A/N Pre-PR so just a little feels chapter, everythin goes out the window the soon as Cybertron is thrown into the mix, Ellen being silly, childish and what not with the hypeness of Cybertron and its many tales, either that or a really boring trip to a museum :P splitting the movie into parts as well is already confusing me X_X lol but it shouldn't take me that long i HOPE I'll explain further at the end :) but I hope by the end of this I can get some emotions from you guys as in the past I've had a few mentions of such feels ;P
davyscones, Nope still here and I'm glad I've managed to confuse you :P
keacdragon, Thank you :)
PrincessofDreams123, I have felt my stomach tense its pretty weird that after nearly two years its coming to an end, but there's always the prequel to this (that is i hope unlike many prequels it doesn't go wrong ^^;
ZabuzasGirl, Will do :)
Predacon Rising
From Earth and now Cybertron, on the other side they were at the foot of the Nemesis. Looking up to it Ellen watched the others emerge from the portal, she then looked to the floor, the planet's surface, metallic, no growth of anything organic "Hmm." She said with concern.
"Everything alright here?" Magnus asked beside her.
"I think Ms Darby was right about that anxiety." She said folding her arms around her shoulders, "I feel a little freaked knowing that I'll be here longer than a day out."
Magnus looked to the portal as Optimus emerged from it, "If you feel unable to carry out given tasks, perhaps you should return."
She waved frantic hands in front, "No I'm good, I-I'm very good. Just need to carry out some calming exercises." She said withdrawing a bit. "Y-eah anything that refers to being obsolete or imperfect, let's not have Magnus next to me."
He shook his head lightly, "Calm down." He said lightly, "Just a precaution." He looked her over with that kind of look that made most uncomfortable and awkward, "You're easily hysterical, has a psychological exam ever been enforced?" He said.
She shrugged, "Kind of, with a councillor."
"'Kind of'? You either have or you haven't." he said.
"Maybe…" Magnus dipped his head to emphasise a direct answer be more apparent, "Y-Yes...yes." she said in a small voice.
"Hm." He said as though he logged that away.
She sighed lightly. "I should really try to feel calm though, I'm getting a little shiver…if that's even possible." She smiled at him as he merely walked ahead of her as Optimus emerged from the bridge. "Hey…" she said slightly complaining.
"I'm not, your counciler." He called back.
"Got me there." She grinned.
With time to get their bearings, they were given a starting point as Ultra Magnus finished the debriefing, "And lastly our former enemies detained, and those questioned for hostility are ready at given command." Magnus informed.
Optimus nodded, "All in good time, in the meantime, Autobots I have an unpretentious matter to attend, I shall rendezvous with you at Kaon." He said.
"Matter?" Bumblebee said.
"Merely recon Bumblebee, nothing concerning." he reassured.
"And at Kaon?" Arcee questioned also.
"Sure, we have to start cleaning and where better to start then the filthiest area." Wheeljack said nudging her as he moved towards Smokescreen. "Come on kid, on the way let's play a little 'target' practice with anything Con lookin', I'll give you a few tips." He said smacking his shoulder.
"Oh come on, don't use me as the punching bag." Smoke said.
"I'm not. Everyone's gotta have weaknesses it's easier to improve when you admit them faster." He said transforming, burning rubber across the surface.
"B-But since when do you admit your weaknesses?" Smokescreen muttered before he thumbed over his shoulder to the others, "He's really deep sometimes, huh?" He noted transforming also following after him.
"No time like the present." Magnus said, "Sir." he said before transforming following after the others, Bumblebee close behind.
"So." Arcee said to Bulkhead, "do you think you can remember 'construction'?"
"Ha. Get the wheels turning again and I can build a city in a day." He stated.
"Granted that you don't end up destroying most of it before then." She added.
Bulkhead laughed, "You say that now, until you see the results."
With all parting there ways Ellen with her hands behind her back swayed back and forth as she felt a rise of excitement standing with Optimus, and it didn't take long to arise as she tugged on his arm suddenly, "Come onnn." She said playfully.
He fought against the tug as he felt mentally fatigued suddenly at her behaviour, "Ellen…" he lazily warned as she tugged harder. "I cannot-."
"Where did you work?" she asked anxiously looking around.
He lifted a heavy hand in the direction to a specific city knowing how difficult it would be to win this argument and state the realism and the facts with those hopeful optics that reflected her human eyes almost perfectly, "That building. that sits directly between the city." He sighed. "Elle-"
"Let's go then." She said about to sprint forward as he pulled her back making her paw at the air. "Everyone's getting a lay of the land- I bet, a quick look at things and then meet up again."
"You are just making a vague statement." He said.
