A/N Like with older chapters I'm not going nuts with the number of words :P so to get chapters up faster instead of months at a time and end up reading an endless scroll ^^' anyway hope you enjoy this chapter and the final arc :)
So in this chapter I attempt character development with Ellen and Smokescreen watch as it fails miserably :S
Predacon Rising
Crossing the bridge that lead to Kaon Ellen brushed herself down as with the decontaminate felt a little strange. "U-rgh, the metals all shiny, smooth and squeaky." She cringed as she prodded herself. "I do feel better somehow but, the plating feels gross like someone threw cottage cheese at my top gross."
"I will also need to inform Ultra Magnus." He said.
"W-hy?" she asked warily.
"If anything did occur, when i am not here."
"What if it got really bad? Something beyond Magnus sir's abilities?" she said.
"We cannot be idle to see what might happen." He said.
"Alright." She said as she looked to the distance, she saw the same statue of Megatron from their first visit, "Well…this has been nice. I guess it's 'put your game faces on' time now." She gave a small whack to his arm. "Alright, hard labour time, or, is it, child labour? Oh, r-ight." She then said. "I, think we're late." Backing up that statement with a group of idle Autobots, "No worries, just blame me say i fell over and started crying or something." she whispered as he smiled at her courteously, the other bots were there minus one unaccounted for; Wheeljack who jumped down from the platform Megatron's statue stood on.
"Hey." He greeted looking a little too pleased with himself.
Ellen cupped a hand around her mouth as she muttered to Optimus, "What's he done? He's done something." She said with paranoia.
All bots were now gathered in Kaon, and after a few minutes of recollection and thoughts were around in an orderly fashion like an attended event as Bumblebee stood in front of Optimus. "We have endured bitter hardships and countless battles. But at long last, our home planet has been restored. We would not be standing on Cybertronian soil were it not for the valiant efforts of those assembled here and our absent comrades. Ratchet who remains on Earth to safe guard our human friends, and Cliffjumper who made the ultimate sacrifice. But on this day at the dawn of a new era, we gather to bestow a special honour, one earned by Bumblebee, through his bravery and devotion to the cause of peace. Long before he rid this universe of the scourge of the Decepticon warmonger."
Optimus lifted the Saber holding it sideways in his hands, "Bumblebee, kneel if you please." He said as he did so, optics bright and full of nobility. "in the company of your fellow Autobots, in the presence of our creator Primus, the living core of our planet." He continued raising the Star Saber overhead, "and by the authority vested in me by the Matrix of leadership. Bumblebee…" he tapped either side of Bumblebee's with the tip of the blade. "Arise, a warrior."
"Nice."
"Warrior, big time."
"Nailed it."
"Way to go Bee."
"Let's get this party started." Wheeljack declared as he turned to face the Megatron statue that stood in the distance, pulling out a detonation device pressed it as each sections of the statue fell and collapsed on itself, following Bulkhead and Wheeljack chest bumped each other as Smokescreen whacked Bee on the shoulder making him stumble.
"Welcome to the club Bee, Warrior today, who knows Prime tomorrow?" he said as he looked at Ellen. "And when are you going to step up?" he added jestingly.
"Screw you dumb-aft." she replied flatly as Bee puffed a laugh.
"Slow down Smoky, I'm not sure I'd want to wish a Primes responsibility on anyone." He said.
"Plus it adds millions of years to your face." Ellen added looking to the current Prime. "Take a good look." She whispered grimaced.
"Overdoing it a little in description I'd say." Bee said to her.
"I am sorry to interrupt your celebration." Optimus then said.
"Here it comes." Arcee said in a typical fashion.
"Primes never party." Bulkhead finished.
"But I must take my leave of you." Optimus continued.
"Sir may I ask why?" Magnus confronted with.
"Though Cybertron is once again able to support life, our planet is currently incapable of generating new lives. Not until I retrieve the well-spring from which all life on Cybertron is born and ultimately returns, the Allspark." He explained.
"You mean it isn't here?" Smokescreen asked.
