A/N hey-ho. so this was supposed to be part of one big chapter but works been piling it on and i haven't been updating as much as i wanted to so here's the first part which is a chapter of its own hope its alright :)
A Pinch of Salt and a Lobbing headache
Ellen's POV
Hey. I'm feeling, better now. and I'm learning again as you do with each day, i have a...little bit of a different perspective on certain things now maybe even this sense of peace or that might be heart burn whatever it is I've come to terms with what comes with life. i've never been that much of a believer in the unknown but i do trust those around me so i guess you can call that as a believe in others. Sure I'll probably have another say when Cybertron has its chance for life again but...i can wait for them to come back, i mean anything could happen, Earth could recognize there existence maybe even get a Spacebridge one day, but that may be a while yet as it's not over yet here. The bar has been set a couple levels and it comes bearing teeth and wings.
but for the moment we were testing the Groundbridge and on the location of the inside of my place no doubt as Ultra Magnus volunteered to pass through, but i just hope his shoulder pads don't tear my ceiling up. I definitely have to take him with a pinch of salt, one minute he's fine and then the next he's back to being Commander again. Like he's trying to force himself to be nothing else. I don't know but he's just too intense to argue with so I'm trying my best to keep it together. that trip to Dark Mount with him, was not for the fainthearted.
"She is literally lying on the floor, can't miss her, but you know try not to step on the smaller belongings besides her Magnus Sir." Is what i said to him, i mean I've already lost certain possessions to an eager Elite Guard but i digress i was able to freeze my accounts so no harm there, but still i mourn for my awesome stuff. See this is why i keep some of my things 'on' me.
So Ultra Magnus merely nodded at me before very casually passing through the Groundbridge...jeez mister hardcore. And Ratchet watched the screen eagerly for a stable signal from him as i shuffled my 'good foot' in anticipation. "Doctor, i'm through and there has been no change in my vitals." He said over the comm. Though Ratchet mumbled something to himself, I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that Ultra Magnus is his own medic heh.
"Now to answer the question 'is your Groundbridge organic friendly?'" i said rubbing my hands together before looking at the portal, "is it me or does it sound a little different?" i said, with...l-little concern it-it did sound different, like a washing machine that was on its last legs.
"If you're hesitating Rafael has volunteered, he has a better comprehension of Groundbridge technology and better 'faith'." Ratchet said teasing me no doubt, but Raf waved at me in addition to his comment as i slumped my arms causing a slight snicker from Miko and a repressing Jack.
I was still with my crutch and broken leg that hasn't gone anywhere but I'm still moving, "O-Oh no i was just making a memo of that." i stated, sure just pull out the Raf trump card why don't you? I-I mean why would you send Raf in as an test subject you crazy medic, h-he's a good kid...what? He is. S-So anyway i started marching towards it mumbling to myself, "Mans struggles continue." I said as i hovered a hand by the portals entrance, twitching my fingers slightly, "ah screw it, I'm not dragging this out." I said as i pushed my hand through it... "Ahhh!"
"W-What?!"
"But I-I..."
"Get a towel! get a towel!"
"You killed her!"
Was the reaction from the others as my arm was without a hand! heh... "Psyche." I said sliding my hand from under my sleeve, worst prank in the world but i had to improvise. they kind of teased me after all but that was pretty weak.
If daggered eyes were real though, I'd be dead before I'd hit the floor and my killers being Ratchet, Miko and Jack, though i could tell Raf was also annoyed with me when he averted his eyes to the floor...the stone of shame for me then. "W-Will you just go-go through!" Ratchet hollered holding a hand on his chest venting his stress.
"Fraghead!" Miko hollered.
"Don't swear Miko." I grinned, waggling a finger as i walked through the bridge coming into contact with Ultra Magnus who must have somehow heard the ruckus or has optical counterparts around base.
"Must you delay time?" he scolded looking over the empty shell that was my robotic form.
I placed my hands behind my back as i averted my eyes, "just testing out some psychological methods." I said I'm still trying to talk the talk with this guy though i said i would only if i had to, i find myself being in the same room with him far too much then i desirably want to, no offense to him but i haven't got six weeks of therapy time with him to try and figure out his centre.
"You are not qualified for experimentation." He merely said kneeling down to the form. I lightly rolled my eyes as i approached him. "I have become aware of certain human facial gestures; i have noticed the 'native' habits in the others." He said.
