Ninja- Hey guys! This chapter is going to be a little bit stranger than most of my chapters, but that is because I bring back the Squids (Yes, I forgot them because of that month long period that I was stuck on Writer's Block) and I also explain a lot of different things in this chapter. Just to let you know, I will not be accepting any more OCs. I AM SORRY. I am already having issues remembering all of the normal characters, nevertheless OCs. CKbrothers, I am going to have your OC in here, but I have a specific place that I am going to add your character in, which won't be for another couple of chapters. Do not ever say again that "it's OK to have a guests OC I mean look at Battle of Sky Army and guess who's in it?" That really made me mad, I have to tell you that right now. I was actually tempted to not add your character in because of how much you were making me angry.
Kitty- Calm down, Ninja. Don't scare away the readers, OK? So, like she said before, here is the next chapter of Menaces of Minecraft: Craftmas and Finding Weapons! Oh, and even though Christmas has already passed, this chapter will still be about Craftmas. Just letting you guys know right now. Enjoy :)
Sky's POV-
The next morning came quickly, which was not a good thing for me. I had stayed up until one in the morning talking with AntVenom about what we had come to him for in the first place. At first, AntVenom didn't seem to believe me about the fact that we had to summon Notch, but then when I said that he didn't save us when CubeCity collapsed and the only way we could save Minecraftia was by summoning Notch to stop Herobrine and the Squids, he believed me. Ant said that in the morning he would help us summon Notch, but right then we had to sleep and he had some other important business to attend to. I became confused on what "important business" he had to take care of at one in the morning, but I didn't push it. I just walked into the living room, climbed into bed near Dawn, and I quickly fell asleep.
Right as I woke up, I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I froze right as I looked down to the bottom of my sleeping bag. At my feet sat a full gear of enchanted budder armor, complete with an enchanted budder sword and an enchanted bow with a bow of quivers with it. I quickly examined the armor, not believing what I was seeing. Just to enchant this armor would have taken a lot of XP to make, and that wasn't even including the enchantments put on the weapons. As I looked around, I quickly saw that all of my friends got similar things that I did, except more to what they preferred in armor and weapon wise. Sierra had full enchanted diamond armor, an enchanted diamond sword, a diamond Betty (or axe) and a bow and quivers. Jerome had full enchanted iron armor, an enchanted Betty, and a bow and quiver of arrows. Everyone had enchanted gear and weapons. I was in complete shock. Who did this kind act of charity to us?
AntVenom walked into the room right then, smiling towards me as he saw the shocked look on my face as I began to pull on the new gear. "Merry Craftmas, Sky and friends. I saw that you guys did not have any gear or weapons to protect yourselves against the dangerous mobs as night, so I decided to give you guys some armor and weapons, per to a certain journal that Dawnables has been keeping," He then said, smiling and leaning up against the wall.
I walked up to my girlfriend, and I asked, "You wrote down what we all preferred for weapons and armor?"
Dawn nodded. "I really didn't think that we would get all of this. I was just keeping it just in case so that if we found a nice cave system to gather resources in, we would know how much of each ore we would need to get what everyone wanted. I didn't think much of it when I started writing it, I was just going to have it for safe keeping," She said.
Smiling, I then gave her a loving side-hug. I then gave her a quick kiss. "Well, thank you for doing that for us, Dawn."
AntVenom then smacked his lips together. "OK, then, let's get down to business. We will be leaving in about an hour to start heading out on our journey to summon Notch, so before then you all need to get ready to leave and eat some breakfast." He then turned to walk back into the kitchen. I stopped him though.
"Wait, AntVenom, when did you have the time to do all of this? That must have taken you hours to gather and make!"
Venom turned towards me, and then he said, "I sent the lava Creeper TBNRfrags, or Preston, out to start gathering it last night. Eagle assisted as well as soon as you all were asleep. Once they gathered enough ores, I began to cook it all and craft it all. Enchanting it was no big deal, and then about an hour ago we set out the gear for all of you to have. It wasn't that big of a deal." He then walked back into the kitchen, beginning to make some breakfast.
While everyone else was putting on their new gear and gathering up supplies needed for the long journey, I looked around, and quickly spotted the lava Creeper. He wasn't that hard to spot, as he was really bright in this house. He was leaning up against the wall, smiling towards us and just watching us with curiosity. I walked up to him.
"I cannot thank you enough for doing this for us. Just doing this ourselves would have taken a lot of time to accomplish. So, thank you, TBNRf-"
"Please, just call me Preston. And besides, like Ant said before, it wasn't that big of a deal. We know that your job now is to protect Minecraftia and stop Herobrine and the Squids from destroying this world, he really didn't want to burden you guys with that task to gather gear. You will pay off all of the armor when you stop Herobrine and save the world from his wrath," Preston then said, smiling towards me as much as a Creeper could smile.