"Nor has it been Smokescreen for thousands of years." He replied, "As the War for Cybertron reached a tipping point, and the Decepticon army appeared to be unstoppable. I opted to safeguard the Allspark from Megatron, by covertly sending it to a distant sector of the galaxy. The Matrix of Leadership will enable me to guide us to its present location."
Ellen slightly frowned, "So not a specific area? It could be anywhere?"
"I know of the area, that is all." he explained as she reached a hand to behind her back slightly shutting her optics a little to an uncomfortable feeling as it was giving her grief again.
"What are we waiting for? Let's take the Warship and bring it back." Bumblebee offered clenching a fist.
"These remain dangerous time Bumblebee, we cannot leave Cybertron unsecured. Not with Starscream and Shockwave unaccounted for." Optimus said.
"Not to mention our stray Predacon." Magnus added.
"And Arachnid." Ellen thought.
"Ultra Magnus. You will supervise to find and capture fugitive Decepticons." Optimus commanded.
"I will be honoured." He replied.
"Bulkhead. You will lead the reconstruction effort, begin by building a landing field to welcome returning refugees. Wheeljack, I will require your extensive experience navigating deep space." Optimus continued.
"When do we leave?" Wheeljack said eagerly making his way over.
"Stay vigorous Autobots, we shall return soon." Optimus reassured.
"Always."
"Sure thing."
"We won't let you down."
"We've got this."
"We shall not fail Sir."
"Bye…"
With Both Wheeljack and Optimus transforming the rest of the group watched on as they drove off disappearing into the distance in mere seconds as they turned back to themselves. "You heard him Autobots, we have our objectives so let's get to it." Magnus said. "Smokescreen, Ellen, with me. Arcee assist Bumblebee in monitoring our impounded occupants, and the construction of our spaceport. Any issues, report to me immediately." He said as Arcee gave a swift nod, then they parted in different directions, Bumblebee, Arcee and Bulkhead in one direction, Ultra Magnus, Smokescreen and Ellen in another as said human looked to behind her.
"Mmm…" she muttered.
"That's a reassuring sound." Smokescreen said stopping as Ultra Magnus walked on ahead, "what's wrong 'upbeat attitude'?" he asked.
"I don't know…I better just carry on with you guys." She said as he looked at her intensely, "What?" she asked.
He looked to Ultra Magnus, "Want me to cover you?" he said quietly.
"What? N-No." she then looked him up and down curiously, "How would you even cov- never mind."
"Then what's your problem?" he asked.
"Look here's my choices, go along with you two and check out Cybertron something that is on my bucket list or…I don't know." She shook her head.
"Aw…" he teased looking past her, "I understand, can't handle the surroundings huh? You can hold my hand if you want buddy?" he continued trying to take a grab for her hand.
"Pass." She abruptly said throwing her hand up. "Even if this is Cybertron, I shouldn't feel the need to go with Dad and Wheeljack, I don't think it's my clingy-ness, something just doesn't feel right."
"Feel? Thought it was all about seeing?" he said to her.
"It's just instinct dude, I'm still all for asking questions and mystery, which I'm going to explore, investigate and explain." She said looking behind again.
"Okay I get it, why? What? How? When? Who?" he shrugged, "So, I guess a trust exercise is off the list right now?"
She checked behind her again, "Nah, let's go." She dismissed.
"Oh by the way." He said opening a compartment on his arm, "Forgot to give you this." He said then throwing something at her but Ultra Magnus caught it instead.
"Communications?" he questioned plucking the object as she snatched it away waggling a finger.
"Negativo dude, you're not trained, you're not qualified, you're not even insured." She said mimicking his tone.
Smokescreen placed a cupped hand against his mouth as Magnus' expression was flat as a murmured sound was heard from him before he spun around abruptly, "Move it you two!" he announced.
"Timings a little off." Smokescreen said as he started to run, "Could have dodged that."
"Hmm, my bad sorry. But how is Jack going to contact anyone without my phone?" She said catching up to him feeling more light-hearted now but her vision turned a little blurry as she felt a thumping in her processor, "Mm…" she mumbled acting somewhat unaware to what happened to her as she continued running on ahead.
