Chapter 26- "What do you want from me?"
I was growing sick of the sight of space by the time we reached the tiny planet that was more like a space station than anything else. The space was empty even with the numerous planets and stars, and Vegeta being unconscious had given me too much time to myself to dwell on thoughts.
Speaking of the planet, it was bright blue with a lot of gleaming technology on its surface. Technology that had informed the inhabitants of our arrival since they gathered around a raised platform with the letter O on it. Vegeta hadn't mentioned if I needed to land the pod or anything so I left it to do it's thing. Which was descending us straight into the mist of a crowd of people. Odd looking people at that. Some were purple with green spots dotted over their face in such a way that you could probably pull out a sharpie and join the dots to make a dinosaur. Others were blue or green. The variety never ended. The only thing to link them was that they all wore the same armor. An armor similar to Nappa and Vegeta's.
The pod settled itself down comfortably before sliding open its door, grating as it hit metal ground. The people were silent and I decided to pull out Vegeta before they started making any rash decisions on who I was. Surely they would recognize him.
Gasps flew up all around as I gripped both hands tightly around Vegeta's waist, pulling him backwards through the shaft. The ground turned cool as I stepped of the door ramp and touched the planet's metal. Another purple creature with blue spots came bursting out of the glistening door in front, wasting no time in running up to Vegeta and inspecting the damage. I let him go reluctantly, and after smoothing his hands along the contours of his body the purple guy whistled to two others and they dragged him of into the metal complex.
The alien turned to go as I placed a heavy hand on his shoulder.
"You'll heal him right?" The alien stopped and considered me for a moment.
"Of course. Prince Vegeta will be back to normal in no time. Had it been left any longer though the outcome would not be the same" he nodded dismissively, the closest I was going to get to a thanks from these people. He turned on his booted heel and dashed back into the complex. The others left watching me with hawk eyes.
"Who are you" A lanky blue one stepped forward boldly, a wary look on his too full features. I considered for a moment how to answer that. Perhaps it would simpler to say I was a friend of his but in reality I wasn't. Then again, saying we were enemies probably wasn't going to cut it.
"A friend of Vegeta's" I finally answered. The lanky alien didn't seem satisfied with my answer.
"Prince Vegeta has no friends" Yup, they defiantly knew Vegeta all right.
"Yeah, well now he does. I saved his life, I demand to see him"
"Look miss, how are we supposed to know if your telling the truth" The other aliens nodded.
"Because I'm telling you. Why else would I have been in the pod with him. Now I want to see him. Are you going to take me to him or do I have to get angry first. Because trust me, nobody wants me to get angry" The lanky alien looked between me and his fellow henchman.
"Alright..i want three men to take the pod to the mechanics to be fixed and Raquel will take the lady to the healing pods" There was murmurs within the crowd for a minute. Then three henchman came running up to the pod beside me, giving me a wide berth as they did so. The sound of metal scraping filled the air for a minute as the people lifted the pod onto something before wheeling it away. I kept my eyes on the rest of the crowd, searching for the one named Raquel.
Eventually a green skinned man with dark unfathomable eyes stepped out, glaring not at me but at the lanky one who was clearly his boss.
It was a while later, after a lot or disagreements and arguing that I was taking to see Vegeta. The insides of the complex were the same as the outside, glistening metals that were probably a death sentence to someone should they get dirt on them. More of the aliens wandered around almost aimlessly, shooting bewildered looks at me as Raquel took me through the many corridors. All of them seemed afraid, as if my presence here would bring down some great wrath upon them.
It became a bit clearer when we passed a room with aliens on phones, addressing the planet as Frieza planet 365. This tiny little planet and its inhabitants belonged to this supposed tyrant Frieza, and he clearly meted out punishments like parking fines.
The corridors changed from plain metal to purple as we passed under a alcove to another room, this time filled with cylindal pods of plastic, surrounded by wires. They were big enough to fit a person standing up and some. These were obviously the healing pods. This room contained two, and another much further down three.
All were empty with the exception on one. The pod in particular was filled with blue goo and..a naked Vegeta.
I was glad I hadn't taken the drink offered by a footmen earlier for I probably would have choked upon it now. It was all that I had imagined and more, bringing about a certain flame of heat in the pit of my stomach.