"Well…sure it's vague but it's valid, everyone has there direction. What are you doing?" She asked him as she followed his optics that clearly tried to avoid hers. "D-ad? What are you doing?" she teased.
"You were already informed." He answered with looking upwards. "This is not-"
"Don't say it." She said.
he mentally sighed, seeing her switch between from excitable to grimaced. it was a difficult time on Cybertron but in the past had gave his word to show her his world...he was planning on heading to Iacon but he feared time would prolonged due to her tendencies to see, question and whilst here sure to let her mind turn unattentive...but even still, more than ever, they have to use this time. "...Its nothing, what you would consider, 'typical'. I was only going to say that this is not an engaging objective, only gathering intelligence." He argued.
She rubbed the side of her arm a little embarrassed as she regained a pleasant look on her face, "Oh, is that all? S-Sorry, I'm just being paranoid…"
"Only as a result of my own doing." he finished as she looked to the floor.
"No...i'm pretty sure i'm paranoid." she said lightly.
"I recall that we agreed you would behave as you did so on Earth?"
Her legs turned restless, "I can't help it." She laughed before waggling a finger at him. "Human curiosity is not something you can restrain with a lecture." she argued grinning.
Optimus pinched his forehead, "I suddenly find myself unable to read you." he admitted, a little distracting considering where they are. "Are you able to keep up with me?" he then asked as a serious statement.
She waved two hands from behind her helm, "Said the human to the bot." She said as he took a step forward. She couldn't decide what he was doing until he suddenly transformed, pulling up in front of her as she looked ahead and transformed herself then started to drive off ahead of him. "Okay I'm going to need some direction myself here…wh-where do I stop?" she called back to him.
"Straight ahead, until I say otherwise." He said.
"You're just saying that to try to win this race, I'm going to end up on one of your moons with your devious directions an- hey!" She called as he overtook her with ease.
"Instead of thinking what I might have intended, focus on what I am doing now." He said.
She started to focus on her acceleration, "I am- your using jet power you jerk."
"You specified no rules." He argued.
Optimus ended up getting far ahead of her, but in the end she somehow managed to win, and when she was told to stop she transformed mid acceleration, throwing her arms up, "Aw yeah, who? What is my name?" she cheered but calmed down as she pointed a finger at him, "but I know you let me win, no way was I going to out-drive those things come on."
"I would never suggest the idea." He said looking mock serious.
She rolled her optics upwards, "Alright, I 'won' but the next drive will be to Ka-…Kaon." looking around she slightly froze, Optimus watched on as she made mumbling sounds as though she were about to convulse. Not like any 'capitol' she had been too. Above looked like there once stood a large bridge, the beginning of the bridge was the same as the end stripped of its middle counterpart.
"A bridge, no the bridge connecting from the city." She muttered. "This, is Iacon?" she asked.
"In its current state." Optimus stated.
"Your buildings are so tall, you have bridges to reach the higher levels." Her mouth hung open as she spun around slowly, "So-so how long until restoration do you think?" she asked half concentrated on the conversation to the large inhuman design the buildings held, most with heavy damage some looked damaged only by age.
She looked dazed, as he held amusement to himself. "It all depends on how many return but with a former constructor, I predict years however there are numerous factors that could add to those years." He said watching her nod though was very sure she wasn't listening, "Found something more interesting to you?" he asked.
She turned her head slowly with a blank expression at first before she made a nervous laugh, "Heh-heh, er, I don't mean to be rude." She said looking over the area, "You don't realise how much you can see at this height, when coming here as a human the metallic dust-covered up the horizon it was like smog but seeing it again at this view." She shook her head trying to choose her words, "even as a fallen city…'Q of the continuum' this place is...Man you guys were spoilt." She said.
He looked on ahead thinking of the path they would take, but averted back to her as he watched the smile on her face, a similar smile she expressed when snow would fall on the base back in San Diego…It had been an interesting experience he thought to remind himself. He shut his optics slightly remembering that he had his own objective and had little time to reflect upon as approaching her, patted her shoulder, "Come." He said moving ahead as she looked back every few seconds to get another look, "If we go through the city we can make it on the other side for a shorter route to Kaon right after the intended location." He said.
She followed as she had to rub her cheeks to how overused her jaw was, looking at the buildings in particular though despite their half constructed selves, the platforms above them were roads, she guessed anyway in case she was wrong. taken her vision from high above her she noted the floor level and a feel of guilt met and clashed with her excitement, of course it had slipped her mind that during all the conflict there was not even time to lay the dead to rest…of course over time the debris that had set, somewhat buried the fallen, but even still.