Oh Lord he's already adapted! "Well scrap I'll have to use 'other' gestures Sir." i said nudging the lifeless husk, "hey there other life." I greeted.
"How was this possible?" Ultra Magnus questioned looking almost slightly disturbed at the body; of course, Ultra Magnus was on Cybertron during the abductions of remaining Autobots for Shockwaves experiments, wonder when he decided to leave and find others...i bet he has some stories to tell. but I'd be too er...forget it I'm too old for bot stories.
"Well from what Ratch attempted to explain, its similar to a cortical patch, but it doesn't intercept the mind or transfer one mind into another, he transferred my brain activity to an empty shell so i have full control of it, my human body is unaffected but without my brain activity i'm basically in stasis is a better term. But muscle spasms occur from time to time and after that part i kind of drifted off into daydream mode."
"To me it seems, morbid." He said.
"You know I'm not in someone else's corpse, this was built from human resources, a machine was its original purpose, pardon the 'racial' term on your part." i said moving closer to him, when he's on one knee he kind of looks approachable, kind of... "Hey, from here you don't look that intimidating."
He put his hands behind his back as he straightened his position, "Juvenile, must i demonstrate authority yet again?" he said basically used to repeating himself now.
"You don't look that intimidating Magnus Sir?" i noted smiling naively at him. Hey if i can't argue I'll just play dumb.
"Not completely accurate but it will suffice." He said placing a hand around 'Starlight's' helm and the other under her knee's he had a grimace look upon him as he lifted her.
"Do you think you'd ever be able to function as a, civilian?" i decided to ask, with it being a small task i thought to get a word in. "You ever thought to, be anything else?"
"That is none of your concern or business for that matter." He started very defensively.
"That's probably where you go wrong." I said as he was silent but i could read his optics and facial gestures. It wasn't too hard i got a friend back home you may re-call that i, had almost gotten her...k-killed. Well she was a victim of abuse and kept to herself when we were kids, but through a lot of verbal abuse and allot of physical attacks from her i finally got through and she is one of my closest friends to this day, even if we didn't start out that great. But the point is, I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to that. You can probably tell to the fact that i can take the fights and getting my feelings hurt or my heart basically torn out but in a way i can thank Ratchet for my somewhat immunity against that.
It was similar with Magnus anyway, different circumstances but still similar. "You may notice that i, 'speak' allot." I told him.
"An understatement." He said flatly, quick with the responses again, i like that makes arguing more fun.
"Aw ya cut me to the quick Sir." i joked, "But i speak, because i learn. I don't know everything about every bot here, but i do know there buttons, what they enjoy to do as a pass time. There hopes and there problems, they also do the same, listen. But respectively a human charge and there partnered Autobot, you have a bit more opportunity to learn more about that particular bot."
"Then you are an interferer?" He said.
Ha-ha, then again its times like these i wish i was five again so i could just spout nonsense and cry, at least whatever he said i wouldn't be able to comprehend it as well. "Do you know anything about me?" i then asked lightly maybe he's been asking around, he did say he got information from Ratchet but i bet he doesn't know my favorite movie genre.
"Of course, you are female, sixteen Earth years of age, life blood signature i believe is AB negative, I.Q one-twenty-five..." He said.
I slightly laughed interrupting him, not at him personally but to how blunt he was and so sure with his answer. "That's my bio; it's not the same thing." But still he's been reading our profiles, i kind of like to keep that private like your medical records, i should have called classified on that.
Ultra Magnus gave me a questionable look but said nothing to my rude interruption; i dodged the bullet that time i guess. Speaking of those who have dodged bullets i wondered about Dads new alt form, something with a jet pack on the back isn't exactly built for civilization, but it makes for a great pimped up ride. I just hope his flight run isn't long; I'm starting to miss him...yeah he hasn't been away that long either clingy i know but it's true I'm still healing here. Maybe it's his listening I've missed. "So 'Number One', with you having total power over our very rights of free will, what now?"
Of course he looked past my comment of suggested dictatorship i guess he has at least learned that i express a tone full of sarcasm on a regular basis. "If the Groundbridge transportation was successful we would continue towards the former base, to give it a clear scouting of any resources the Decepticons may have misplaced." He said.
"Oh. So who's apart of this 'away team' Môn capitan?"
"Myself, to monitor the second member, Wheeljack, his 'expertise' in demolishing would clear the rubble that would most likely be encountered but may require my supervising." He said with worry. "And you are the third member if we were able to retrieve your, 'resource'." He said looking at the femme body that he held bridal style.