"You okay?" Smoke asked to her flinched optics.
"I'm fine." she said un-wavered.
"You sure, because optic twitch can be-"
"I'm fine. alright? there's no optic twitch I would've known if there was something wrong. i'm fine, Cybertrons fine, we're all fine." she exasperated.
Smoke shrugged, "Alright. But twitchy optics can be pretty annoying, i'm actually waiting to tell you otherwise when it happens."
"Magnus sir, what's our strategy anyway?" she then asked moving on.
"Caution, and I hope to rely on the element of surprise and with the current environment, it gives a good advantage to corner hostiles." He said looking on ahead, "Autobots, Decepticons…we need to identify all to secure Cybertron of possible threats." He reminded looked at her with that normal expression of his, "this is not a social call."
"Why do you tell me this with Senor Big-mouth over there?" she said as he bared a knowing look, "I-I'm not being, weird anymore before that was just…I was, I mean this is Cybertron and its pretty cool…" she lowered her head, "I'll be fine, I'll let you know if anything changes." She announced in defeat.
He lifted his head, "Be sure you do."
Smokescreen tilted his body so he was known to them, "Are you leaving me out here?"
"Discipline and dignity, practice this at all times." He told them both as he continued forward.
"I just realised something." Smoke then said.
"You have fingers?" she said.
"This time you're the alien, aren't you." He grinned.
She made a slight pout look as she muttered, "technically…I guess."
He smiled lightly, "Well, er, welcome to the not aggressively tormented Cybertron." He said shaking her hand.
"Thanks." She said a little skeptical to his non-existant joke of that, "So, what do we exchange flowers or something? I'd prefer video games, can we exchange video games as sign of our mutual friendship between our planets?"
"Exchanging flowers?" Smoke said with confusion.
"Oh another Earthly tradition, it has a pretty long history it goes back thousands of years to such cultures as Egypt and China, originally it was a charitable gesture because of its medical and herbal attributes..." she looked at him. "Nevermind, I got weird interests, it's just that you asked so I kind of went into a kind of mode b-" she looked in front as Ultra Magnus' head that was slightly turned hinting he was listening and supposedly interested. "Hm."
"Its fine, we'll have to know about Earth anyway and no one said it'll be pain-free, besides don't want to offend anyone by offering...er, whats offensive to humans?" Smokescreen joked.
"Oh come on your setting me up here." she chuckled, "If we reach that point-"
"You mean when." he corrected.
"When, we reach that point, just make a light greeting." she said.
"I have to take notes as well?" he said wearily. "Nerd." he snuck in.
"That's what one of my t-shirts say." she retaliated.
"I have also took notice of this." Magnus said turning around.
"What that I'm a nerd or, the Flowers?" Ellen said.
"Admittedly the flowers however- We are on Cybertron." he hinted.
"Oh no…" she thought.
"Have you not argued before, 'that might be the way on Cybertron but this is Earth?'" he said to her.
Her jaw grinded a little, "You know I thought second in commands were supposed to be incompetent? Media has betrayed me for the last time." She mentally hissed, "Yes…" she grimly agreed.
"Let's roll." Magnus finally said though she swore she caught this satisfying grin come from him.
"Are you joking with me? Mind games? E-Either way it's working- b-because I'm-I'm feeling paranoid." The three then transformed as they sped off following after the commander, reaching to a highway, one of few that were still intact though still damaged, like going through water at full speed Ellen couldn't even feel the road beneath the wheels, "Cybertrons surface is pretty slick."
"For more speed obviously." Smoke said steering into her to support this though she wavered it off as a nudge. "Even if you can't feel the road, you see where you're going you just need to picture where your wheels are, like when you walk you're not always looking at your feet to see where your going?" he steered into her again.
"O-w." She said snickering her words as she retaliated, "Stop it." She then told him.
"You know, I could probably go to the speed I was meant for now without human laws and all." he said.
"It still stands on Cybertron." Ultra Magnus reminded.
"Heh that's fair enough." he replied. "You know since I've been here I think I've got you acting your age." Smoke said to Ellen.