She mentally cringed but didn't look away or gasp, just stared. Twisted metal, torso, legs, arms, optics, empty sparks, snapped jaws that oozed Energon and was still very much present around their bodies, Optimus observed her at every given chance, to answer what her expression asked, "Another priority." He said snapping her away from the scene, "All who lay here will once again be able to provide for a newly sparked being." He said.
"Oh." She said quietly, "Seems kind of...i don't know disrespectful."
"It is a cycle, when first sparked that new spark will grow, learn, gain abilities and experience." he explained. "Then when that Cybertronian has reached its time, the spark returns to the well with all that knowledge he/she has gained."
"Oh...so is that why when you guys are born, you already know certain things, transforming, communicating that sort of thing?" she said.
he nodded, "However we still teach one another, we do not possess all knowledge."
She lifted her head despite the eerie view, "What did you think about us then? You know, how we're born without knowledge of anything, we're taught it."
"It was interesting to see different teaching methods, ultimately may have resulted in the influencing of the personality, even the basis of learning to walk, communicate, socialization, life stages."
she narrowed her eyes playfully, "Any 'life stage' in particular you found, hmm, difficul-"
"adolescent." he answered straight away as she snickered into her hand. "Specifically ages thirteen, disregard of set boundaries..."
"heh-heh, o-okay Dad..."
"continuous habit to ignore my authority..."
"Dad."
"Your usual paroxysm usually lasts for a limited time of under twelve hours, but that day..."
"Dad please not in front of...nobody."
"Some days, almost pierced your very spark." he finished as a serious statement.
"Alright, you made your point apprentice of comedy." she folded her arms as she frowned at him, "Well...at least you don't talk about me at parties or with teachers." she smiled shyly as she gave him a light punch, "I hated some days, but i guess thinking back it wasnt that bad." she said sighing as she looked back to the ground. "Hm." There were some things she had seen before, some she hadn't, that is some-one. "Did some of the ones here have a different er…different…"
"Class?" he guessed.
"Y-Yeah…" she said pointing, "Like that one…it's a different frame it's almost as though he hunched over."
he looked where she pointed and suddenly became locked with the form, before turning back to the path he was walking, "They are Leapers…" he answered with grim realism.
"H-Huh? Th-Their Leapers?!" she strained to say still pointing, "S-So big."
"And merciless." He added looking upon them, "However, hatred will serve no purpose here, only lead to its lonely end." He finished carrying on.
His particular tone led her off as she jogged after him, "They were that bad?"
He frowned, "Comparing one-act of tyranny to another has no meaning, it's equal to each other no matter the form." He said as she withdrew a little, as a flinching act. "Ellen?"
"S-Sorry it's just…your tone." She said. "Your pretty scary when you have your er, 'moments'."
He beckoned his hand as she walked up confused, "The aggressions of the past has seemed to ensnare me, I became hypocritical to my statement, I am sorry." He said placing his hand on her helm, he then leant his head close as he lightly smiled at her for reassurance.
She smiled slowly and, felt a little nostalgic. "Th-That's alright, just caught me off guard a little, besides i can never understand what went on here, how you guys felt, and went through. And whatever, hardcore right?" she said lightly before lowering her tone "And I just keep forgetting that this isn't a fantasy of mine, it's a gritty realism." She said. "Well…at least I'm exploring through here with you." she said giving him a light shove though not moving him an inch.
"That so." He humoured.
She nudged him with her elbow, "Mm-hm, because as soon as I go home, I'm going to get myself sectioned in the dreaded 'white room'" she said with melodrama.
"you are acting hysterical." He dipped his head, "And excitable on an average level since arriving here." He said, "Though I believe, the closer you get to a fear, it turns to panic."
"What fear? Why closer? Who's panicking?" she said as he walked on she made it so that she was very close behind, "B-But real mode now." She took a hold of his hand, "I'm impressionable right? therefore unforgettable like emotional trauma...wait what?"
"That is one form of description." he said lightly as she nodded seemingly pleased with that answer...before turning to a frown.
"Now see, that could mean anything, you could be pointing out my flaws that I'm loud and therefore unforgettable, or-or maybe it's a literal question and maybe if you got amnesia again or-"
"Ellen."
"Sorry…" she sighed, "So…where are these towers you got me all worked up about?"
"You cannot see them from here." He said, "Just a short distance further on."
Continuing on she looked left, right, all around as she wondered of each fate of those who lay rusted, what was their plan, their purpose, what they said, what they did. But the area itself was a specific place of where a battle occurred. "Dad? What happened here?"
"Decepticons were trying to breach the shielding on the Ark…they were to hold them back to buy time."
"Oh wait, that one." She rubbed her wrists that eerie feeling that they were currently the only living among them, "I think I prefer the story description."