"Me?" i asked raising an eyebrow but i exaggerated it to the fullest.
"Prime decided the team not me. But he explained his reason." He said.
"And that being?" i continued as he looked as though he wanted to shudder to the sound of my confidence.
"To pull you from your, usual routine you have given yourself." he then looked confused, "but also mentioned it would benefit me as well." He said reluctantly.
"Oh rea-ll-y? How?" i asked trying not to look so smug, but heck this was my calling to have a reason to talk.
"If i had any inquiries of your culture, you could...inform me." He said.
"Ah, right. So Jack got Smokescreen and i got you?" Aw man, sure it would be alright hanging with big guy number two and i do like to be informative but... "Why me? I'm trying to avoid you as much as possible." I blurted. "Every time i say yes to him, he says no and vice versa. Why doesn't he just throw me in a volcano and also call it 'learning'?" i said of course i wanted that to be between myself but i guess i just do it on purpose but his glare was turning into an actual sense as i just knew he was doing it, i started pinching at my jacket releasing the heat from under my neck collar, "i-i mean er, I'd-I'd love to accompany you to our former base Magnus Sir, tell you of my culture...and-i-bet-you-have-much-to-offer-as-well ." i finished robotic-ally.
"Perhaps i should put the upgraded weaponry into storage instead." he said progressing his steps, wait, huh? This guy says everything so fluent you can't tell when to react appropriately or not, i bet if he told me i had two months to live it would take me a while to understand that he had just said that.
"whoa-whoa, up-upgraded weaponry?" i said eagerly putting myself in front of him as he merely stepped over me, "Aw come on Magnus Sir, Commander. My main Mech. Maggie?" i then stopped, clearly he was ignoring me, "Oh, i understand you've figured me out telling me something I'd obviously be interested in and using that against me. Shame on you Magnus Sir." If i didn't want to risk losing my place when being under 'him'. I would straight up have a debating showdown.
"Would you prefer the weaponry? Or not?" he stated sternly.
That was another thing to remember he was easily agitated when challenged my list is growing to the floor. "Excuse my potty mouth but; hell yeah." i exclaimed placing a hand on his leg as he looked at it like i were an insect crawling on his arm. It was just a light gesture like a pat on the back but the way he looked it was like i violated him or something.
"Please." He said wearily, referring to the undesired action.
"S-Sorry I've had a very sheltered childhood, i can sometimes be, unpredictable?" i said folding my arms.
"Just be sure to keep your very being to an appropriate distance." he said. Good lord, it's a good thing I'm way past having self-esteem issues or I'd just eat a tub of ice-cream in a corner...in the spaces between spaces. heh-heh...sorry.
"Right..." i sighed wearily, but wait, he can't do anything besides hurt my pride, my dignity and make me feel completely scrap about myself. I think I've contained all 'this' long enough on him, So i poked his leg, "beep." I said.
I think at first he had no idea what i did exactly but his face was a sight, "that is not an appropriate distance." he warned, so i did it again and he sighed frustratingly, "Stop that, now."
"Magnum, you need compassion." i dared to say he was pretty contained so i thought to bring it out a little more, pretty risky as he could go either way. "Even if it's the slightest gesture, you know, like a poke." He shuffled his shoulders avoiding the discussion somehow, "don't like that kind of talk huh?"
He placed a couple fingers on the top of his helm, "Ratchet, we need a Bridge." He said as he turned down to me like the bringer of death. "Anymore inappropriate behavior and I'll have you confined at base for questionable mental thought."
Well, there have been those who mistake my nature for crazy thinking, but i just hope he doesn't go overboard by claiming I'm a threat to national security... "You're a rival to my life Ultra Magnus."
3rd Person POV
Ellen, (Now Starlight) had Ratchet, no wait, Ultra Magnus had Ratchet install a much stronger weapon to her systems, one with projectiles that can pierce through Armour and frame like a piercing blade, nothing fancy but more efficient. "man it's like going from a water gun to the real deal. Do you think i should have this?"
"Just to increase survival rate." He said.
"Survival rate?" she repeated hoarsely.
"Survival rate?" Ratchet also said grimacing the thought. "Ultra Magnus, you were always so, 'bold' on words." He added.