The henchman seemed completely oblivious to this fact but they were all men after all. In fact I hadn't seen a single female in sight. The purple doctor from earlier was watching him closely.
I could feel the blush creeping up my cheeks so I quickly turned my attention to the doctor instead.
"How long will it take him to heal" The doctor shifted his side to an array of panels and buttons, tapping a few before he answered.
"Shouldn't be too long miss, these saiyans heal faster than you can imagine" After seeing the battle on earth, I could imagine; and I wasn't surprised.
"Good, would it be alright to wait here for him?" My casual attempt at asking if I could stare at his nakedness for however long it took him to heal. The doctor suddenly looked shifted, as he switched his balance between each foot multiple times.
"Well actually miss. Perhaps you would care to change and rest? Your clothes do look a bit..well worn out" Oh..
Looking down at myself, he had a good point.
"Well actually, that would be great" I smiled reassuringly at him, the tension between his eyes easing a little.
"Wonderful, Raquel will take you to a room where you can change and rest. And don't worry, you'll be the first to know when Prince Vegeta wakes" I wasn't particularly worried but alright then. These aliens weren't as half bad as I thought they would be. I guess Vegeta was just a bad egg or something.
In a room far away, two people were discussing a situation anxiously.
"She's really got it bad for him Cortex. This is more than just a one night thing"
"So she likes him, what's wrong with that?"
"What's wrong is I feel she'll go to any length to get him to like her back"
"So talk her out of it. She's your sister. If she's too blind to see he's clearly of limits surely you can talk some sense into her"
"Don't you think I've already tried. It's not working Cortex. I can't get involved physically because she's my sister, and I don't want to jeopardize her happiness"
"But it's not just her happiness at stake here. She's going to come back you know. And when she does there will be consequences for your sister" The other person held up his hands.
"I only wanted to let you know what was going on. I'm done with it now"
"Very well. Just understand that you musn't get involved when the consequences hit her"
"I know, and I won't. This is her own doing…I just wish it wouldn't have to be this way"
"I know Crash. Don't we all"
I awoke with a start when green tiles met my eyes. It was not the ceiling of which I should be under. In fact I shouldn't be under a ceiling at all.
Then it hit me. Yesterday's event's, each a new knife in my chest. The stars twinkled knowingly outside the tiny window of this room.
My next thought was Vegeta. Nobody had woken me, so it was safe to assume he was still in the healing pod.
I threw the velvet quilt of my legs and swung them round to meet the tiled floor; the cold burning my skin for a moment.
"Ahh, your awake" I almost jumped, turning immediately to the fresh-faced alien at the door.
"Prince Vegeta has awoken miss, he will be with you shortly" The alien bowed and then left.
He was going to be hear shortly? But I was barely dressed! The aliens didn't really have female wear here so I had been given male boxers and a sort of bandage thing to wrap around my chest.
I scrambled up instantly and searched for my fighting gear. Luckily it was on a desk beside the bed, freshly washed and smelling of citrus.
I whipped of the bandage, quickly throwing my dress/overcoat on over my breasts. Next was the boxers, replacing them with much more comfortable panties that didn't try to compress my legs and cut of circulation.
I was just pulling on the gloves when I heard a discreet cough at the door. Crap. How long had he been there.
The blush reappeared as I heard him step into the room.
"How much did you see" I asked without turning around.
"Enough" Oh.
"What do you want from me?"
"What?" This time I turned, double checking I had all parts of my clothing on.
"You saved me. We killed your friends and you could have let them kill me. Instead you saved me. Why?" His dark eyes found mine, searching, questioning.
"Maybe I'm just soft"
"I think we both know that's not it" The heat flared up in my stomach again despite him being fully clothed this time. He stepped closer, keeping his eyes on me as he did so.
"I didn't do it because I wanted something from you"
"But you would like something from me wouldn't you? I've seen the way you look at me..Lessa"
"I honestly don't know what your on about"
"Playing hard to get are we? Well I think we both have something we want and we both know exactly what it is" Wait, both? He wants me like I want him? That's a new one.
He stalked forward, knowing he had me right where he wanted me. I would be a fool to say no.
Those full lips grew ever closer, until they met mine with a passion I hadn't thought possible.
The fire burned higher, and became all consuming.
The last thing I heard before we hit the bed, was the slam of a very exposing door.