"Pardon me?" she said.
"Come on, you can kind of see a little bit of how alienating it is when you act and speak sometimes, you know like you've been sheltered." he said.
"Hey you talk as though you've been with me through my life, I have been around plenty of people and of the same age group." she said lightly starting to get a little agitated from what felt like interrogation. "And do you mind to hold back on saying what I am? I'm already a confused teenager I don't need your type of confusion to add to that."
"Ooh, that was a little cold." He said.
her tune suddenly changed, "Cold? Coming from mister obnoxious, 'Bow down to me world for I am your king!'" she said obnoxiously.
"Nice touch…might use that." He said thinking she was merely joking as he rammed her again making her produce a grinding sound.
"Oh, Oh, okay we're going immature now right? Okay fine let's just roll in mud why the pit not?" she said ramming him in a consistent pattern, "Your playing a dangerous game here delphinum natare doces."
"What did you call me?"
"Er, actually its latin for 'you are teaching a dolphin to swim'." she said feeling more proud speaking it in latin then what it meant in the english language.
"Not your best insult there 'Motor-mouth'." he said.
"Oh well I'm sorry but I havent been insulting people in latin as much as I should be." she argued sarcastically.
"Wow, you get really crazy don't you? I think you might have left a smear on my paint job." he joked.
"Smokescreen." she then said a little fed up, "Stop, okay? its been fun but, now it's getting a little out of hand."
"Oh come on, we got to this level why stop now? you do that, 'its serious now' thing its cliché, look if it's because your scared you don't have to be." he said.
She flinched, "Smoke, this isn't the time or place okay to talk about psychology okay? Just don't ask about what you don't understand. Why are you bothering to bring this up anyway? I'm scared? what does that mean?" she said defensively as her head started to throb.
"Just trying to get you to relax a little, shouldn't stop yourself from taking a little risk." he said.
"Risk is fine depending on circumstances." she argued.
"Ya see? What kind of human who is in comparison to being my age talks like that?" he said.
"A human who is self-aware." she informed, "And I don't think you understand that." she said weakly.
"Maybe not from your point of view, but maybe I could guess." she felt a heat over her armour plating to the mere mention of her.
"Last time you guessed my problems you got a knock to the face." she said.
"I never thought before, that maybe you had someone before Optimus." he started with as she just listened. he turned a little quieter in tone, "I mean, I don't know why but you interest me." Her expression relaxed, "Maybe its because your so weird." ...and then turned crooked.
"Well, could've been worse." she said. "Is there a point to this?"
"When our decoy base was burning I found out about your...mother. and, how she died." he said with sympathy as her cooling systems activated almost immediately with the heat that overcame her, no one should know about that except for Optimus, Jack and a few others she had told. it was a big deal to her when those kind of details were shared.
Like night terrors, the remembrance of flames and burning flesh were brought back to her senses. "Who told you?" she asked.
cautious by her tone he merely said, "I was a little curious, I mean you just panicked a little when the building was burning." he said.
She clenched her fists slightly, "Smokescreen, that's in the past alright? I got peace from Silas long ago. So don't open up old wounds okay?" she started calmly.
"But didn't you ever think, why you?" he asked.
"...Shit happens." she muttered.
"A lot of it to you from what I've asked around, from past fights, and events, what about the time you and Optimus were trapped in a cavern and you were surrounded by cloakers? I've never encountered cloakers." he said.
She was mixed between emotions, that innocent tone of his but that clash of ignorance left her confused, but just had to play through the motions she guessed, "I...don't really talk about that day."
"Yeah...they didn't share many details either. why not?"
she inhaled, "Because, some days like that, you kind of realise that you need to get yourself out of situations like that and can't always rely on others to save you, but I'll say this, that was the day I needed to know how to survive." she said.
"Revelation huh?" he said.
"In a way, sometimes Smokescreen certain events, 'trauma' can make you self-aware. That your...that is, certain people aren't as indestructible as you think they are, that danger exists, that you can't understand others feelings or views, until you have experienced this as they have." she said. "I mean, for example do you understand Arcee?"