He stopped, "Right there." He said pointing upwards as she followed his direction.
As said, they still stood, the celestial towers, they were particularly thin for towers that is but very appealing to the optic, "Aw cool…it's only the top that's really ravaged but there still standing, do you think the statues are still there?" She said placing a hand on her hip, "Heh, ooh de-s-tinyyy." she said in a ghoulish mocking tone.
"Destiny can refer to each choice of every individual and how their actions can always lead to a consequence." He expressed.
"Now that I can believe. But do we have to give it a title? Supernatural stuff like that just feels forced to me, I can't find myself investing into the idea despite everything that's happened." She said.
"I understand the point you are making." he carried on to another section with a higher level scaling the broken wall, "Up here." He said lending her a hand.
"Wow a lot of…a lot of climbing around here." She commented taking his hand.
"The lift platform is out." he said pointing to a lower deck with debris covering the area.
"Ah, right. Is that your loose term for an elevator?" She said. "I'm alien can't you tell?" she commented to herself finding her footing though slipping a little as he leant a little more forward, "I'm alright." She informed but he provided her a hand up anyway. "I thought we were going through the city?"
"This provides a better angle." He said looking over the city.
"This place has more layers than an onion." She said catching the reflected light, "it's like, one big highway. Makes sense." She turned around as she saw a curved shaped building, unlike the tall thinner building this one was wide. "Now that buildings awfully specific."
"You wanted to see my old station, here it is." He said.
She slightly gawked up tilting her head as far as she could just to get a full view of the building, "The Hall of Records?" she asked.
"Yes." He said fondly with a hint of sadness, "I have not been here, what feels an eternity." He started to walk as Ellen looked over the edge of the linked path they walked.
"how many levels are there?" she wondered to what seemed like an endless pit, she cupped a palm over her forehead, from the top there was that glow that went with each level but as it went deeper it seemed to dim with light to almost darkness. Out of curiosity she picked up a piece of metal debris as she hovered it over the edge.
"Ellen." Optimus said as she stared at him. He shook his head.
She looked over the debris and put it down, forgetting the obvious of creating too much noise, "How far down does it go?" she asked him instead.
"Factories, the pits, the places that in the past were considered, our meaningless labour." He said with his back to her.
"So, they barely had any light from the surface?" she said. "That's the lower caste, restricted to practically everything." She noted.
"What the higher governs considered as factory drones…barely without a name, privileged to get a number, most without even an identity." He said. "I was, unknown to how 'low' you can be classed as before i met Megatron and what went on in the pits."
"That's sad." She said. "Wait so Megatron named himself after the Fallen, so his name before that…?"
"His identity was originally by a number." He said.
She slightly shuddered, "I did not know that, it's a little scary, I mean even now on Earth, when you go to the doctors, the post office, you feel insignificant, I never really liked long queues they scared me with that unison of marching feet and the robotic sounding tone of 'next'." She watched as he stood at the entrance reaching a hand out to the once sealed doors now a wreckage from the Decepticons raid of the building. "D-Dad. What if you see something you didn't want to see?" she asked clasping a hand around his wrist, "I mean, Alpha Trion he…"
"I should be asking you that." He said lightly.
she shook her head, "No, you had ties here...i didn't." she said. "It won't…it won't get to me. I won't let it." She reassured.
"You can remain here?" he suggested though knew very likely to an instant decline.
"What? and miss this? what did you think we were, pfft i don't know bonding?" she jested. "No, no I'm fine." She said. "You can remain here?"
"Do you know what I am searching for?" he asked.
"Erm, Lugia?" she blurted randomly as he bared a flat expression. "So you're fine with this, but i still want to see…the structure that is. This 'infamous' place you've talked about while you go searching for 'knowledge' and stuff."
With confirmation he stuck his head into the dark area, there was a very low glow enough to see the path ahead of them but barely. "Cybertron is still recovering." He said turning his headlights on then turned his head to her, "Stay close and alert."
She looked down to her side, the headlights that sat just below her chest plates, "Hmm…" she thought clenching her optics slightly as they lit up, "Heh, lights on, I'm a total pro now." she joked stepping into the building.
Looking around it was like a crumbly old site at first but walking along the long hallway, she noticed up ahead a brighter area, a light shined on this large platform that almost appeared bacon like. Optimus looked around warily before walking up to the platform, a very old-looking and rusted control panel as he dusted off the rust.
Ellen slightly frowned as she walked onto it also looking up she gawked, she couldn't really count the levels, but straight up was rows of, what she could only guess to be data pads sitting in large segments of the walls alongside shelves like a maze they spiraled in a neat fashion around the building, she expected it to look library like but no. "It looks like the movie Tron." She muttered as she tried to tippy toe to get a better look of the design though lost balance in doing. She watched Optimus from behind as he starting tapping at the control panel, "Do you think that might still be working?" she asked her voice thrown around the building.
