Alright, let's do part two of the date, what the older kids are doing while Icy and Slipstream are on their date
Slipstream was in her room getting ready for her date with Icy, which she was actually looking forward to, although she'd deny it if asked. She wasn't supposed to meet Icy for another two hours, but might as well get dressed now rather then later. Slipstream had decided to wear one of her most comfortable outfits; a dark purple shirt with a lighter purple jacket, grey pants that weren't exactly slacks or jeans, and her teal boots. This was Slipstream's favorite outfit and she only wore it for special occasions, so her siblings got curious.
"Hey, where are you going?" Dirge asks as he, Sunstorm, and Thrust watch Slipstream admire her short black hair.
"Why do you think I'm going somewhere?" Slipstream retorts back, turning her attention away from her mirror to her younger, annoying siblings.
"Because you never dress up unless you're going somewhere important." Dirge responds.
"I don't know why though, you look very beautiful," Sunstorm says, "even more then you usually do."
"It's not fair," Thrust whines, "you never make yourself pretty for us, only for boys."
"You guys are boys," Slipstream says, "but I'm serious, get out of my room, now!" And instead of waiting for her little brothers to leave on their own she shoves the three of them into the hall, but when she tries to close the door it's stopped.
"My, don't you look nice for your date with Icy." Starscream says smugly as he pushes the door open all the way.
"Ramjet told you, didn't he?" Slipstream says, glaring at her older brother. Ramjet pops up from behind Starscream to answer for himself.
"Oh of course not, whatever gave you that idea?" Ramjet lies. Slipstream glares at all her brothers in turn, each of them looking either smug or curious. There was no way she could stand another two hours here listening to her brothers. So what if she was going to be early? Slipstream storms past her brothers and leaves the house, heading for the park to meet with Icy.
Not even a minute after the front door had slammed shut did the boys hear knocking at the back door. Starscream smirks and goes to the back door to see Thundercracker already letting Hothead and Random in.
"I guess Icy left early too, huh?" Starscream asks.
"Jah, very early." Hothead says, "Ve'd better go too, or ve vill lose zhem."
Five minutes later Hothead, Thundercracker, Starscream, Ramjet, and Knockout, who had joined up with them, set off to follow Slipstream and Icy on their date. Not a very nice thing to do, but fun nonetheless. They caught up with Slipstream fairly quickly, and followed her for a good half an hour before she finally headed for the park.
"This is boring," Starscream whines a little too loudly. Everyone else shushes him, and turns back to Slipstream, who had finally met up with Icy. The two of them talk for a minute before they leave to wherever they were going.
"Come on," Thundercracker says. The group of spies quietly follows their siblings to a skating rink.
"Ice skating? They're going ice skating for a date?" Starscream says, not believing his eyes, "they couldn't think of something any less cold? It's freezing out here."
"No one's forcing you to come," Thundercracker says, "if you want to go home and take over babysitting, go ahead." To no one's surprise, Starscream stays with the others and just sits and watches Icy and Slipstream as they ice skate together. After what felt like forever they finally stopped skating and left to go do something else.
The group gladly stopped for hot chocolate, just as Icy and Slipstream had. They walked a ways behind the two of them so they could see what the couple was doing, but they couldn't hear them. They would have liked to hear what the two of them were saying, but it was a lot safer to stay out of hearing range because Starscream hadn't shut up all day.
"As if ice skating wasn't boring enough, but now they're just walking? I don't think they know that dates are supposed to be fun." Starscream says.
"I don't know if jou've know, but spies are supposed to be silent," Hothead growls, trying his best to send a clear warning to Starscream. But Starscream wasn't the best at noticing somewhat subtle clues.
"I mean, I knew your brother was boring, but this is an all time boring low, even for him." Starscream says.
Hothead snapped. He lunged forward to try to tackle Starscream, but failed to notice the patch of ice under his feet. He fell forward face first and hit his mouth on a rock. Hothead yelled out loudly, yet somehow wasn't heard by Slipstream and Icy. Knockout knelt to see Hothead, who was on his knees, his eyes scrunched up in pain, and he kept his hands up to his mouth.
"Hothead, I need to see this, move your hands." Knockout says sternly. Hothead moves his hands out of the way and the others can see that his mouth is bleeding quite badly. Upon closer look Knockout sees the source of the bleeding. One of Hothead's front teeth had been knocked out.
"Hothead, do you know where your tooth is?" Knockout asks, Hothead holds out one of his hands, which had the tooth in it. Knockout carefully took the tooth by it's crown and put it in a container that he had in the first aid kit he carried around everywhere. He puts the container back in the kit and takes out some gauze and gives it to Hothead.
"Keep that on your gum for now." Knockout tells Hothead, turning to the others he says "we need to get back to your house, the spy game is over." A few minutes later the group arrived at the Starscream house to find the younger kids and Breakdown playing some sort of game.
"Breakdown, stop messing around and get over here," Knockout demands. Breakdown immediately obeys and joins the older kids.
"Whoa, what happened?" Breakdown asks when he sees Hothead's hand, which was still over his mouth, with blood on it.
"Hothead here slipped on the ice and lost his tooth." Knockout says, "I'm going to call the nearest dental office, see if we can do anything about this. I need you to get Hothead some painkillers, then put a tea bag on his gum where his tooth should be."
"I'm on it, Doc," Breakdown says as he turns to do what Knockout had told him to. A few minutes later Knockout came back from his phone call and he didn't have good news.
"The nearest competent dental office is too far away. By the time we get Hothead there, the chances of getting his tooth back in isn't very good." Knockout reports. Hothead wasn't happy with this news at all.
"You're a docter, do something to fix this yourself." Hothead yells.
"I'm not a professional, not a dentist, and not a miracle worker." Knockout says hotly, "There's nothing I can do."
Ramjet, Thundercracker and Starscream watched Knockout and Hothead argue back and forth for a few minutes, too absorbed to even notice when Slipstream and Icy entered the house and went into another room. The three of them found it amusing that the two of them were arguing when they should actually be taking Hothead to the dentist to see if it was possible to fix his tooth…oh well, Hothead could live with missing a tooth.
I wasn't quite sure how to end that one, so let's just do it there. So, yeah, it was fun to write, but took nearly two hours. I have no clue why it took so long. Oh well, the next part will be what the younger kids and Breakdown are doing during the date.
