness away.
"Oh man, please don't tell my dad I was crying."
"Don't worry, we won't." Goku promised. We all nodded afterwards.
Trunks took out his capsule and threw it. Out came a large yellow time machine. He hopped into it after everyone that was inside Capsule Corp. came outside.
"Bye Trunks!" Everyone yells as the half-saiyan's machine went into the sky.
"Bye everyone! Take care of yourselves! I love you all!" He waved with a friendly smile before the time machine disappeared.
After a few seconds, I felt a severe pain in my tail bone.
"OW!" I screamed. I felt my lower back and felt no tail there.
"M-My tail!" I completely freak out. "What happened to my tail?!"
I looked behind me at the ground and saw my sliced off tail right there. Gohan had a energy sword on his hand.
"GOHAN!" I yell very angry. I punched him hard on the head.
"Ow! That really hurt, Tania." He whined as a large bump appeared on his head like the one I had earlier.
"Why did you cut my tail?!"
"I had to. Mother told me to do it while you were off guard so that you don't go to school with that thing swinging around. It would've caused unwanted attention." Gohan explained while he rubbed his head.
I turned to ChiChi. "Is this true?"
"Yes, its true. I'm really sorry Tania, but I can't have you going to school with that tail. You would attract too much attention. I want you and Gohan to have a normal school life."
I was devastated but understood.
"Sorry for hitting you Gohan." I apologized. "Also, i'm really sorry for ignoring your story about how you found me against that small tree with the cherry blossoms on it. To be honest, I really thought that it was-"
Gohan, without saying a word, kissed me passionately on the lips.
He pulled back and smiled. "I'm glad to have met you. I can't wait to start high school with you Tania. I love you."
I turned red. "I love you too, Gohan. I love you a lot."
Again, Gohan and I began kissing and like every other time, my heart began racing. I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.
No matter what obstacle high school brings us, I promise you Gohan that we'll get through it together somehow. After all, you are my real true love and i'll never forget that.