"The outcome does not look that way." He said the corner of his mouth lifted to a small smile, "However, in the past, it has been known to be 'temperamental'" he admitted, "sometimes a little- force is needed." He said giving it a light hit. A sound of charging was heard as the lift brightened within its own radius, "I was hoping for this outcome."
"Wow…I was expecting you to resurrect it or something." she said.
"Time can ravage, it was simply just a minor seal up." He argued.
"True." She said as the platform began to raise she looked over the edge the technology of the lift was non comparable to any of Earths, holographic in appearance which confused her even more, "I have trouble with my malware software I'm not even going to try to understand this." She looked up to the ceiling.
He looked amusingly at her, "you do look inquisitive." He noted. "My processor is struggling to respond fast enough."
She stepped back in a flinched movement rubbing the back of her helm, "I'd love to climb this place. But can't really do that when you're here."
"Are you suggesting that I acquire too much restraint?" he said.
"Yeah..." She joked lightly as the lift stopped, "Okay! Let's-go-to-the-library!" She cheered moving on the subject with a raised fist. "Why-why would I even express that so eagerly?" she cringed as he shook his head moving forward with caution.
The comment made him think of the librarian side to himself as it just came to him in his old enviroment, "Cybertrons history is a truly fascinating endeavour, older than you can imagine, generations before us once visited thousands of worlds like yours..." He said lost in thought.
Ellen blinked to how passionate he suddenly sounded, "Dad…do you want to sit down?" She teased.
"You should read more." He put it simply.
"I do, but I'll get my books online thank you." she said lightly pushing him. "After you old boy." she saluted.
With metallic footsteps it made it sound all the more large as a stature building, she watched as Optimus looked over the stored data pads that were either destroyed or few that were salvageable. He shook his head to the lost knowledge of his people, he turned looking at Ellen as she looked on sympathetically, "Don't look so solemn, we can make new history."
She pulled a face, "Y-You're the one shaking your head." She noted walking deeper into the library looking over the place herself. "Some of them look intact." She added picking up an undamaged data pad. "What's this one say?" she squinted her eyes vaguely translating the written language, "My-myths…and, lo…lo-re? Qu-Qu-in-tes-ons? Mara-Al-Utha?" she tilted her head, before laughing, "What kind of name is that? Sounds like a horrible rash." She shoved It back where she found it as she continued her search all the while calling over her shoulder to him, "So, hey what are you looking for?"
"Sources of information that you need not ask of at this time." He said noticing open her mouth after 'that'.
She shrugged looking down, "Well you will tell me if it was serious right? Maybe a zombie spider that will come down from the moon prophecy?" she said picking up a fallen data pad that caught her attention as she oddly flinched when doing so, "A-Ah…" she muttered placing her hand around her back.
Optimus put his data pad down as he knelt to her side, "What is it?" he asked hovering a hand around her back.
"My back gave out." she said straightening up, "its fine, its-its stopped now." She told him.
He raised an eyebrow, "The back? Do you feel any lodgement, between the plating?" he asked.
"Don't think so. Ratchet gave her a look over before we left." She said.
He looked her over as he thought to bring up another topic, "And, what of the visions?" he asked.
She looked at him, "How would you know that? I mean in this?" she asked.
"Any abnormal activity is reported to me." He reminded.
She shook her head, "I, didn't think that it would follow my psyche into this body." She said. "I've had nothing for a while, not since the fight on the Nemesis, but that's all...some ability huh? I either find something full of consequence or something I can't even use rendering it useless." She said with light sarcasm.
He let his hand rest on her back, "Whatever it is you find, I have noticed you to trigger events."
"If you say so." She said doing some light stretches for her back.
"Singular beings can sometimes bring about change then what a thousand have attempted to do in a single lifetime." he said.
"I think i'm more of a postman." she said her body slightly straining.
he averted his optics upwards as a typical gesture, "I want you to tell me of any changes as soon as they occur, manifestation, discomfort, sharp pain anything abnormal." He told her.
"You know it's not really a calm environment when you mention sharp pain." She said.
"Do you recall how Megatron was able to lead us to Unicrons spark? Through his connection with the Anti-spark?" he said.
"Sure, he was going nuts right, like when you go cold turkey." She said simply.
"Then you know the reality and possibility of what Dark Energon can grant. I am just concerned that if anything did manifest, it would be difficult to expel without us knowing the level of power we are dealing with." He reminded.
