FROZEN: A HANNA MARIN STORY

CHAPTER SIX: SEVEN YEARS LATER...

I slowly open my eyes and I look around me, I'm in the hospital. I feel sleepy but at the same time I feel rested, like I've slept for almost a million years. I look around the room and there's no one in there, no wait, there's a nurse checking my vitals, I open my eyes fully and look at her, "Hello," as soon I say that she looks at me. "Hanna, sweetie, how are you feeling?" She asks me, I look at her, she looks familiar like I've seen her some where before but I couldn't put my finger on it. "F-fine," she looks at me. "I'm going to go get your doctor," she tells me and then walks out of the room. I hear her gasp as she tells another nurse, "she's awake", like she was almost shocked to see me awake. Seriously, what's going on? It's been a day since my accident and I think about what I saw, Noel Kahn is A. I need to tell my friends. I sit up in my bed and look around for the phone, I grab it and dial Spencer's number. It isn't connected any more, I then dial Emily's, someone named Craig with a feminine voice said its his number, I dial Aria's number and listen carefully. I get an answer on the fourth ring, "Hello," I hear her voice, thank god, "Aria, it's me, I need to see you. Get Emily and Spencer, I know who A is," I tell her, I hear confusion in her voice. "Who is this? Why are bringing my old friends up?" She asks, I get confused myself. "Aria, it's me, Hanna," I tell her, listen to her. "I'm calling from the hospital, you need to come soon," I tell her and listen for a response, she takes a second to answer. "Uh, sure, I'll be there right away," Aria tells me and we hang up the phones.

The nurse came back in and told me she called my mother, I tried to get up and use the bathroom but she had to help me, I had trouble walking for some reason it was like my legs were broken and had to heal, and it felt like they were asleep for weeks. When my mom arrived, she walked in with Aria, I looked at them excited to see them. "Mom, Aria, where's Spence and Em?" I asks, Aria walks to one side of me, my mother on the other. Aria looks at me, "Hanna, Em's on her way," is all Aria tells me. My mother hugs me, I look at her left hand she has a huge ass diamond on her ring finger, and a wedding band. "Mom did you get married in a day?" I asks her, she looks at me, concerned. "Hanna, you've been in a coma," she tells me I'm shocked. Seriously, a coma, stuff like that only happens on tv and bad tv movies. "How long was I asleep? Mom?" I look at her, then at Aria. "Aria?" Neither one of them don't want to answer my question. "Answer me," I raise my voice scaring them. Aria looks at me, "Seven years." I look at them, then at the wall. "Seven years. No, your joking right?" My mom looks at me, "Hanna you have a little sister," she tells me. "I have a daughter, too. They're actually best friends. Its kinda cute cuz both of them have a crush on Taylor," she tells me smiling. Aria and my mother had kids. What? This is unreal, this can't be real. I must be dreaming, I smack my face.

"Wake up Hanna, this is just a dream," I tell myself, they look at me then grab a news paper that's lying in the room with me. The date on it says 2017. What the hell?

Emily arrived to the hospital and everything almost felt complete. The doctor checked Hanna's stats, she's healed and there was no brain damage just seven lost years. She had a lot of catching up to do. Ashley was in the hall talking to the doctor about bringing her home. "Where's Spencer? You called her, didn't you?" Both girls try to advert their attention some place else. They couldn't find the strength to tell her. "Spencer's not coming," Emily tells her. "She..." before she can finish telling her everything, Ashley walks in. "You can go home, are you ready to leave?" Hanna looks at her mom. "I've been ready," she smiles and gets out of the bed to change to her regular clothes. When she walks to the bathroom to change, Ashley looks at Aria and Emily. "You didn't tell her about Spencer, did you?" she asks. "I was about to tell her..." Emily begins to say. "Don't. She might go into shock, she doesn't need to know right now," she tells them. They both agree.

When Hanna walked into the house, she notices a few differences. Some furniture was different, different pictures on the walls, etc... A little girl rushes up to Ashley and hugs her. "Mommy... Is this my sister?" She looks up at Hanna. "Hi princess, what's your name?" The girl let's go of Ashley and walks up to Hanna she looks up to her and out stretches her hand, "I'm Hailea," she tells her. Hanna leans down, looking at her little sisters auburn hair. "Your so pretty," she sees her mother in her sister. "You look just like mommy," Hanna adds. Hailea grabs her hand, "Come with me, let me show you our room," she leads her upstairs Ashley watches the two sisters bond together. When Hanna walks into her room she's in shock that it almost looks the same except when she turns around and sees the other half with the second bed, the wall is covered with posters of pop stars and famous people. "It... It still looks the same," Hanna sits down on her bed. Hailea walks by her looks her in the eye, "we didn't want to change it, we knew you were coming home," Hanna starts crying. "Thank you," she tells her.

"I missed you, too," Aria tells her making Hailea turn around towards the open door. "Aunt Aria," Hailea picks herself up and runs by her. "Is Gracie with you?" She asks with all the passion in her little heart. "She's downstairs waiting for you," Aria tells her and she heads downstairs to her best friend as Aria walks in, shuts the door behind her and sitting in front of Hanna where Hailea once sat. "How are you feeling?" She asks. "Like an alien. I've lost the past 7 years of my life, thanks to A," Hanna then wants to know. "Who is A? What happened with that?" Aria goes quiet. "Stop acting like I'm a damn child. What's going on?" she makes Aria jump from the authority in her voice. "A got what they wanted, all of our lives ruined by her. Hanna, Alison was A. She got Ezra sent away to prison. He knows nothing about his daughter because of her. Emily... she lost a lot but not as much as Spencer did," Hanna gets worried. "Where is she?" Aria doesn't really want to tell her but she deserves to know. "Spencer was arrested for Alison's murder. They found her guilty in a court of law, she was sentenced to 20 to life," she begins to tell her. "Ok, but Spencer didn't kill her. You just told me Alison was alive," Hanna confirms what she just heard. "Yes, but someone did die that night and Spencer was responsible," she pauses for a second. "She admitted to killing her," Hanna is in shock, she can't believe what she's hearing about her best friend. "So she's in prison, I wanna see her, let her know I'm Ok," Hanna tells her.

"Spencer's dead," Aria says it aloud, she hasn't really admitted this to herself even after the Hastings told her. It even took a while after reading it in the paper, 'Inmate Found Dead' read the headline. She avoided it for years now, not wanting it to be real. But now telling Hanna she almost felt the sadness sink in. "She killed herself," she starts crying. "They said that's when she admitted to the death of Bethany Young, the girl whose body took Alison's place," both girls are crying. "She was there for me for the longest. I haven't even been able to admit it to myself that she was dead," Aria finishes off. Hanna looks at her. "Is there anyone else who died? I don't want to find out on the whim, I need to know," Aria thinks about it for a second, "No," she hugs her friend. Hanna dries her tears a little. "Is there any good news for anybody? What happened to Mona?"

She pulls herself away and looks her friend in the eyes, "Mona moved to LA and became a successful singer/actress she's actually staring on her sitcom," Aria takes a moment then gets happy for herself. "I'm engaged," Aria holds up her hand with her ring on it. "OMG, to who?" she asks wanting to know more. "His name's Kiel Noland, he has twins three years older than Graycon," she begins to go into complete details about how they met three years ago at the elementary school their children were attending. He was picking his kids up, it was his weekend and they both caught sight of each other and he asked her out. She said yes and things just got better ever since. After talking for nearly an hour Aria had to leave, she took Hailea for the night to let Hanna and Ashley catch up. Hanna has the rest of her life to know her sister.