"I see your point. I made mistakes, I know that and I know I have flaws. but I try to make up for it."
"Focus on the positive, your genuine alright, optimistic and with good intent." she said.
"But...?" he said grimly.
"Your...ego." she hissed awkwardly.
"No please, just be frank with me its fine I don't have feelings." he joked.
Ultra Magnus saw the conversation turn louder, fastly paced from their own entertainment to full discussion of course he would have prefered little conversation as possible but, he was trying out a new perspective.
"I'm sorry, but come on do you have any other thought in your processor other then wander off?" she said.
"I just get an idea, and I don't know, intuition. Don't think Arcee was all up for my plan."
"I don't get see eye to eye with Arcee too much, but she understands that fighting and killing each other isn't some glorified event, as I've said before she's just worried really. she's strong but the thought of losing anyone else, she becomes very vulnerable." she said.
Smokescreen flinched a little to how cautious to the what he said next, "So, she's...k-kind of like you on that?"
"Arcee? maybe, thats why we never really got on." she said thinking more into it as Smokescreen sighed relieved dodging another snapping lecture from her.
"Found some mutual respect her then?" he then asked getting a little insight.
"Well...yeah, I, I guess I do." she admitted.
"Well there ya go, a little mutual friendship you've got there and neither of you know it." he said lightly. "So you ever going to tell me why either of you are so...hardcore?"
"I wouldn't say that as a way of describing it but, its just because of the hardships you go through. You know I wouldn't ask anyone to go through hardships but everyone should experience the bad things in life, how not everyone is special and even if they are shouldn't act so self-centered." she said driving closer to him to emphasise her meaning.
"Aw come on Bee isn't that bad." he jested.
"Well what I mean is, hardships help you grow, its apart of life and if you don't experience this, you'll nevergrow." she said.
"Hm." he murmured. "I, have dodged a lot of bad situations huh? Prisoner on the Nemesis, When me and Jack had a fall in with Megatron, our fallen base, all those situations could have turned out much worse. maybe I'm taking it for granted." he hushed. The conversation intrigued the Commander, both learning at the same time and making slight discoveries about themselves.
It was a long drive before anyone spoke, but when someone did, Ultra Magnus finally got a word in to the inappropriate behaviour on a scouting mission, "Neither of you have convinced me if you have an understanding of the term 'stealth' the racket you are making could stir Primus." Magnus called, "Perhaps as a gentle reminder you can pick clean every microscopic piece of debris from Cybertrons surface with only your two digits."
"Magnus Sir…you're being pretty loud." she muttered swerving back to her place though Smokescreen hissed awkwardly to her hugely flawed comment as the existent of sound seemed to cease altogether.
"Would you like to be referred to that new station?" he asked darkly as a shadow seemed to drape over his vehicular form.
"Apologize Sir, I have nervous tendencies Sir, don't give me deprived of life death glares Sir..." she said in a fearful militarised tone. "…he started it. curse you and your social skills." She muttered as Smoke tried to hold back a snicker but turned into an unconvincing hiss.
Magnus sighed exasperated as he continued his route, "That's, not the most appropriate apology, but I don't expect much improvement with your attitude." He said trying hard with what expression to use.
"If he wasn't feeling so neutral now, he'd probably say more." Smokescreen said stating it seriously.
"Yeah."
"I think we should be separated at all times, we're bad influences to each other." Smokescreen then said lightly steering a little closer to her as she sighed.
"Well maybe it'll be our lucky day." She sighed again, a relieved sigh feeling comfortable in the environment, she hoped that it was back to normal just the feeling that the Decepticons were finally scattered and without direction, with only a handful of them, surely they'll see sense is what she thought to re-build instead of conquer now, well except for maybe Starscream and Shockwave having more extreme goals in mind than others.
Something occurred to Smokescreen as he mimicked a coughing sound to get her attention. "Hey…er, you like buildings and boring fact stuff right?"
"I like 'stuff' that others might not be interested in sure." She argued a little wary of his change of tune.