"You mean because we can't see what Dark Energon did to me?" she said, "See how frustrating it is not knowing what will happen?"
"Do not jest." He said placing his hand on her helm, "Why is it, you can be very cautious or very reckless?"
She raised her arms up, "Ha, you got me I'm an extremist."
He looked past her as he mustered her to follow him, "here." He said. He led her to a small work station placed in front of the open outlook, able to get a view of the city and beyond. She wondered about the reflected material they used for windows, but dubbed it as glass as she was more focused on the view. Optimus however tapped away at a small keyboard lit up by holographic keypads.
"Remember that crappy 3D movie we saw with all the nice imagery? Got nothing on this." She said as she watched him concentrate, a screen twice the size of them in diameter lit up in front of them as he continued typing, "Dad, I know you're going all super nerd but, can I say something?"
"Hm?" he said stopping in mid type as he straightened up.
She looked at his arm as her face turned serious suddenly, she then lifted a heavy hand lightly gripping his arm, "I'm going to miss you." She said as she slowly moved into him, he was hesitant at first before he placed an arm around her. "But, I have to find my own way now. I can't be clinging to you all my life, or i'll never find my own way, i'll never progress if i only look up to you."
His gripped tightened a little, "It is a natural process." He said looking at her, "The words that come from the mouths of babes." he mused. "Why now to say this?"
"Have to fit it in somehow, just thought I'd mention it, in case you worried about me." She shrugged acting as though she couldn't care less.
he knelt slightly, just enough for optic height, "But, if you ever find yourself in a predicament, I will still be there to help you wherever we are, you do not need to abandon this tie completely." He said as she puffed a laugh. "Do not speak as though you are alone either."
She leant up against him placing a cupped hand over his torso, "Thanks…" she said flatly her expression withered.
He chuckled slightly, "I have told you, too much anticipation can leave you fatigued." he asked.
"Huh? O-Oh…" she wiped a hand over her face, in doing so she looked at her hand a tinted glow of what was no doubt, "Energon?" she questioned showing him her hand.
"Hm, perhaps a fault? Minor damage?" He said inquisitively, "Or I would not limit the soul, it is known to reach as far as the Universe expands." He told her.
She smiled warmly but rolled her optics at him, "I'll go with fault Mr. Disney." She jested resting her head against him as she looked out, then she unknowingly looked to her hand that rested there against his torso, she noticed he had looked to the work station no doubt recalling nostalgia, and she just stared at the armour plating that protected his spark, she then lifted her hand as she moved her hand a little closer over his spark chamber a flat expression over her face as she cupped her hand into a clawed position, Then it changed as though she had just became self-aware and she shook her head swiftly.
"Ellen?" Optimus asked as she abruptly moved away from him.
"Hm? What's wrong?" she replied. "I was just shaking my head, got a bit of back splash from that Energon that came out. Feels weird when it hits you in the optics, because it's pretty thick." She wiped her optics with a finger to make sure she had got it all. "I mean, I don't think I've ever seen any tears from you guys."
"Our biology allows durability." He said still looking inquisitive to her behavior.
"I gathered that, just wondering your limits." She replied.
"Shall we continue to Kaon?" he asked.
She looked around, "Don't you want to stay longer? Did you get what you needed?"
"Yes." he acknowledged the building himself, "I have my memories, this building can be re-built. I would like to think that these empty shelves will be filled once more." He said placing a hand on her shoulder as they exited the building. "To be accessed by everyone."
Ellen frowned as she had felt a little moved from that. "Yeah right...you just don't want to get there and everyone is waiting for you." she said.
"It would be inappropriate, especially for a ceremony." He said.
"Ceremony?"
"Bumblebee was valiant this day." He explained.
"So, what promotion?" She looked to the Star Saber attached to his back as she pulled on it, "You going to be traditional about it? the way you've described promotions its kind if like a, knighthood."
He turned, "It would not be as grand I am afraid, more simple. I only wish that he be recognised to an extent he deserves."
"Ah, you'll speech it up." She said eyeing up a pillar that was one of the structures which held up the building, and ever so randomly starting climbing up it shimmying all the way.
"Down." Optimus simply said whose optics were not even watching her actions.
She started swinging laying her head back, "Oh-no…a foot from the floor hope I can make it at the exact angle or I might break my neck." She shrugged jumping down.
"I hope you do not misunderstand this, but you are behaving, 'childishly'." He muttered.
She snorted, "I am a child…by law anyway." She placed her hands behind her back, "I just feel like I can let loose." She said casually strutting. "Why? don't you like me acting this way? it's just temporal."
He frowned confused, "No, i just find it curious, Given the circumstances."
