Sorry about the original post. I just realized it messed up somehow when I posted it. But here it really is.

Hello my lovelies of the MR fandom! It is I, Roza, here to grace you all with an update. I know you love me. I know you missed me. I have returned….

Max: just get on with it!

Me: spoil sport. I own nothing.

Chapter nine

Max POV

"This is so not fair," I huffed, sitting in my chair. It took all my willpower to remain in my human form. My anger is boiling hot, and that is never good.

"You rejected his offer to dance," Sarah reminded me as she and Flare flitted past.

"So? You came with Iggy and dancing with Flare," I mumbled.

We have been at the Arizona High dance for an hour now. The first thirty minutes was spent by Nudge making me let girls gush over my outfit. Then Fang spent ten minutes trying to convince me to dance with him. Now he's dancing with Redhead Lissa. And I'm pissed off (read: jealous).

"Maybe you should've been my date. I wouldn't had deserted you like that," Flare said when they danced by again. I almost didn't trip the two of them up.

"Maybe you should stay away from me," I growled.

The two shrugged and spun away. I returned to glaring at the guy who claims to have feelings for me. He was holding (clinging) Lissa close to his body. So close. He's only held me that close to him before. It's not fair!

After making sure no one was watching, I zipped out of the building and to the roof. Taking a deep breath, I spread my wings and let out my fangs. I'm getting twitchy. Bottles of blood are good and all, but I need a fresh feed. But Dad says no. Says I will put us in danger. So that coupled with Fang and Flare being douches is making me an unhappy Maxie.

"Your wings are gorgeous," Flare said behind me. Speak of the devil. I folded them in but kept them out.

"Go back Sarah. I came up here to be alone." I huffed when he walked to me anyway and put his hands on my hips. 'He doesn't listen to me!'

"Maxie, you know a 2nd century is nothing compared to you. You are much more… experienced." I shivered at the intense suggestion in his voice. This is what I've wanted since I was 2 centuries old: Flare giving me his undivided attention. And yet, now it's not enough.

"No. This isn't what…." I felt Nudge's emotions go from giddy to surprised to disappointed to irrational fear of me. That last one, irrational fear of me, got my attention. Only one thing could cause that.

"Max, what's wrong?" Flare asked right before I zipped back into the room the dance was being held. I instantly saw the reason of Nudge's change of emotions: Fang's betrayal.

"Max, it's not what it looks like," Nudge said as she walked to me. I brushed past her and stormed straight to Fang.

"Nicholas," I said in the sweetest voice I could muster. He pulled away from his kiss with Lissa and turned around in time to catch my fist in the jaw. "How dare you tell me you love me one day and suck face with Redhead Wonder the next?!"

"M…Max. It's not…."

"What it looks like? Sorry Nudge has already taken that line. Try again." I crossed my arms over my chest, effectively hiding my secret misery.

"You know how I feel about you Maxie. I would never…." I wouldn't even let him finish.

"You just did! You kissed Lissa! What type of f***ed up thoughts were going through your head that made you figure that is ok?!"

Recipe for my vampire summoning anger: boil jealousy, add a big dash of betrayal, stir in a couple of pounds of lies, let simmer. Serve steaming.

"Max, your fangs," Flare muttered in my ear. I punched Fang in the nose before storming away.

"I'm going with you," Nudge said, joining my side (though she had to sort of skip to keep up). I thought about it for a minute. She has to stay with me.

"Fine." We made it outside. "On my back."

She obediently climbed on my back; I spread my wings and shot into the air.

Ok, stopping it here. Sarah's story will be shared in the next chapter. Also, results from Fang's 2nd betrayal will be revealed in the next chapter.

Also, I have started a MR and SAO crossover. Check it out when you can.

Reviews are greatly appreciated.