He nodded to the comment, "You can utilize them when we return." He told Ellen. Her optics brightened in shade looking at them, still fascinated with this form as she started kicking her legs back and forth on the med table. "Ratchet, is the Groundbridge still stable?" he continued, getting straight to business.
"Yes, but I'd prefer it be monitored whenever in use, just to be sure." He said as he input the co-ordinates, what followed was a brief uncomfortable silence as Ellen coughed into her hand and the usual awkward gestures were presented, hands tapping against their sides, scratching heads, averting eyes and that strained sound that hoped for the moment to end. Maybe it was this energy Ultra Magnus was dispensing but everyone felt edgy with how 'battle ready' he seemed to always be.
"So-ooo..." Ellen started as she looked to the ceiling, "we er, expecting an air raid?" she grinned tensing to how worse she plainly made it.
"H-Have you learned your lines?" Jack then called to her as Ultra Magnus watched them unconditionally.
"Lines?" she asked tilting her head.
"The School production? We've been rehearsing months for?" he said.
She rebounded her palm off her face, "D'oh, your right we're supposed to be performing Macbeth in a few weeks. Jack, would you mind letting them know i can't do Lady Macbeth now?" She said.
"You said so yourself that it's in a few weeks, maybe then..."
"M...?" Ultra Magnus started to say something as he obliviously became interested to certain references.
Ellen just about made a 'w' before her own mouth was overpowered by the Groundbridge portal opened "We're rolling." he said as Ellen stiflingly transformed her weapons back to hands.
Wheeljack started stretching his limbs casually, cracking his fingers one by one as he put himself promptly in Ultra Magnus' presence.
She bit her finger as she cringed, like watching a face off, "Aw man there's going to be some handbag Wars i know It." she thought. "H-Hey! Wheeljack haven't been with you in a while." she said putting herself in the middle of them.
"And i doubt we ever will, if this guy has a say in things." He continued casually, as he started stretching his form, purposely making snapping sounds within his Armour plating.
"Conversing time is over." Magnus flatly said, "Ratchet we'll be in touch." He added going back through the Bridge.
"I-I do see what you mean." She said trying to make a giggling sound silent.
"If we do this right maybe we could get the Commander sectioned?" he said tempting her an offer.
Ellen spun her head around to him she almost locked her neck, "Aw nar, there is no way I'm going down with you again, besides i don't feel like acting out anymore well you know, only if, i guess challenged in a manner of speaking."
"Oh i understand." He said hinting something.
"And by that you mean?"
"You kid have officially, been molded." He said shaking his head and tutting in a tragic fashion.
"Molded? Co-operating doesn't mean I've been whipped. There's a time and place for everything and right now is a time to co-operate." She stated defensively, "i am not a tool."
"Whatever you say kid. But i hope you're going to step up, because if it were me I'd not settle with the term 'Juvenile'." He argued as the two walked through the Groundbridge tunnel.
"It's harmless."
Wheeljack shrugged his shoulders, "Suit yourself but I'm tellin' ya, you give this mech a soldier and he'll take an army." He said warningly as they came in contact with Ultra Magnus whose stance suggested he had been waiting a while through his optics. It was troubling for her sure, he did remind her of a few traits Optimus had when first coming to Earth but with Ultra Magnus it was because life was no different for him before the War or even after.
"He can't help it Wheeljack." She said to herself quietly but it was true even if this was his life, he still was barely tolerable.
"Soldier cover the wall of debris, Juvenile the right, I'll cover this area and check on your progress and given how confined our environment is, we will not require a communication channel." He said.
"Yes, Sir." Then both said in unison, Wheeljack being weary in saying it while Ellen said it lightly. And the both turned to their starting points but not before Wheeljack could perform a mocking salute.
"Molded." He warned in a ghostly tone before heading to one side, curling his lip mischievously.
Ellen let his comments slide as she begun to explore herself, even with Ultra Magnus in the picture she still went her way, hearing the crunching under her feet of rocky debris as she progressed, the place was unrecognizable, she looked above as it was without a roof just hovering birds of prey hoping to find some kind of food source in the wreckage, it just looked like one big mess of a scrapheap. she curved around the debris walls that were lodged into the floor, making her way down what was no longer the hallways but instead like the outline before construction had even begun the existence of walls were there, there quarters, the vaults.
Now and then she would hear an explosion as Wheeljack had no trouble clearing his path as she thought to do the same. Lifting up big chunks of debris and moving it to one side. Though she expected little result to which area she was in, "this place is as empty as a store on Christmas Eve." She noted brushing her hands of dust.
