Hi folks. Well, Last chapter left us off at a bit of a cliffhanger. But, maybe to torture anyone who was wondering exactly what Calypso's deal is, I've decided to continue with the "change POVs every 2 chapters" thing. Does that mean that you won't figure it out? Not necessarily. It's just; Nico's not really going to be looking for Calypso's secrets. I guess it's just gonna increase anticipation. So now; let's get ready for some Nico. I do not own Percy Jackson, just multiple copies of the books.

Chapter 11: Visiting Team
Nico
The visits from Jason, once an extreme annoyance, were become more and more like a habit. It wasn't necessarily a good or bad thing, but I was starting to think about it less and less, even looking forward to it on some days. Look, he was the only source of information on the outside world. Without him, I would be stuck in my room, bored out of my mind, wondering what was happening to Percy. With him, I could just ask. And he's actually a really god person. He'll listen to you and try his hardest to understand and help. He was actually really helpful in getting out of the hospital later that week.
Now, what you need to understand is that I had good days and bad days. Last time had definitely been a bad day. Those were a bit more common. Jason was probably used to those by now. I'd kicked him out of the room at least ten times in the two weeks he had been visiting. The weird part is, every time he comes in, he acts like the last time didn't happen. The first time it happened, I was really creeped out. By now though, it made it feel like a fresh start, you know? The events of last time didn't affect the conversation today. I guess I could say it was a relief.
Jason came in the room with his usual swagger. He looked out and asked "You just gonna wait out here?" to someone outside the room. There was no audible answer, but the other half of that conversation must have nodded. Jason closed the door. He turned away from the door and towards me. He smiled. "Hi." He gestured to the door and wiggled his eyebrows.
I snickered. In the loudest voice I could muster without shouting, I said "Uhhhhhhhhhh. You again?" Jason snorted.
"Well," he said, "you sure are in a better mood then yesterday."
"Yeah," I replied, "I guess I'm just excited for next week."
"You're excited?" He asked.
"Well," I said, "I'm excited to get out of this place. I'm a weird mix of excited and nervous about next week at school."
"Hey man," He said, "you shouldn't worry. You'll do fine." He smiled. "And is this place really that bad."
"Oh it's bad." I said, "I cannot wait to get out of this over-sanitized wasteland"
"Is the therapy really that bad?" He asked me.
"Oh no," I said, "therapy is…" I hesitated, "horribly depressing. But that's not the issue."
"Alright" he said, "then what is?"
"Well first off," I said, "imagine the food in the cafeteria at school." He made a face at that. "Now multiply the horrible-ness of that and multiply it by about a thousand. That's the crap they give us here."
"Second," I continued, "I'm not allowed to wear shoelaces," I motioned to my slip-ons at the foot of my bed, "or a belt. So I sometimes have to hold up my jeans as I'm going to appointments." We both snickered at that image.
"Well," said Jason, "at least the staff is nice."
"I wouldn't exactly say that." I said. He gave me a look that prompted me to continue. "You know I've never seen my file. If I ask what they're writing, they just ignore me. I'm really curious. But I'll never see what they wrote."
"But is that really the staff's fault?" he asked.
"I guess not." I said. "I just wish I could, you know?"
"Yeah," he said, "I get it, but don't take it out on the staff."
"Mostly I just wish they would stop treating me like I'm not there. They don't answer anything I ask them." I frowned. "Anyway, let's stop talking about me. How was school today?"
His mouth straightened into a thin line. "You know how Percy came back today?" I nodded. "Well, he started out the day fine." He paused, as if unwilling to tell me what happened. "At around the start of second period, he had a panic attack. He was fine by the end of the day. But he missed three periods. I think this is all much worse than we had thought." Well no shit I thought. I could have told you that. He glanced up to the clock at the far wall. "Well look at that. The nurse will probably be coming in and complaining that I need to get out soon."
"Yeah," I said, "You should probably be heading out then."
He nodded slowly. "Yeah. I'll see you later."
"Yeah, see you." I said.
I watched him back up to the door and open it, waving to me with his other hand. Just before he closed the door behind us, I heard him say "Oh hey Calypso. What are you doing here?" Calypso? I thought. Where do I know that name? I guessed I had a long time to think about it, cause I had nothing else to do for the rest of the day.
I had ben think about it for the rest of the day. I hadn't come up with anything. But then, at about 9:30, I heard taps on my window. I got up out of the bed and went to the window.
Standing outside, wearing the exact same clothes he wore before, was Jason. He flashed me a smile so bright. I could see it on the second floor. Pointing to a tree that had a branch pointing to my room, he said "Do you think this is safe to climb on?"
"Try it out." I responded. "If you fall, I'm not responsible."
He grinned again and started his ascent. He climbed it relatively quickly and was soon sitting in my windowsill. "What the hell are you doing here?" I asked him. "Do you know how much trouble you could get the both of us?"
"Well," he said, "You said you wanted to read your file. And on my way out, I spotted where they keep all their files."
"They have a passcode." I said. "This is a really bad idea."
"But I saw the passcode." He responded. "Come on, where is your sense of adventure?"
I sighed. There was no way to convince him to leave. And I really wanted to know what was on that file. Yes, I know, it was a felony. I'll pay the fine. It's really not the issue. The real issue is what we found in that room.
"Ok," I said, "I'll go." Jason smiled. And in that moment, he reminded me of Percy.
Shit.
To be continued…
Ok, so I'm getting exited. My plan is to get about 20-25 chapters, but sometimes the story calls for something different. I hope you all are enjoying reading this as much as I enjoy writing it. If you are, please leave a review. If you aren't, please leave a review. As I've been saying, it means so much to me. I want to know what you guys think. See you next time. Make good decisions. Peace!