"The circumstance now, not Cybertrons. It's been a long while since I've been on a 'scout out' with you and since you got your upgrade it's really hard to keep up with you now." she said with hard acceptance. "Anyway, Kaon. I know we're short for time but could we maybe take the scenic route? That highway looked awesome, some connected straight to a building and the levelled structures and that weird glowing blue thing with the sparkly blue stuff floating out of it…"
She continued to talk as Optimus walked onto the lift listening patiently, Ellen followed oblivious of her movement but still making numerous points to what she's seen and wants to see.
"How about your place of base? And what's that tower over there? What do you think happened to those slug things? Do you think they starved? And what about the prisons in Kaon, you said they impounded some of their Autobots prisoners." he suddenly stopped as she felt the size of sudden tension.
"Do not think of it so lightly." He scolded being wary to choose his words, she felt off but chose to observe her behaviour than provoke.
Her optics widened like a sad puppy, "It was just for future notes, i-i just got a little carried away." She said. "The prisons? Really Ellen? now he thinks you're a sociopath."
He looked her over, "When we move to Kaon, we move silently." He said.
"I can still comm right?"
"Yes."
"Dad?" she said as he looked again, "I'm sorry, I really am I must have just run out of questions for once and blurted out anything to pop into my head. I didn't mean to offend you."
"No harm was done and I was not offended, just-"
"Concerned." She finished as he nodded, "Now…how about that Q and A? P-lease?"
He laid a hand on his forehead, "If I answer you, will you not let your mind wander?"
"Hm, sure. If I see anything I'll put that into the reserve section." She said tapping her helm.
"Very well. Now, we must double our pace, we have fallen behind." He told her as she nodded goofily. He folded his arms as he let a finger tap against his shoulder, "Now listen." He told her as he activated the control panel to the lift descending back down. "Our former bases scattered around Cybertron, one located right here In Iacon…" he begun explaining…
In vehicle form for the most part the two covered ground through the less open areas for stealth, Ellen was still indulged, poking and prodding anything she could find, at one point chasing after one of the planets metal parasites that usually dwell in the under core, eventually catching and showing it to Optimus like she had found a lost puppy she wanted to keep.
"No…" he said simply.
"But look how cute he is, sure he hasn't got a face and just looks like a game console with legs but he has so much character and potential…"
"No." he repeated.
A little further on, due to certain areas closed off from fallen buildings they were forced to take a more shaded area, "tread slowly through here." He said as she watched what she was standing on, without her optics it would've been pitch black to a human eye, when in these sort of areas she could really hear the creaking sounds of how rusted and broken the area was, she heard drips, creaks, and their own footsteps.
It got darker as they ducked under a large collapsed pillar, then ahead a narrow but straight path, however it was so compact. They kept quiet as they passed through, treating each step as though a landmine was just underneath, Ellen suddenly halted as she let her mouth open a little, she felt a gust of wind blow past her gently… "Wind?" she thought.
The sudden feel of something that should be nonexistence got her back up as she suddenly classed every sound as abnormal transforming her arm into her primary weapon about to raise it Optimus took a hold of her arm, "Easy." He said through the comm, "Analyse." He reminded.
"Right." She said lowering her arm, "Okay don't go nuts, what is real and what isn't, the creaking sound is the pillar behind us, the drips are Energon…that wind, belonged to possible threat." she thought. "Relatable sounds, relatable sounds…" she repeated to herself as a she heard a humming sound from behind. "Da-"
"I know." He said. "Get down!" he cried as she threw herself forward, Optimus unveiled the Saber as he threw it upwards like a shuriken, the identified target being an Insecticon, before he could make that devastating cry was split down the middle by the sword as it collapsed in a heap, Ellen spun herself around on her side as she blinked awed. "It is likely to presume that not every Insecticon was on Earth." Optimus said swiftly retrieving the Saber from the corpse.
Ellen took a moment to comprehend how quick an engagement that was. "Ya think. There might be more, i mean 'pfft' why leave one sentry to guard the cities?" Ellen noted as she looked up, "I think the universe hates me…"
"Screeeeeeech!" came another his claws latched to the sidewalls as he lunged down, Ellen felt her spark beat and a sudden heat over her form, her optics locked like predator on prey.
She stepped in front of Optimus whose back was facing the creature as she held her a cupped hand up in front of her, "come here." She teased darkly, it was very sudden as the Insecticon forced its weight onto her as she held that cupped hand around its head, Optimus raised the Saber quickly…*slash*
Its body fell on her as she grunted trying to move herself from under it, "Give me your hand." Optimus said in a commanding tone.
She was to her feet as she brushed her hands off looking at the Energon stains on her hands, "You see that?" she expressed excitedly. Optimus looked over the Insecticon, Its head impaled but not by the Saber.