She folded her arms in memory of the base, she sighed almost daydreaming at the outlined quarters that she figured out were hers and though lost she smiled nonetheless. "I never thought I'd get used to this place, but i did..." she reached a hand out to dust away some rubble so she could place a hand there. "It's gone by pretty fast."
"Juvenile." she snapped from her thoughts though in an act of confusing or a defense mechanism her blasters came online as she blasted the floor in front of her causing allot of rubble and dust to back fire into them, Ultra Magnus remaining still taking in the rubble attack as Ellen shielded her optics. She inhaled performing the action of breathing as he looked her over.
"i-i, er..." she started embarrassed as he came closer to her taking a hold of her arm that was still baring a weapon, she flinched as she wasn't sure if this was an arrest with how forceful he was.
"You have a habit of going in and out of focus." He said flatly despite her abrupt act of destruction. "You haven't had much experience in this, form have you?" he asked.
She slightly glared at the floor, "It feels more like I'm controlling a puppet. Which is barely control at all...but i was better then this before." She rubbed her arm as she turned bashful, "i, might need some he-help. I mean, i would ask Dad but with recent events he..."
As he listened to her last sentence he interrupted her by straightening her arm out to how shaky it was, he looked down her arm finding a parallel line, "Take 'my' advice, become more accustomed to certain operating commands. Defense mechanisms are activated by thought alone, if you're feeling threatened sometimes that can be mistaking for a direct command, and this is the result of it." he noted the cleared debris.
"is now flying," she finished her previous sentence as she look curiously at her arms then to him, the advice and coaching was nice but trying to function as a Cybertronian really did make her feel 'Juvenile'. "I am a little sloppy, even try to use physical force because of my, weaknesses."
"Those can be easily turned to strengths. Which can be achieved with constant reinforcement on your part." He noted as he looked at the wrecked environment in front of her, "did this area house important significance?"
She dropped her gaze from his and nodded slowly, "Yes, very personal significance, it used to be so bare, so loud and now bare again." She said softly taking note of the slight tilt of his head. "Sorry Magnus Sir, have you guys found anything?" she said pulling herself away from a personal concept.
He nodded noting her character, "Wheeljack has uncovered our Energon containers." He said.
"Containers?" she said with disappointment, but carried on. "We'll find some sources, somewhere else." She reassured.
He made a thoughtful sound, "Scout out the remainder of this area then return to the pickup point. We can't linger on here." He said before returning back to the area he was in but halted. "And when you can, improve on your synchronization. Because you are a potential hazard and unfit."
"Sir." She said ducking under a boulder that was wedged in between two walls of debris, though she stuck up two fingers whilst grinning at him when on the other side. "Best to just stay out of his way for now. i can't keep thinking i can be everyone's friend and fall for...'little' moments like that. but i can't really help it, I'm a fool for another's company." then thought to take practice as she made a check list of all the what used to be rooms and the layout, "forward, back, forward back then flick." She said spinning her arm to aim at a wall, "get back into the zone Ellen. And when feeling threatened try not to think that so i don't end up killing someone. Man its like being inside my phone when thinking." She said but to only stop suddenly "hmm the vaults are even destroyed, i'm not coming back to this bank." She said stopping to a halt. "Wait..." she said looking them all over counting them, all were empty and not just empty there was no evidence of anything that resided within. "That's six, there's five and four. And this is vault three..." she said as she stepped inside. Then she knelt down as she picked up some gravel between her fingers sprinkling it to make sure. "just rock..." she pondered, making her way back to Ultra Magnus the place was one big room now and communication wasn't hard, "Sir, can i ask a question?"
"Is it relevant?" he asked scanning the area of where the control panel used to be.
"Maybe it depends on the answer."
"Then let's hear it Juvenile."
"Well, can Insecticon pods live through, a lot? Explosions? Nuclear war? The world imploding?"
"It would require a strong enough force to penetrate one yes. Why?" he asked suspiciously as if she had done something to trigger over wise.
"Well, you know when we mentioned that cougar Arachnid being forced into stasis in one of those pods? Well it's...gone." she said producing empty hands.
"Gone?"
"Like, it has ceased to be."
"No evidence?"
She shook her head. "Not even fragments."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." She sighed.