"Right boring, well, did you know that ancient Cybertronians built a tomb around here?" he said speaking slightly awkwardly.
"No…" she said sounding immediately interested.
"Oh! Well, they did, it was a maps room had a load of planets they had visited millions of years back I read." He said.
"That far huh? You'll have to show me this place one time." She said.
"Yeah?" he said hopeful. "I guess I could, just be sure to wake me if I fall into stasis, you know because it sounds so thrilling." He said with light sarcasm.
She turned her attention to Ultra Magnus, "So where is this anyway?" she asked.
"The Sea of Rust." Ultra Magnus said.
Ellen scanned the area and was instantly confused as the place seemed to ping a sparkle, "Erm, well, don't look now but it's looking pretty clean." She said.
"Yeah, someone may wanna think about renaming the Sea of Rust, just saying." Smokescreen said speeding on ahead.
"How about, 'Generic area of Cybertron'?" Ellen thought.
Smokescreen's voice toned down, "Though I was hoping more of us would be rushing back here to see it. You know, now that it's all bright and shiny." He continued as Magnus drove up beside him.
"Cybertron will populate in time kid, you have to remember refuges could be returning from light years away." Magnus reminded.
"Did many escape Cybertron?" Ellen asked.
"Many tried, but fortunately many others were able to leave our atmosphere as well." He explained as a high frequency sound came from inside his cab, "Movement, two contacts at point eight four." He informed as the three of them transformed deploying weapons. Approaching a dark terrain. "Approach with caution." When in view, indeed two beings were in a corner as they turned alerted of the presence, there optics glowing a harsh yellow. "My name is Ultra Magnus. Are you Autobot or Decepticon?" he asked.
A hissed cackle came from them as they approached from the shadows, and upon the light hitting them it was clear to see, "Neither." One then said as they transformed revealing their forms.
"That guy looks like a, Ursagryph, another creäture of myth and that one a…a…Dino-bird? Great I just ruined the illusion." Ellen said.
"Nice observation, you couldn't wait till after to mention this!" Smokescreen exclaimed at her as the three of them aimed at the hostiles, they came charging at them at an alarming speed the Predacon known as Skylynx took on Ultra Magnus as he forcibly charged him to one side. The other known as Darksteel charged at Smokescreen and Ellen, though she was slightly in front of Smokescreen as for some reason the Predacon passed right through her and took a grab for Smokescreen tossing him up and down in his beak by the leg causing sustainable damage in mere hits.
"Phaseshifter? No, he would've went past Smoke too." Ellen thought as she shook her head getting back into to the field.
Skylynx charged at Magnus, who, taking a grab for his neck shot the creäture in the face, for no avail his armour was too strong. Skylynx took a swing at him sending him far back from his position, Magnus kept his balance as he shot at the beast again whilst charging, Skylynx started to fly lifting off the ground as Magnus took a grab for his tail.
Skylynx attempted to blast fire at him, Magnus started to make his way up the beasts back, each turn of the beasts head and eventually Magnus got closer to his face taking a whack at the side of its face. Skylynx spun out of control as the both of them slammed into a building, Magnus made sure Skylynx was the first to hit the ground as he made continuous hits to make it count.
Meanwhile, "I think its working El...kind of." Smokescreen called the two taking on the other Predacon, she was at the side of Darksteel and Smokescreen being in front of him, being stalked by the beast.
"Not good enough though, but they act unknowingly to fighting us." she said. "Urgh, gee I wish we had somewhere to send them like…I dunno the Arctic!?" she called.
"So Cybertron has a mutual temperature, what a picky alien. Besides you're the one who left the Immobilizer on the Nemesis." He said shooting at Darksteel as did Ellen.
"I was trying to tone down my paranoia by taking a chance, you know 'take a risk', plus your relic acts like a piece of jewellery so yours is convenient." She argued.
Tolerating none of the 'squabbling' Darksteel took another grab for Smokescreen throwing him high into the air and into a nearby building, he fell along the debris that fell on top of him. "Smoke!" she called still shooting at the beast who merely shook it off, "Scrap he isn't going to pay attention when there's easy prey." She started to run towards him instead, "Come on dumby, you can get out!" she called as the Predacon opened its beak producing a charging sound.