I nodded, and then we both fell silent. A minute later, I decided to ask the question that was on my mind for a while. "Preston, how is it that you and Eagle are mutants? How did you come to be as these... creatures?"
That question seemed to trouble the lava Creeper a little bit. He took in a deep and shaky breath, and then he said, "Well, it is a really long story."
"I have time."
Preston chuckled, and then he said, "Fine, I will tell you." Taking in another deep breath, he then began, "Well, my sister Eagle and I have been mutants like this for seven years. When we were younger, Amethyst and I were traveling through this forest, trying to find a home that we could stay in for the night. We were on the run, because our parents had died only a week before then, and if the people in our village had found out that we were their kids, they would have taken us and separated us from each other and given us to foster families. I did not want to leave my little sister to be on her own, so we ran away from home. As we were walking through the forest, the sun fell, and mobs began to spawn all around us. But they were not the big issue for us. As we were walking, a group of Squids came out of no where and decided to attack us. We did not get out of that attack without major injuries. We were both severely injured, and were slowly dying. I took the most blows, as I wanted to protect my sister, so I was the most injured. As my sister was only 10 at the time and she was a lot smaller in build than I was, she barely managed to drag me another mile or so. Finally, she collapsed from bleeding too much, and we both were lying there dying.
"Luckily, AntVenom's house was not that far from where we had collapsed, and he found us soon after Amethyst collapsed. Ant took us to his house, and he began to heal us from our wounds. But as we were so close to death and the Squids had poisoned us with something that severely damaged our DNA, Ant had to mix our DNA with the DNA of another creature. Eagle ended up getting mixed with the DNA of an Ocelot, as that DNA was simple to mix with her DNA. I was a different story. Because of how damaged I was and how close I was to death, he had to mix the more complex DNA of the Creeper to save me. None of us really know why I became a lava Creeper, but I have learned to deal with it. I thought because of how young Eagle was when she became part cat she wouldn't have survived. But she learned to live like a cat, and she became an expert hunter. Ever since that day when I was 13 I have been here with Eagle and AntVenom, living without seeing many people and surviving just on what AntVenom managed to get from the mines. We also stay here because Ant saved us, so we became his servants. A couple years ago we got over that deal, but we stayed here because Ant had become the father figure to us that we needed. It's a little awkward to think about, because he is only four years older than I am, but he saved us, and he gave us the chance to live with him." Preston looked over to Eagle, who, at that moment, was helping Bodil get into his armor and get used to his fake foot. AntVenom had made him a new foot, and it was taking him a long time to get used to it.
I nodded slowly, watching Eagle as she continued to help the others get ready. She really was helpful to us. "Reminds me of me and Sierra."
Preston looked over to me in confusion. "How? You two are not mutants like Eagle and I are."
"No, but the sibling sense of the story fits us perfectly. Technically, Sierra is not my real sister. I never actually had a real sister. But eight years ago my parents were killed and my older brother was brain-washed by Herobrine, so I was left to fend for myself in the world. Around the same time, Sierra's parents died in a car crash, so she was left to fend for herself as well. We came close together as friends, and soon, I basically adopted her into my family. She is my sister, and I am her brother. We are the only family we both have. Sierra would die for me if something bad happened to me, like I would for her. I love her with all of my heart, and if something bad happened to her, my heart would be crushed," I then explained, watching Sierra as she then began to talk to Jerome and Bajan. They were the best of friends, but if one of the two fell in love with her and broke her heart, I would not be kind to them even though they were my best friends.
Preston then smacked his lips. "Well, we should get finished getting prepared. We only have about half an hour until we leave, and you still have to eat breakfast to get your energy up for the long journey." With that, he began to walk off, but I quickly stopped him by clasping him on the shoulder.
"Preston, how would you like to join the Sky Army? We need as many people as we can get to fight against Herobrine and the Squids, and I would be honored to have you and Eagle on the fighting side," I asked him.
The lava Creeper smiled towards me, a strange sight to see on a Creeper. "I would be honored, Sky. This might actually give us the chance to get away from Ant for the first time in seven years and to go see the world." That was all he said before he walked off into the kitchen to assist Venom in finishing gathering supplies for the long journey.
About ten minutes later, I found myself sitting at the kitchen table, staring at AntVenom as he finished off his my right sat Dawn and Deadlox, and to my left sat Jason and Jordan. Everyone else was preparing for the journey, packing a lot of food and healing supplies. "So, Venom, what exactly do we need to do in order to summon Notch? And... why in the Nether do you have a giant map on your table?" I asked, looking down to the map below my arms. It was a giant map, one that showed every part of Minecraftia. I saw many famous landmarks, like where CubeCity used to stand, GeoCity, Mine Town, and even the highest mountain in all of Minecraftia, Mount Blockrest.
