"Training in ten minutes, everyone." Leo announced, sticking his head in the kitchen doorway. He pulled it back rather hurriedly when a slice of toast was thrown violently at it. Raph's aim is getting better.
"Raph! That was childish! And it was pretty wasteful too." He chided, as he tentatively peeped in again.
"Don't care." Raph grumbled in an irritated voice, as he crunched through another slice of toast. He didn't look that awake yet. Mikey was at the stove, humming contentedly to himself, as he deftly scrambled eggs. Leo was grateful that one of his brothers was a morning turtle. Though sometimes, Mikey's cheerfulness was a little grating even for him.
"Where's Donnie?" He asked as he noticed an empty seat in the act of sitting down himself.
"Um, I think he might still be, um…asleep?" Mikey offered helpfully, as he put eggs and toast on Leo's plate.
"Did he even go to bed before four?"
"Chill, Leo. He ate a little late supper and was in bed by eleven. Really good time for him actually."
"How did ya know that?" Raph demanded.
"Easy!" Mkey grinned back. "I got his work schedule memorized. Near the end of shift, or a little after, I show up, and distract him with my awesome distracting skills. Most of the time, I can at least get him to eat. Then, unless he is being really stubborn, I can get him to bed. Easy."
Leo and Raph stared at each other, mirroring the others expression of surprise and shock. "Mikey, you" Said Raph, jabbing a fork at him, "Are one devious turtle."
"Who me?" Mikey asked, batting his eyes with sappy innocence.
"Well, sometimes, anyway." "Awww, you like me! You really like me!"
"Ugh! Get offa me, already! Go hug Leo or sumthing."
"I really rather he didn't."
"Aww, Leo, you big meanie. I'm going to hug you anyway."
"No that…thank you Mike, I feel loved now." Leo sighed, as he patted the exuberant brother's arm. "I love you too…"
"Ya know something, I think Don needs some love right now." Raph added, evil sparkle lighting up his eyes. "Why don'tch go wake him up for practice, Mikey?"
"Okay, no problem! Dr. Prankenstien is on the job!"
The two watched as their youngest brother went bounding out of the kitchen to wake their second youngest. Leo shook his head. "That was evil."
"Hey, someone has to go wake sleeping beauty, and it ain't me." Raph shrugged.
Leo nodded and the two finished their breakfast while from the bedrooms came the sound of pure pandemonium.