Ultra Magnus turned as he lifted his weapon to fire at Darksteel only to be attacked by his own Predacon, "Magnus! Oh for the love of…is biting, throwing, and jumping, the only thing you can perform!?" she cried as he was plucked up between the creatures beak, he was shook about then thrown down. She looked to past the Predacon to a steaming pile of debris where Smokescreen once lay under, "Smokescreen…" she muttered, but showing no evidence of his body she looked to the Predacon throwing the Commander around towards metal debris "Right, now I can stop yelling names." She ran towards the beast leaping up onto its back, a sense of adrenaline turned to anger as her optics turned a darker shade. The Predacon started to buck turning its head to try and grab and or singe her. She started wailing her fist on his head, the force behind it barely marking it by her form, "get down!" she growled.
Then her hand, as if summoned, formed a crystallised shell around it like shielding, purple, durable, glowing, steaming a purple vapour. "What now?" she said in a typical fashion as she clenched it, "You know what? Whatever I'll run with it." and used it repeating her previous action. The Predacon jittered to how uncomfortable her hits suddenly became.
"Thats right suck-er." She said as a crack formed in the armour plating below its neck. The Predacon had, had enough and thrust the lower part of his body into the air, she was thrusted forward and she rolled falling in front. Looking up to Magnus who lay on his back. She looked behind as the Predacon became air Bourne. "That 'thing' from before, that made that Predacon pass through…" she thought pulling herself towards Ultra Magnus, "Maybe I can do it again…" she lifted a hand in front of her face but saw Smokescreen drive towards them.
"Bumblebee I need an emergency Groundbridge stat." Smokescreen requested over the comm.
"Ellen, hang onto the Commander and give me your hand." He called.
Magnus groaned as Ellen looked up to the Predacon she placed a hand on Magnus' torso, "You'll be alright big guy."
Smokescreen transformed as she held onto Magnus reaching a close hand to Smokescreen just as the two intercepting Predacon phased right through them colliding into each other and were thrown across the area. "Hang tight chief, we're getting you outta here." Smoke said taking the left arm of Ultra Magnus and hoisting it over his shoulder as Ellen stood there watching the Predacon. "Ellen, this would go a little faster if you helped." he said as she stood there.
pondering for a second and shaking it off, "Right, Lets go." She then said taking a hold of the other arm, getting the Commander to his feet the two speed walked for there lives.
"Comeoncomeon." Smoke said looking in front to the portal, "we're gonna make it." he thought as he felt the ground shake to the Predacons running at them, "Too late dumb and dumber." he thought satisfied as they passed through.
Smokescreen fell back onto the Nemesis the portal suddenly throwing them out, with the Commander lay in front, watching the portal close up quickly Smokescreen sighed, "Safe." He said standing up as he set Magnus in a more comfortable position, "The scrap did those Predacons come from anyway? What a rush, just glad we managed to get out at all." he said looking to his side, "Ellen?" he questioned looking around as she was not beside him and...nowhere to seen for that matter. "Ellen!" he called around him. "B-But how? why? ...Scrap!" he frustrated hitting the floor as Bee and Arcee rushed over, "Bee you have to open that bridge again."
"What happened?" Arcee demanded.
"Predacon, the Commander get him on- no-not now it's not over, Ellen was right here with me!" he frustrated.
"You're sure she came through the bridge?" Bee said.
"Of course I'm sure, she had a hold on Commander Magnus' arm, and she came through with me." He hissed. "I know she did." he said and in confusion started to doubt his own words.
"Hold on, we need to get Ultra Magnus on a med table, he's badly damaged." Bee said, "Smoke, give me a hand." Smokescreen helped frowning as he sought to find a reason for this.
Arcee pinched her forehead, "This doesn't make sense, there was no other Bridge present, she came through, how could she just disappear?"
"I don't know." Smokescreen said laying the Commander on a table.