Quickly gulping down the rest of his breakfast, AntVenom then said, "Well, I have this map because it will help to point out where every object is that is needed to summon Notch and the Valkyrie Army."
"Valky-what?" TrueMU asked, looking towards Ant in confusion.
"Valkyrie. They are souls of the Aether reincarnated as warriors. You can think of them as guardian angels, Jason," Ant then said. TrueMU nodded, and then he allowed Venom to continue. "There are ten very powerful weapons that need to be gathered in order to summon Notch. When gathered together, they will make the Ultra Sword, and then we have to bring the Ultra Sword up to the top of Mount Blockrest to make the portal from the Aether to the OverWorld. But first, we have to gather the ten weapons. Each is guarded by a very powerful creature, and each will be in very dangerous biomes. We have the Slasher Sabers that are in the Squahara Desert, the Jack-knife Sabers in GeoForest, the Whirlpool Whiplashes in the ocean near CubeCity, the Poisonous Sword in the Wheezy Swamp, the Rugged Rapier in the Blocky Mountains, the Death Blade Katana in the Emerald Volcano, the Devious Dagger in the Bedrock Caverns, the Sharp Twin Daggers in the mysterious Ice Spikes biome, the Ender Energy Machetes in the End, and the Wither Falchio in the Nether. Each as mysterious and powerful as the next weapon. It will be a long journey to get to each area, but it will be worth it to get to summon Notch so he can help us defeat Herobrine and the Squids."
I looked over to my girlfriend, and then I said, "Well, at this point I am willing to do anything to stop Herobrine from destroying life completely as we know it. Let's go, then."
Ant smiled, and then he said, "OK, the closest one to us is the Rugged Rapier in the Blocky Mountains. We will start there and work our way from there." Pushing himself up from his seat, he then quickly adjusted his suit of armor, and then he sheathed his enchanted diamond sword so that it was handy to grab. Everyone else stood up as well, and everyone except for me and Deadlox walked out of the kitchen.
"Dude, do you really think we have to go through with this to save CubeCity? What if this is just a giant trap that will get us killed?" Ty then asked, brushing his hair out of his red eyes. I could tell that he was very nervous about doing this, and to tell the truth, I was nervous as well.
I sighed, rubbing my face in stress. "Ty, I don't know much anymore. Just last week, I was bedridden because of my stitches, and miraculously it hasn't broken again yet. Last week the only things we had to worry about were the Squids attacking us and getting robbed because random Sky Army members found out where we lived. Now, we have to worry about the possibility of getting killed at any moment, most everyone else in the world is dead, and we have to worry about trusting our own friends. We were just fine in life, and now... everything is in chaos. Sometimes I just wish that I could go back to the days when I didn't have to worry about Squids and when life was easy, before..." I took in a deep breath, and then I barely whispered, "Before I made the Sky Army."
Deadlox looked shocked. "Sky, if you hadn't made the Sky Army, you wouldn't have met half of the people you know right now. The only ones you would have known would have been me, Jason, Logdotzip, and Seto. You wouldn't have met Dawn, Sierra, Mitch, Jerome, nobody else. It may have been in different circumstances, but life would have been completely different if you hadn't made the Sky Army," Ty then said, looking at me in worry.
Turning to Ty, my anger began to boil inside of me. "But if I hadn't made the Sky Army six years ago, millions of lives would have been saved, there would not be contentions between us and the Squids and we wouldn't be in this situation right now! None of this would have happened... and we would still be living in CubeCity living out our perfect lives, dam-!"
"Sky, calm down!" Deadlox yelled, which quickly silenced me. I was actually surprised that none of my friends had come running in here to see what in the Nether was going on between us. I took in several shaky breaths, and then I slowly fell to the ground, grasping onto my head. My eyes had turned white, I knew that without having to look at myself in a mirror. Ty knelt down next to me, and then he said calmly, "Sky, every single choice leads to different consequences. Some are good, while some are bad. If you ask me, making the Sky Army was a very good choice to make six years ago. Look at your life right now. You have a wonderful girlfriend that loves you with all of her heart, you have an amazing younger sister that would not have survived if you had not taken her into your family, and you have so many friends that would die fighting next to you. People would love to have your life. You are a general of your very own army, you are an amazing brother, friend, and boyfriend to Dawn. You are so lucky to have what you have, Sky. Don't ever say that you would rather have a different life than what you have." I took in a deep breath, and then I nodded. Ty smiled, and then he quickly pulled me up from the ground. "Now, come on, General Sky. We have some weapons to collect and some Squid arses that we have to kick."
