WOW – How time flies. It has been two years since I've updated this story on here. I'm not even sure if there are people that even remember this story. Sometimes life has a way of getting in the way. This story is very personal to me and can be difficult to write. I have lived these flash backs, I have battle with mental health, which has kept it hard to post on here. This being said I have continue to work on this story off and on for the last two years. Completing a few more chapters that I haven't posted, and going back through chapters I've already posted, adding details, changing some things. I want to give a little backstory to my story and why I've had a two year delay in updating.
One of the big delays with posting new chapters is I'm having a difficult time deciding how this should end. When I started this story I had been trying to process the abuse that I suffered as a child. Writing out my experiences using the Spencer/Ashley fanfiction was a way for me to tell my story but it be another person's story. (If that makes sense). The childhood friendship between Ashley and Spencer is all true, it's the friendship I had with my "Ashley" to include the secret hand holding, the shy kisses, and exploration. Also while we did lose touch before our senior year of high school because I ran away. It didn't happen the way it happens in this story and I never blamed my "Ashley". It was less dramatic in real life, but for the story purpose I knew there had to be tension between the two main characters. We did find each other again ten years later but it was not met with anger and mistrust. When we reconnected as adults the love had shifted from a romantic love to a sisterly love, one that came from an understanding of past life events that shaped who we are as adults. Spencer's adult relationships, job, life in this story is all fiction, and it does not match my real life at all.

So this is where I'm stuck, do I continue to write Spencer/Ashley fanfiction with the happy ending that they get together and live happily ever after or do I continue to follow their story to parallel the relationship that I have with my "Ashley." which is a sister love and each of us finding love in our amazing partners?