He vented air through his cooling systems as he thought, "Then it is a possibility that we have a rouge Decepticon on our hands or that the pod was taken into custody."
"Why would Megatron take her for? He wanted her dead."
"We cannot confidently state that he has no purpose for her, there is always an intention. And by what Prime has mentioned Megatron himself has changed also, turning from predicable to almost unreadable to such a degree." He said.
"I guess a spider decorative piece on the front of the Nemesis would be considered unpredictable as well?" she jested.
"Will you stop that." he said in a fed up tone.
"You got a spike up your aft?" she thought to herself caught off guard from that comment.
"Have you found anything else?" he continued over her.
She shook her head, "nothing that would benefit us." she stated looking to where the Groundbridge controls once stood, "hmm..." she sighed grimly.
He looked to behind him, "it cannot be salvaged." He said.
She shook her head again, "It's not that." she said as she changed the subject, "did, you find anything else? I know there's nothing much to look at but..."
"I have managed to find this." He said pointing to the floor, one Energon cube. "It was located behind the platform, how though i haven't the time to investigate."
"Just one?" she said wearily her optics falling dim, "Now we have to be extra considerate for the time being. Maybe Ratchet should just salvage all the Energon in this body."
"Why would you even consider such an act?" he said glaring slightly.
Her face turned nervous as she waved her hands in front of her, "w-well, if you guys really get that desperate i mean." She then wiped a hand down her form, "this isn't me, why would you be bothered if i was drained of Energon or not?" She then said.
"You feel pain?"
"Yes?"
"Then it bothers me." He then swiftly turned his back on her, "whatever form, it is still a form of life, even if it was once a machine; it changed when your mind was transferred into it and is of better use on the battlefield."
Well her attention was captivated for the first half until he explained her role, "so if i was..."
"Now this will definitely come in handy." Came Wheeljack's voice from afar.
"What have you found?" Ultra Magnus inquired as Wheeljack's back was facing them.
"I know this is probably stupid to think but is it the Star Saber?" Ellen asked cupping her hands together clenching them tightly.
"Better." he announced.
"Better?" they both said as she and Ultra Magnus glanced at each other.
"Resources are first priority perhaps..." he pondered to her before Wheeljack spun around triumphantly.
Ellen giggled oblivious of what he held, "heh, a lobbing ball..." her optic suddenly twitched as Ultra Magnus frowned intensely. "Lobbing ball?! Okay, i guess it would help your mentality but that is a very leading off tone Wheeljack." she argued placing her hands on her hips.
"You should not have concluded so yourself." Ultra Magnus told her as she threw her arms in front towards Wheeljack not really understanding her position in this.
"Wha-? Why am i getting lectured? And by you?" She huffed slightly folding her arms. "And to think we were nearly reaching the status of 'colleague'."
"Focusing on the flaws encourages development in younger more inexperienced bots, but in saying that Wheeljack should have known better." He stated walking towards said bot.
"Hey, don't judge someone else's perspective, Sir." Wheeljack said walking past the bot as he stared at the lobbing ball for a long while before... "hey kid think fast!" he suddenly cried lobbing it at her as before she could tilt her head and ask 'huh?' her helm was sent back as she was sent flying onto her back.
"Soldier!" Ultra Magnus scolded Wheeljack.
"Er, my bad. I guess the kids signal reflexes are faulty, better have the Doc look at that." he said stumbling over to her as he pulled her up by the arm like she were dead. Her helm spun slightly as her optics were cross eyed, "you okay kid?" he asked. "Heh, i guess you're a little too soft sparked to be a Wrecker." He jested.
She stared intently at Wheeljack as she squinted, if she were thinking normally her answer would have been 'ya think?' instead she was deluded in the processor, "y-you have the b-b-ridge numbeeeer ooone" speaking drivel almost falling into him as he took hold of one arm and tried to hold her weight by placing the other arm around her shoulder.
"Hey look at that, she's fine a regular re-bounder." He said mistaking the behavior for normal.
"Are you functioning?" Ultra Magnus asked her gripping her arm as she was one sided.
She looked 'drunkenly' at Ultra Magnus seeing almost double of himself, she shooed Wheeljack away telling him that she was fine standing on her own. She swayed slightly but convinced them she was fine but then she fell forward into Ultra Magnus instead wrapping her arms around his hips like a tree, he had no idea how to bring her back to her feet without the need to physically help her back up, and it didn't help with the big wide giggling grin she was giving him, "H-Hey Uncle M-Magnus!" she called pawing her hands at the same time as trying to stop herself falling. "So-so wha-...so what are you doin'? Can-can i have a hug? I-i found-i found this song, you need-you need to listen to this song this song reminded me of you...aw man I'm sorry...I just...i just-i just really need a hug right now." her voice was building up as a choke. "What the lump, why won't you hold me?"