Derpy's POV- (Yay! Back to the Squids... I mean... BOO!)
Derp, Derpious and I spent the next three days searching the ruins for Sky's body, but every building that we searched through had no luck. We continually found bodies of other random Minecrafters, but none that wore a very powerful gold necklace and that was the leader of the Sky Army.
I was searching through one of the Block Towers, slithering over the rubble that most of Herobrine's minions had already searched through. But there were many places that they had missed in previous buildings. Sometimes I wondered why the most evil being in all of Minecraftia had the dumbest minions as his underlings. Over turning a couple of blocks, I glanced quickly at each body that I passed. "Nope, too skinny... not the right build... wrong hair color... wrong gender... not the right sunglasses..." I paused in my searching, sighing in annoyance. I then turned to Derp. "Yo, dude, why don't we just torch the bodies that we have already searched over? It would save a lot of work so we don't have to search over the bodies over and over again."
Derp turned to me, an annoyed look on his face. "We can't torch the bodies because Derpolollus said we had to keep the bodies in the shape they are in right now. Listen next time he gives orders by opening your Squid holes."
Right then, I felt a tentacle smack me upside the head. "Ow! What the derp, man?!" I then cried out, turning to see Derpious standing there, an angry look on his face.
"Stop being an idiot and just do what you are told to do. We will be turned into calamari if we don't find Sky's body here somewhere in this city before nightfall. Derpolollus is not happy, and if we fail him again, we will be..." Derpious then took in a gulp, not willing to finish his own statement. Derp and I nodded, knowing exactly what he was meaning about. We would be cooked alive. Not a pleasant thing to think about since we were surrounded in burnt bodies.
For a couple more hours, we scaled the ruins of the Block Towers, trying to see if maybe he was up on a higher floor. No luck in finding his body though. Finally, after those long hours of searching and having the sun go down already, Derp sighed. "Time to call it a night, guys. No luck again..." He shivered quickly, and then he said, "I don't want to face up to Derpolollus and tell him that we haven't found his body at all... we would be dead meat."
"You mean dead calamari," I then pointed out.
Both of my brothers groaned in annoyance, and then they said, "You know what, why don't you just shut up for once, Derpy. Maybe take Sky's advice once in a while and just shut up." I lowered my eyesight from them, and quickly shut up.
Derpious sighed, and then he said, "Guys, I really don't want to go back to Derpolollus and fess up for our mistakes. He said himself that we were going to be toast if we didn't get the necklace soon. I don't want to be on someone's plate because we didn't get what Derpolollus wanted us to get."
Right then, I thought of a brilliant idea. I knew it was a brilliant idea, because it felt different than all of my other plans, which all turned out horrible. Like the time when I thought it would have been a good idea to give a group of Squids weapons that were connected to their brains. That turned out badly, because in the end, they all went crazy from the weapons taking over their minds. That was a horrible idea on my part.
Turning to my brothers, I then said, "Guys, I have a great idea."
"Oh, no. Please don't have it involve anything that will end up making us look like idiots, like all of the previous times you have thought of an idea," Derpious then begged, stretching his tentacles out slightly.
I shook my head. "No, no, no. This one feels different, so I know this will work."
"Are you sure you aren't just gassy?" Derp then asked me, looking at me in confusion.
"I'm positive he's not gassy, Derp. This building would have been burnt down if he was gassy," Derpious stated.
"Only idiots are positive," I shot.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm positive." I immediately silenced, realizing what I just walked into. "Blocky Dam!" I then cried out, which caused my brothers to laugh. I then shook my head, trying to get the conversation on to something else. "Anyways, what I was thinking we should do is maybe turn ourselves into humans, and then when we find Sky (because I have a feeling that he escaped from CubeCity, so that might be the reason we can't find him or any of his close friends in these buildings), we trick him into believing we are humans, and then once we gain his trust enough, we take his amulet and take it back to Derpolollus!" I said, smiling proudly towards my brothers.
Derp fell silent, thinking over my proposal. A minute later, he then said, "Actually, the scatter-brain might have a point there."
"Hey!" I cried out, offended.
"Oh, please. You know its true, Derpy. When we were children, you got dropped on your head the most, and even the doctor said you were going to be slightly crazy and stupid from then on because of how much you were dropped on your head," Derpious then said. I nodded slightly, as his point was true.
"If we turn into humans, and we gain Sky's trust, he might let us take his amulet and then when we do that, we can take it back to Derpolollus! Then he won't turn us into calamari! You actually might have a good idea, Derpy, for once!" Derp then cried out.
I grinned. I was actually doing good for once. Now all we had to do was sneak back into the Squid realm and find potions that could transform us into humans... how bad could that be?