Bumblebee looked Ultra Magnus over, "This isn't something that can be so easily patched up. We need to call Ratchet." He said moving over to the control panel. "So early and we already need a medic." He sighed.
"And Ellen?" Smokescreen said.
Bee sighed, "Smokescreen look, we can't assume the worse, you said so yourself she came through with you. I'll contact Ratchet, you try contacting Ellen, that's the first thing we can do." Bee said.
"I've tried." Arcee interrupted, "Many times already, but I'm not receiving her, it's not a problem with the signal either."
Smokescreen thought for a moment, "She's not…blocking the signal is she?"
Arcee kept a finger on her comm, "By the pitch of the frequency, that's what it's suggesting." She said moving over to the control panel besides Bee, "I'll scan the area." She said as Smoke watched over her shoulder, she was taking a long while on it too, not the best sign. Her fast tapping slowed down in pace with each passing moment, then she stopped altogether, "She's, not in the area you were just in." she finally said frowning, "In fact I'm not getting any Energon signal from her at all." She said with confusion.
"She's not-" Bee then said becoming concerned himself.
"No." Smokescreen interrupted, "Even if she were down, the Energon in her form would have given off a pulse."
"And it would have been easier to track her if her Energon had been spilled." Arcee thought for a moment as Bumblebee slightly cringed to that sentence, "I'll call in Bulkhead, we don't need any more casualties with apparent Predacon's roaming the surface."
"Ratchet has responded, he just needs to get a hold of a few things." Bee told them.
"I'm going to go out and find her." Smokescreen said as Arcee placed a hand on his chest to stop him. "I can move silently, especially now that I know those two freaks are out there." He argued.
"We're not risking you too, you barely came back with your lives." She said. "Just be patient. We'll find her."
He slumped his shoulders looking frustrated. "And if we don't?" he asked. "I know I shouldn't act so worked up about it, she's probably fine. It's just…"
Her optics softened in understanding, "She wasn't your responsibility Smokescreen, we all look out for each other."
His optics dimmed slightly, "Something went wrong for sure. but what do we tell Optimus?" he muttered.
"Don't misunderstand this Smokescreen, but Ellen's whereabouts are the least of problems its the Predacons that are the source of all of them. There a danger to her, to us and Cybertron." she said. "We'll head out as soon as we can, Bumblebee has obtained new information on the whereabouts of Starscream and Shockwave, and with all thats happening now, it'll most likely be soon, we can look for her then." She reassured.
"Sure." He said watching the floor. "Let's just, take care of the Commander, get him fixed up." He added quietly.
"Ratchet's coming through now." Bee said.
The two faced the back of the room, the portal opened and Ratchet emerged. "Where's the patient?"
A/N 10/05/14 Oh Ultra Magnus why did they give you such brief screen time? alright 'convenient plot device' but still he's an interesting bot, Hmm nevermind maybe he'll come back in the new cartoon maybe? please?
Hmm, so what am I up to? :) in the end whats going to go down bwhaha maybe its time to put my OC out to pasture...
Advantages for getting Ellen in peril, concern. I don't know it just makes me feel all fuzzy :3
so weird when I was watching through Predacon rising and things I got Ellen to say and do Bee was doing also, like in one chapter she mention that she wouldn't wish being a Prime on anyone to Smokescreen with Bee saying that he wouldn't wish a Primes responsibility on anyone to the same bot, and when he also threatened the Predaking with a fake Immobilizer though Ellen made the same threat with the real thing…coincidence? probably but still I found it pretty weird :P
the prequel I'm working on is taking up one document with hundreds of thousands of words already :P but looks messy as heck with it being drafts and summaries :P
also confession, i never watched Predacon Rising all the way through until January : O I know what kind of fan am I :P but the moving house thing was too much for tv to comfort me, I did know the general plot because i gave spoilers to my self -_- little advice although this is just common sense never scroll down wiki and accidently read the ending before you even read the begining it may scar you like it did me TTwTT it was a long time until i calmed down :P
Please R + R :) and lets move onto the drama :P next chapter will be uploaded sooner then later and suprisingly i'm already done :) though that might because its really short lol