"You..." he started refraining a calm frame of mind, "are suffering temple trauma, but you have to focus and cease this behavior before i am forced to put you into stasis." He continued.
she raised a spinning finger, "And by the way, my name is not Juvenile anymore i want you to call me Duchess gummy buns."
"Focus Juvenile." He said as she slowly fell forward still clinging to his waist, "Ellen!"
She almost looked shocked to his sudden raised voice as her optics dimmed, he almost thanked Primus that he could be released from this mental torment, but was right to not speak so soon, "you think you're so-ooo big, you scavenger of bot misery." She started angrily but her speech still slurred. "Your shoulder pads are unpractical, you have the personality of sand paper and you have a fat aft. Yeah i went there glitch, Dr-a-ma Bomb. See, all i wanted was a hug and your being a total poser about it. i miss my Dad, and i wanna hug him but i can't because i can't keep up with him now with his flying giant butterfly wings or whatever. I mean, sure he looks great now, he's still fat but it suits him." She continued slight Energon crocodile tears falling down her face.
"I have no idea what's happening right now, but i hope it lasts..." Wheeljack said taking amusement in this scenario.
Ultra Magnus ignored Wheeljack's comments, "you are delirious." He said to her flatly as he tilted her helm thinking perhaps he could solve it himself, "I better let Ratchet handle this."
Wheeljack rolled his eyes to the melodrama, "Aw come on, all she needs is another whack here." He said slapping her at the side of the head.
"Wheeljack!" Ultra Magnus exclaimed.
"d-double s-s-s-stuffed o-o-oreo...m-mm..." Ellen said her optics falling back into place then noticing Ultra Magnus held her about five feet away from his with his hands on her waist, "Oh by the guardian of Crystal City what did i do?" she asked.
"See? Fine." Wheeljack told him smugly before placing a hand on Ellen's helm, "I threw the lobbing ball at you; you just got a bit glitched in the processor is all." He reassured.
"And fell?" she said figuring she must have due to her hanging off Magnus' waist.
"Can you stand upright?" he asked very uncomfortably.
"O-Oh Primus! ew-ew." She said finding her feet and brushing herself down as she felt a shudder fill her entire form, "Gross, i don't even want to think about how much of an idiot i was probably being." she shuddered again, "Dude, seriously what is with the child bearing hips? good g-rrr-ief."
"Let's return to base without further disruptions." He said glaring harshly at Wheeljack as Ellen continued to wipe herself down.
Wheeljack sighed, "Fine." He said picking his lobbing ball, "but not without this." He added.
she forgot her 'Magnus-titis' as the canine's were off there leads again. "Great!" she started awkwardly, "now that you two are finally buddy-buddy you can work together even better in future tasks. Huh? Huh?" she said trying to lift the mood whilst holding her helm. "ooo-ooh that hurts, that really hurts."
"A word of further advice, depending on the role and nature be cautious of certain bots, who are in certain situations unpredictable." Ultra Magnus advised her as Wheeljack grinded his jaw about to speak before she petted his shoulder.
"Y-Yeah i know, I've made a slight mistake when going on a short trip with...er, similar beings before, but it turned out fine. I'm guessing the task wasn't easy for you on Cybertron?" she said as she heard a frustrated groan behind her. "th-that is because of your, 'conflicting' natures? Is it hot in here or is it the tension I've put in the air?"
"A challenge but easily adaptable." He said as he noticed her curious expression, "and it's an undesired past experience i don't want to share."
"There's gotta be some records of that. come on, how about the siege of Hydrax Plataeu?" she let her mouth hang as she thought, "surrounded by the Sea of Rust..." she started of dramatically. "and then...?" she said giving Ultra Magnus his cue.
He ceased the banter as he touched the top of his helm, "Doctor, requesting Groundbridge." He said through his comm link.
"Stand by Ultra Magnus, just for precaution." Ratchet replied.
"i will hear that epic and u-ultimately tragic event from your perspective, S-Sir." she stated with nervous confidence to his understandable reaction. "hug?" she said.