"Yes." He said flatly.
Ellen flexed her fingers, "Fast reflexes, and I'm usually lazy so i didn't think that would change a thing." She said. "Wish I was able to do that with that other Insecticon that attacked Arcee."
"Ellen." he said pointing a flat palm in the direction of the Insecticon.
She frowned slightly her optics blinking, "Yeah…" her optics blinked again as he watched her concerned, "It's not great is it." She finally said as his face relaxed a little. "Why are you making that known?"
"Just to be sure, I mentioned that after years of war some Autobots would get used to even become crazed with the thought of killing? They were so focused on keeping themselves alive that they had lost sight of what we were fighting for to begin with." He reminded.
"Oh yeah…you could've just ended with that remember question, I would've got what you meant then instead of giving me an origin story." She said.
He shook his head lightly, "I explained what you asked of me." He said looking over the body, "Speaking realistically." He knelt, "It's a clean strike."
Ellen grinned rubbing the back of her helm, "It was a lucky hit, he threw his whole weight forward so he left himself open, it just came to me. You know I'm no good with a blade." She shrugged.
"Perhaps not with a blade..." he said lightly, "Your sense of direction however is improving in that form...despite putting yourself in front of me." he muttered.
"Heh-heh, i-i'll just call that helping you, but not ending up getting you killed instead." she transformed her blade to a hand as she cupped it, "I hope it's just me." She said with doubt, "Dad, what if next time Dark Energon is the reason for something like this?" she asked surprisingly after denying it would be fine. "I'm stubborn sure. But, what if it starts screwing with this body's systems?" she turned anxious, "I-I don't want to go home, not yet, but I don't want to end up a potential threat either."
He took in the thought as he scanned the land, "Let's expand our options before I make that decision, we'll try decontamination." He said thinking of an area that may offer that. "Kaon is postponed temporally."
She nodded weakly as they continued on their route.
All the while, deep in her subconscious a slightly weak but present deity, begun to mutter.
"...at first...I slept..."
"But then, I became aware...as i passed through a tunnel..."
"That creature…the 'Insecticon' stirred me." It hissed. "It was too greater mercy, however despite my, 'subtlety' my blood had shown but not my identity. It seems that I have too small of control in this empty mind, but I spread, 'its' will weakens with strong emotion and I am able to gain a few seconds of control, just enough to, sustain this ever imprisoned madness of mine, just barely."
"And each time its longer, shortly I will be able to take this form, at first I questioned why I was present here, but seeing through this body's visuals, i am almost thankful."
I sense another and more stronger part of myself manifesting in a rusting corpse." it chortled darkly, "'visions of the future', such a small mind, it never had a purpose I just grew dreary of this empty void and toyed with my creations. To lend you barely a whisper of my power…It only seemed appropriate."
"The creatures, humans. Tapping into this humans memories I have seen all that I need to know, this 'Autobot and Decepticon' war. Human history appears short…and bland, however they bear potential, their savagery is an interest, if not repetitive. If Primus could mock me…"
"Through the imagery of their history, it is entertaining, to see raised hope and purpose to its highest peak, only to reveal its pointlessness and inevitable end, left with nothing as was the beginning…their expressions…their expressions, I favour the unexpected suffering, so quick, to their stir shaken eyes."
"Torture…slow spreading torture, like a disease. Yes, that should suit you, such naïvety to create a race to keep myself at bay when they are divided by themselves, like children!" it started braying.
"I have stored the, hm-hm 'Dark Saber' in this body, such a feeble title to match its opposite, it insults me! To USE my blood, only to disgrace what my very existence stands for! No plan, no direction, no reason, confusion, disorder, the definition; chaos! Being trapped like this only to extend myself through tainted others FRUSTRATES me. The Matrix bearer, PRIME. I WILL claim your spark!" he cried out in the darkness.
A/N 12/04/14 How many Transformer novel and game references do i have to make? :P So, this is when things gets nuts, this may be shorter than i planned, movie wise anyway, Ellen won't be doing much interacting with say the Predaking for example as with the way I'm doing it, i won't have time to involve her in all the stuff happening, with anything very dire with Ellen, Optimus was usually not even there, last proper save if i recall was 'scrapheap' and 'predator' so VERY early chapters, so i just wanted to make a dire situation between the two them. :P but...well i don't want to say too much but I'm probably being a bit too obvious anyway :) please R + R give me your thoughts so far, confusion would be nice because that means I'm doing it right if not then I'm just being very cliché ^^;
on a random note what do you guys (if you've seen it) think of this new Transformers cartoon coming out in 2015? apparantly it will be a direct follow on from Prime? : o
